00:29I'm Mike Neary, I'm head of coaching at Manchester United City.
01:00It's such a privilege to be able to travel the world and come all this way to meet the children and coach them here in Cambodia.
01:09As we've seen this morning, such passion and skill on show this morning.
01:14It really helps us as coaches connect with them straight away.
01:19So yeah, absolute pleasure to be here.
01:21Yeah, so I've worked for Manchester United Soccer Schools for about 25 years.
01:26So obviously our main purpose within Manchester United is to travel all over the world or even bring players to Manchester.
01:36To introduce them to the United way of playing and the United environment.
01:41So obviously we are very blessed in the fact that we have lots of players who have come through the Manchester United youth system to play in our first team.
01:51And we try and pass on the spirit of youth to all the players that we work with around the world.
01:57Yeah, it's so important. It's often the first connection with the game or even sport for young people.
02:05So it's really important that they have a positive introduction because that can keep them hooked to the game or even sport in general for life.
02:13So it's a massive responsibility that us coaches have, that we want them to all achieve success.
02:20And it's not always easy that, looking at your group of 16 or 20 players to try and help them all achieve success.
02:27So it's often about being patient, really trying to look at them as an individual and see what success might look like for them individually.
02:36But it's not something that happens over one session or two sessions.
02:41It can be a season. It can be many, many years.
02:45So it's so important.
02:47But ultimately, it has to be a positive experience.
02:50They have to be involved and they have to achieve some success.
02:53Yeah, the purpose of the sessions over the next three days is to really celebrate our partnership with Maybank.
03:01Who we've had a fantastic partnership with over many, many years now.
03:05And to connect with young players of all different age groups across the three days.
03:11To really just give them a positive experience.
03:14Give them a little bit of an insight into some of the sessions that we might deliver elsewhere around the world and back in Manchester.
03:20So we want to help Maybank connect with the adults here and their children.
03:26And also the coaches who we're going to speak to later.
03:29To try and pass on some knowledge to them as well.
03:31And also find out about them as well.
03:34And what their purpose is as well.
03:36They have a lot of great challenges that they are not seeing particularly good at the university.
03:42They have the opportunity to you and be with them as well.
03:44They have to pay for the whole end now.
