01:50surreal it's all thanks to the mineral deposits in the water which create these incredible shades of
01:56blue and green it's amazing to think that this hidden gem exists in a country that's often

02:12valley lies a unesco world heritage site that'll blow your mind the minaret of jam now this isn't your
02:19average minaret standing at over 60 meters tall and dating back to the 12th century this towering
02:24structure is an architectural marvel the minaret of jam is made entirely of baked bricks and is
02:30covered in intricate geometric patterns and calligraphy from the quran getting to the minaret was an
02:36adventure in itself but it was worth every second just imagine discovering this towering structure

03:54the buddhas considering them idols but even in the face of destruction there's hope today the empty

04:43through the corridor crossing high mountain passes and camping under the stars we were welcomed into

05:01civilizations for centuries and standing guard over this historic city is the citadel of herat

06:55through the pass we saw trucks loaded with goods families making their way across the border and even

07:15country's national musical instrument this stringed instrument has been a part of afghan culture for

07:35stumble upon a local musician playing the rhubarb in a tea house one evening as the music filled the
