00:31Kaya si Sen. Risa Ontiveros may panawagan kay Senate President at Impeachment Court Presiding Officer Chief Escudero.
00:37Anytime 12.01pm onwards of today, pwede na at sana ipanumpa na ni presiding officer yung labindalawa pang bagong mga Senador.
00:48Sa labing dalawang newly elected Senators, 5 ang re-elected, si Napia Cayetano, Bato de la Rosa, Bongo, Lito Lapid at Aimee Marcos.
00:57Apat naman ang returning o mga dating Senador na nagbabalik Senado, si Nabam Aquino, Ping Lakson, Kiko Panglinan at Tito Soto.
01:06Habang tatlo ang mga bagong salta sa Senado, si Narodante Marculeta, Erwin Tulfo at Camille Villar.
01:12Sabi niyo Ontiveros, in session pa rin ang impeachment court at hindi pwedeng basta lang i-dismiss ang kinakaharap na articles of impeachment ni Vice President Sara Duterte nang hindi dumaraan sa paglilitis.
01:23Due process requires it. Hindi naman pwedeng mayroon lang motion to dismiss pagbobotohan na namin, dismiss, in effect, acquit.
01:35Gayun din, hindi naman pwedeng, hindi pa kami nagkokondukta ng trial, boboto na kami, convict.
01:41So, hindi yan patas, whether sa prosecution, whether sa impeached official, higit sa lahat, sa ating publiko.
01:51Sabi rin ni Sen. Joel Villanueva, tututulan niya kung may magmosyon na i-dismiss agad ng korte ang articles of impeachment.
01:58Yung initiation, exclusive sa House, trial, exclusive sa Senate. For me, parang napaka-clear. We need to have a trial.
02:08Gusto rin makita muna ng bagong senador na si Erwin Tulfo ang mga ebidensya kaya kailangang umabot sa trial.
02:15Pero sabi niya,
02:16I'll be the first one to say, kung within, after a few days, wala naman laman, why don't we just dismiss this?
