Washington D.C. – The White House has hinted at an imminent announcement on the India-US trade agreement, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stating, “Finalising agreements, you will hear from the President and his trade team very soon on India.”

She reaffirmed India’s importance in the Indo-Pacific, calling it “a very strategic ally,” and added that President Biden shares a “very good relationship with Prime Minister Modi,” which he intends to maintain.

Her comments came in response to a question on the US view of China’s role in the region.
