00:35:27My goodness that was absolutely
00:35:31Fantastic thank you first of all you just made history. You're the first actor ever to get three and a half. Yes
00:35:36There you go. No nose by the way. No nose you didn't love it. I was close. That was amazing. It was
00:36:00Yeah
00:36:02Are you doing yes? Yes, it's about the pump. You know, she's my
00:36:08Fred, I didn't know
00:36:10Yeah, of course. Well, he's left found a couple of years ago. I made some really bad choices and was involved in a very
00:36:25Bad cheating scandal and I let down a lot of people
00:36:32It pretty much destroyed my life. It was absurd how much coverage and how big it became
00:36:43Ever since then it's like everything that I do is completely criticized
00:36:47I feel a lot of pressure. I just hope the audience and the judges see who I am as a musician
00:36:53Dude, Terry you ready? I'm ready versus just somebody on a reality show
00:36:59Oh
00:37:17Hello, hello, and I think I know who you are
00:37:20Your name is my name is Tom Sandoval. This is my band the most extras
00:37:29Okay
00:37:30You worked with a friend of mine. Oh Lisa Vanderpump. I love her. Y'all might know me from a reality TV show called Vanderpump Rules
00:37:38It was 11 seasons
00:37:40You're going from television
00:37:42Obviously now to music
00:37:44Yes
00:37:45Okay, why?
00:37:46With being on a reality TV show
00:37:48It's very much about your personal life and a couple years ago that was involved in a scandal and I was labeled as
00:37:55The most hated man in America by New York Times. I mean it was really really rough and I was in a very very dark place
00:38:03I felt as though I had nothing in my life and this band was the only thing that kept me going
00:38:11So this is kind of like what you want to be doing obviously yeah
00:38:14Yes, I would love nothing more for us to tell the world like just be like the ultimate cover band party band
00:38:23Good and are you here with anyone?
00:38:25My buddy Tom Schwartz. He's here my girlfriend Victoria
00:38:29I love you
00:38:31Okay, right Tom
00:38:33Are you ready?

00:38:40Peace
00:38:49He slept with his girlfriend's best friend
00:38:52Oh
00:38:54No one does nobody like him
00:38:56Because of that he was hated the most
00:38:58Do you know how not interested I am in any of that stuff?
00:39:03Let me know when you're ready
00:39:04All right
00:39:28We're talking away
00:39:34Well, I don't know what

00:41:01Mel, you're on your feet
00:41:21Yeah, you know why?
00:41:23Because you made me smile
00:41:25You gave me happy vibes
00:41:27And apart from that song being one of my favourite songs
00:41:30You all look like you were fully enjoying yourselves
00:41:32And you're not embarrassed to say that you are a cover band
00:41:36And I may need a cover band
00:41:41At my upcoming wedding
00:41:42So I loved it
00:41:43Yes
00:41:44I really like it
00:41:45We're so down
00:41:46I liked it
00:41:47I liked it

00:41:53I thought you guys brought us joy tonight
00:41:56Thank you, thank you
00:41:58Tom is a showman
00:42:00He really takes this seriously
00:42:02It's a fun night at a club
00:42:04For me it was great
00:42:06For me the vocals weren't great Tom
00:42:12I'm going to be on this video
00:42:19However
00:42:21However
00:42:23Not everyone comes on this show to get a record deal
00:42:26Sometimes it's about being true to who you are
00:42:30So Mel
00:42:32100% yes yes yes
00:42:34Yes, yes, yes!
00:42:36Yes, yes, yes!
00:42:42So say yes!

00:42:58Thank you so much, guys. Thank you.
00:43:00Thank you so much.
00:43:04I got so nervous my throat like
00:43:16That's real life. That's what happens to some people. So I don't give a about a scandal
00:43:21What does this mean? It means it means so much to me to like see all these people coming from different places
00:43:27That come together and they were happy and cheering for us and rooting for us
00:43:32That means so much to me. I've I liked it. I'm cheesy. All right. Here we go folks
00:43:56Yeah, okay
00:43:58Yes, of course, but it's very very scary
00:44:13We want to bring our act to the mainstream and to the world so last year we went to Britain's got talent
00:44:20But it did not go well
00:44:22And I'm just a close-up
00:44:28Stardust, you are going home
00:44:32Standing in the darkness and understanding that the dream is finished at that point. It was really hard to accept
00:44:42We just felt heartbroken we decided that that's not the finish of the story that we need to
00:44:49See Simon again and prove him wrong that we can do
00:44:55I'm gonna say no
00:44:58We really know how painful it is to go home
00:45:03We need to prove ourselves this time
00:45:05I'm gonna answer right backstage

