00:00Tonight, the Rangers taking on the O's in DRS, that total eight and a half.
00:05Patrick Corbin gets the start for Texas, but Baltimore an ever so slight road favorite on the road in Arlington.
00:12Yeah, take a look at Corbin. He's actually got a 98 XFIT minus, which is right around average,
00:16which you'll take out of his performances. His ERA over the past month, though, is elevated at a 5.08.
00:21Here's the question, though. Corbin is a lefty. Corbin has decent statistics, but doesn't strike guys out.
00:26Sooner than later, that gets you into a lot of trouble. But you look at the lineup tonight for the Baltimore Orioles over the past month,
00:31they don't hit left-handed pitching all that well, and that's always something to keep an eye on.
00:35Now, let's get to the other side and even have more fun. Trevor Rogers is on the mound.
00:38Only 64 total batters on the season that he's faced. He's also not a strikeout guy.
00:43Only 42 batters in the past month that he's faced, guys. He actually has a very good ISO and weighted on base percentage.
00:48But here's the kicker. Looking at that lineup coming into today for the Texas Rangers against lefties over the past month.
00:54Sam Hagerty has 25 at-bats. His weighted on base percentage against those left-handed pitchers, a 4.65.
01:00Wow, that's awesome. Adoles Garcia at a 5.21. Tremendous. Again, limited at-bats, 25 and 19, respectively.
01:06The rest of the lineup, I'm going to read you, their weighted on base percentages, Ben.
01:11Seager, 194. Simeon, 242. Heim, 064. Higashioka, 192. Young, 210. Foscue, 0. Hellman, 0.
01:21They don't hit left-handed pitching for power whatsoever.
01:25They don't strike out a lot, but there's no power numbers.
01:28It's hard to say you're going to get nine runs.
01:30Boy, these two pitchers, these two lineups, they should really hit.
01:33They don't against lefties, and you just have to ride that trend.
01:35Feels like another under to me down there in Texas.
