A charity which provides counselling and one-to-one support to young people in crisis has relocated to Farnham. The High Sheriff of Surrey and mayor of Farnham were among the special guests when Headroom opened its Victoria House office last week.
00:00Welcome everybody on behalf of the Headroom team and the trustees.
00:15And for me very much it's trying to stop young people from becoming neat and that is being not in education, employment or training.
00:23And I don't know if you know but at the end of last year in Surrey there was 1,500 16 to 18 year olds who were in a position of being neat or their status wasn't known.
00:35And what a great place. What a beautiful space you've created already. I can see and feel the warmth and the positive energy already in the room.
00:44Young people's mental health is super important certainly for Farnham Town Council and whatever we can do to support you as an organisation and what we can do for young people we will absolutely do.
01:09I am so effective and so unique. So I want to thank you all sincerely for all that you do.