00:54:21This thing started as a child, went quickly to a kind of a record deal that happened pretty
00:54:27quickly.
00:54:28That went south like a lot of them do.
00:54:31Yeah.
00:54:31And then I just kept going.
00:54:33And then next thing you know, it's 10, 12 years later.
00:54:35Wow.
00:54:36And I have somebody like my mother who has been asking me to do this show for a decade at
00:54:41least.
00:54:41Because she's friends with Taiman.
00:54:43Because she's friends with Sani.
00:54:45We already met today.
00:54:49That's for you, mom.
00:54:51Okay.
00:54:52And how old are you?
00:54:53I'm 40 years old.
00:54:56It came fast.
00:54:59Good.
00:54:59Okay.
00:54:59Let's do it.
00:55:00Love you, Chuck.
00:55:09Love you, Chuck.
00:55:18And I give up forever to touch it.
00:55:23Because I know that you feel me somehow.
00:55:26You're the closest heaven that I'll ever be in.
00:55:33I don't want to go home right now.
00:55:39And all I can taste is more.
00:55:44And all I can breathe is yours.
00:55:48And sooner or later it's over.
00:55:52I just don't want to miss you tonight.
00:56:00And I don't want the world to see me.
00:56:04Because I don't think they'd understand.
00:56:09When everything's meant to be broken.
00:56:13And I just want you to know why.
00:56:20And you can't fight the tears the day you come.
00:56:25Or the moment of truth in your heart.
00:56:30When everything feels like the moves.
00:56:34Yeah, you please just know you're alive.
00:56:41And I don't want the world to see me.
00:56:46Because I don't think that they'd understand.
00:56:50When everything's meant to be broken.
00:56:55I just want you to know who I am.
00:57:00I just want you to know who I am.
00:57:04I want you to know who I am.
00:57:34Howie I really like you I like your vibe
00:57:40There's a vibe about you that is kind of this relaxed
00:57:43Maybe it's the fact that you're turning 40 years old
00:57:45You've been doing it and you know who you are now more than you did when you had your record deal
00:57:54You're a great performer great singer great guitarist player, but I think today
00:57:59Nerves threw you off. Okay. There's so much more that I know you can give okay
00:58:05But I mean you had me at the first strumming of your guitar
00:58:17Like you can go very far in this competition
00:58:20Thank you
00:58:25If this was about giving you confidence this absolutely works
00:58:33You have a presence about you
00:58:39If you can reinterpret a song in a way that we've never heard before then it goes from here to there
00:58:45Because you don't have to worry about your voice or your stage presence because you've got that
00:58:50Thank you
00:58:52I like you

01:04:58I guess my butt is just kind of the tip of the iceberg as to what I can do
01:05:02Because I like to surprise

01:05:46Mal!
01:05:48I mean, first of all, congratulations on breaking your own record.
01:05:53Thanks so much.
01:05:54But I'm sorry, Andrea. That's just...
01:05:59It could be another world record.
01:06:03Well, if you'd have asked me what we were going to see as a world record this year,
01:06:09I would not have guessed that and certainly wouldn't have guessed what you were going to do
01:06:14if you got through to the finals.
01:06:17So, I just have to say yes.
01:06:20Thank you! I do.
01:06:26She worked her butt after that.
01:06:28She worked her butt after that.
01:06:31We're from Altadena, California.
01:06:33We, like thousands of other families, lost our home.
01:06:36What went to fire?
01:06:37We don't really have a whole lot right now, but we escaped with our lives, and we're so grateful to be here.
01:06:41Our hearts go out to you. Best of luck.
01:06:44How are you?
01:06:45Well, you were backstage a long time, weren't you?
01:06:46Give it up for our last act, everybody.
01:06:47My name is Sheila King. I'm a comedian. I work in the family business. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife and children. Two girls. They're so smart and beautiful. I love being a father.
01:06:59What's up, man? How are you, buddy? How are you?
01:07:01How are you?
01:07:02What's up? What's up?
01:07:03Which night?
01:07:04I'm excited. I'm nervous. I'm happy.
01:07:06To come on the 20th season just means everything. Can we take a look at Terry's mic, please?
01:07:32Hi, how are you, buddy?
01:07:43I'm good, I'm good.
01:07:43So I was, you know, when we come out on stage, we all come through the back and I meet people
01:07:47and I didn't know what you do and you were incredibly funny.
01:07:53And I was just trying to be, I was just trying to be inspirational and I said, you've got
01:07:58to realize what Simon always says to people.
01:08:00What do you always say?
01:08:01Two minutes could change your life.
01:08:03Yes.
01:08:03And you said.
01:08:04And I told him, I said, I know because two minutes is how I got my kids.
01:08:12That's funny.
01:08:13That's it.
01:08:14That's funny.
01:08:16Go ahead, young man.
01:08:18Ladies and gentlemen, that's right.
01:08:20I am a comedian and I'm also a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
01:08:25So, thank you.
01:08:27So, with that being said, if anybody in here starts choking, go on and let God have his
01:08:33way now so I can leave here with a check.
01:08:37People don't believe me when I say that, you know, I'm a funeral director.
01:08:43You know, they don't believe me.
01:08:44And I know why.
01:08:45It's because I act normal.
01:08:47Like, I don't act like the Undertaker.
01:08:49You know how, like, most morticians act like they dead, too?
01:08:54You know what I mean?
01:08:54You know what I'm talking about?
01:08:55I got them cold hands and be talking all slow and weary.
01:09:00How are you feeling today?
01:09:03They only want to talk about the people they think are getting ready to die.
01:09:07How is your grandmother doing?
01:09:10And that's when you get mad.
01:09:12If my grandmama find Dracula, get away from me.
01:09:15My grandmama ran two miles this morning.
01:09:18She's doing good.
01:09:21And y'all love to ask me crazy questions when y'all find out that I'm a funeral director.
01:09:26This is the number one crazy question.
01:09:28Y'all, hey, man, let me ask you something.
01:09:32Has a dead person ever sat up and tried to grab you?
01:09:35Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:09:36And I'm glad I'm on national TV so I can make this clear.
01:09:40If I go and get a dead body and for any reason they move, let alone grab me,
01:09:47that's my last day at work.
01:09:54The crazy thing is that one time I actually thought a dead person grabbed me.
01:10:00We got a call.
01:10:01They said a dead person died, okay?
01:10:03So quite naturally, we go to pick up the body.
01:10:06We get the man on the stretcher.
01:10:07We get to the back of the hearse.
01:10:09I open the hearse door to put the dead man in the back of the hearse.
01:10:13And somehow, some kind of way, I didn't see it,
01:10:17but the dead man's hand fell to the side.
01:10:22But I didn't see it because I got my back turned to me.
01:10:24I didn't see it, okay?
01:10:25And the hand messed around and wrapped around the back of my leg.
01:10:29All I can do is...
01:10:32Let me tell you something, you don't know embarrassment
01:10:39until you've had the look of family in the face
01:10:44and say, I'm sorry for peeing on your daddy.
01:10:48And that'll be $10,000.
01:10:53Thank you, AGT.
01:10:55Appreciate it.
01:10:55Yeah!
01:10:57You are wonderful.
01:11:05You know what?
01:11:05We say this in comedy.
01:11:06You killed.
01:11:07And that's good for you, right?
01:11:08In your business.
01:11:10Yeah.
01:11:11Simon, you stood up.
01:11:12This is brilliant.
01:11:14I mean, seriously brilliant.
01:11:16You're like a funny funeral director.
01:11:18I mean, that is fantastic.
01:11:22And you're right.
01:11:23They're so serious.
01:11:24And they all want you to die like you said.
01:11:28Listen, Simon got it.
01:11:29He got it.
01:11:31You are a natural.
01:11:32I mean, seriously.
01:11:36Sofia.
01:11:37I mean, you are amazing.
01:11:38I mean, the moment you walk on the stage,
01:11:40you were funny.
01:11:41You look great.
01:11:42Your energy is amazing.
01:11:44It was funny.
01:11:46Mel, what do you think?
01:11:47Yeah, well, you made me belly laugh.
01:11:49And I love a good belly laugh.
01:11:51You got me.
01:11:52You're a character.
01:11:53I wanted to hear more and more and more.
01:11:55You're very funny.
01:11:56I, as a comedian, would like to give you your first yes.
01:11:59You're amazing.
01:12:01Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
01:12:03Three yeses.
01:12:04Without question, the funniest person we've had this year.
01:12:09Four yeses.
01:12:15Yes.
01:12:17Yes.
01:12:30Brilliant.
01:12:31Isn't that great?
01:12:32It's real life.
01:12:32It's not real.
01:12:33It's his life.
01:12:34He ain't on a dead man.
01:12:35Oh.
01:12:36Music has been a healing factor for all of us.
01:12:52It's something that unifies us.
01:12:57Are you family members?
01:12:58We are.
01:12:59Okay.
01:12:59How are you really?
01:13:00This is mom.
01:13:01It's been great to grow up with parents that really encouraged music.
01:13:06Our dad's here supporting us.
01:13:09He encouraged us to go for our dreams and he loves when we sing.
01:13:15We are here to share our voices and our hearts with America.
01:13:23Okay, here we go.
01:13:29We don't have much, but we have this.
01:13:31Exactly.
01:13:31Look at the fam out there.
01:13:40Hello.
01:13:41Hi.
01:13:41How are you?
01:13:42Pretty good.
01:13:43Who are you?
01:13:44We are the Ben family.
01:13:46Are you all siblings?
01:13:49Tell me about who you are.
01:13:50We're a big, big, big family.
01:13:51It's five of us up here, but there's seven siblings, our two parents, and my sisters have some little
01:13:56ones out there.
01:13:56We have my family.
01:13:59Where are you from?
01:14:01Altadena, California.
01:14:02Oh, okay.
01:14:03We're just a few miles up the road, and we, like thousands of other families, lost our
01:14:09home in January.
01:14:10Sorry.
01:14:11Oh, with the fire.
01:14:12Oh.
01:14:13The Altadena fire took our city and all of our homes.
01:14:17Oh.
01:14:18I'm sorry.
01:14:19Yeah.
01:14:22Altadena, California was a beautiful town just up the street from this building.
01:14:27That day, seeing fires right outside my own home, I just panicked and got right into survival
01:14:37mode.
01:14:38I didn't know that a few hours later the whole city would be gone.
01:14:47We come from a very big and beautiful family, a lineage of people that live in Altadena, and
01:14:52our legacy was the homes that we owned, and that beautiful community.
01:14:58The loss of that is something that we're having a hard time getting over.
01:15:02It wasn't just our home.
01:15:03It was our friends, our relatives, our neighbors.
01:15:07But we have something to sing bigger now than we've ever had.
01:15:12It's, I feel like, our time and our city's time.
01:15:16You know, displacement is a weird feeling.
01:15:19You wake up each day, and you remember the things you have to get and do and realize they're
01:15:24not there.
01:15:26Life is very different now.
01:15:28We don't really have a whole lot right now, and we're working on getting it back.
01:15:32But more importantly, we escaped with our lives, and we're so grateful to be here.
01:15:39Yes.
01:15:39I cannot even imagine what it feels like to go through the loss that you are going through.
01:15:48And then, to have the strength to show up here today, what do you hope to get out of what
01:15:55you're going to do today?
01:15:56We love our city, and we love the people in our city.
01:16:01We loved our neighborhood.
01:16:02We love our neighborhood, and this is a salute to Altadena.
01:16:07And this is our love song to you.
01:16:21Well, you know what?
01:16:23Our hearts go out to you.
01:16:25And I wish you the best of luck.
01:16:29You are not hidden
01:16:59There's never been a moment you were forgotten
01:17:05You are not hopeless
01:17:09Though you've been broken, your innocence stolen
01:17:15I hear you whisper underneath your breath
01:17:24I hear your SOS, your SOS
01:17:34I will send out an army to find you
01:17:42In the middle of the darkest night
01:17:46I will rescue you
