00:00The story begins in the 1890s in London, in a grim and eerie room.
00:06We are immediately introduced to a disturbed and dangerous man, William Colcott, a serial killer unlike any other.
00:15Around him lie the lifeless bodies of several women.
00:19One woman is still alive, tied up and terrified, lying on a table.
00:24Beneath that same table is the body of William's dead wife.
00:28William isn't just a murderer, he's someone who believes in the dark arts.
00:34Obsessed with bringing his wife back to life, he made a pact with evil forces, and sacrificed 27 women in the process.
00:43Using black magic, he believed that these sacrifices would help him resurrect his beloved.
00:49But despite all his horrific acts, his wife remained dead.
00:53As the woman on the table regains consciousness, she begins to scream in horror.
00:59William grabs a knife and prepares to slit her throat.
01:03But just then, the police arrive.

01:21What are you waiting for to be part of this story?
01:24The tension explodes as William doesn't stop.
01:28He kills the woman right in front of them, and even manages to murder one of the officers before finally being captured and beaten into submission.
01:37As he's dragged away, his blood-soaked eyes glances one last time at his wife's corpse, disappointed that she's still lifeless.
01:46Days later, we see William in prison, guarded heavily.
01:49Two officers, George and Philip, escort a priest into his cell.
01:55William has been talking to himself, clearly disturbed.
01:59Today is the day he faces execution.
02:02And not just any execution, it's the first ever trial of the electric chair brought in from America.
02:09In the execution chamber, the governor reads out William's charges, the brutal murders of 28 women.
02:16He tries to offer spiritual peace, saying, may God rest your soul.
02:22William simply smiles and replies, your God will never have my soul.
02:27He had already surrendered it to something much darker.
02:31Then comes the moment of reckoning.
02:33Guards cover William's face and activate the electric chair.
02:37The crowd watches in shock.
02:40William doesn't die immediately.
02:42He survives the first surge.
02:44More electricity is sent through his body, until finally his body gives out.
02:50But even in death, something about him feels unfinished.
02:55The story then introduces us to two new characters, Frederick Ladbrook and his niece, Emma Wicks.
03:02Together, they work as post-mortem photographers, capturing images of the dead for official records.
03:09They're summoned to the morgue to photograph William's corpse.
03:12It's worth noting, Emma's involvement in this work is unusual.
03:17In this era, such professions were typically reserved for men.
03:21Her presence raises eyebrows, and even at the morgue, a policeman remarks that this is no place for a young woman.
03:29Inside, George leads them to William's body.
03:32Frederick asks who he was, and George replies, grimly, he killed 28 women.
03:38As Emma sets up the camera and looks through the lens, she suddenly sees William move, just slightly, but enough to startle her.
03:47George asks if she's okay.
03:49Though shaken, Emma brushes it off, and they leave shortly after.
03:53The next day, we find Frederick and Emma at the British Paranormal Society, where Frederick passionately explains a device he's built.
04:02He believes that when a person dies, their soul transforms into energy, and that energy can be attracted, detected, and even communicated with.
04:12His machine, he claims, can prove this, but the society laughs at him.
04:18They mock his machine, saying a simple Ouija board does the job better.
04:23Frederick is frustrated.
04:25He's spent his life chasing this dream.
04:28Emma tries to encourage him, but Frederick feels defeated.
04:32He tells her to live a normal life, to get married, and not follow the same lonely path he did.
04:38That evening, a mysterious man named Lucian Howe meets Frederick at a bar.
04:44Lucian encourages him not to give up.
04:47When your machine is ready, bring it to me, he says.
04:51Meanwhile, back at home, Emma continues to quietly work on the machine, refusing to let the dream die.
04:58As Emma continues refining the machine, something sinister unfolds inside the prison.
05:03A terrified inmate begs Officer George to kill him before the next morning.
05:09He claims he's been hearing William's voice, whispering to him from beyond the grave.
05:15George dismisses it, thinking it's just fear.
05:18But later that night, the inmate's demeanor suddenly shifts.
05:22The fear is gone, replaced by eerie calm.
05:26Moments later, he hangs himself using his scarf.
05:29The next morning, Emma studies the photograph she took of William's corpse.
05:35There's something odd in the image, distortions, as if William is looking back at her.
05:42Frederick suspects it might be a double exposure, but when she reprints it, the anomaly remains.
05:48This confirms his theory.
05:50A spirit is tied to the photo.
05:53If true, this could be the proof they need to test the machine.
05:57They head back to the prison, asking George about the recent suicide.
06:03George reveals that the inmate had claimed to hear William's voice.
06:07Strange occurrences are spreading across the prison, and inmates are becoming unstable.
06:12George suggests bringing in a priest for protection.
06:16During a reading of the Bible, the priest experiences a violent attack by an unseen force.
06:22His Bible flies across the room, and he's thrown against the wall.
06:26When questioned later, the priest confesses in Forer,
06:30I saw the devil.
06:32Enter Lucian Howe, a renowned paranormal investigator.
06:37Alongside Emma and Frederick, he arrives to examine the prison.
06:41While the governor is skeptical,
06:43Lucian insists on using Frederick's machine to connect with the spirit world.
06:48Emma sets it up and activates it during a controlled test.
06:52The result?
06:53A chilling, demonic voice is captured on the audio device, proof that something is haunting
06:59the prison.
07:00Lucian is impressed, but warns,
07:03Don't activate the machine again unless I say so.
07:07Meanwhile, Frederick grows suspicious that Lucian might take credit for the invention.
07:12Emma reassures him, but tension remains.
07:15Separately, Lucian requests a personal item of William's from the governor, his welling ring.
07:22When Lucian touches it, he's pulled into a terrifying vision.
07:26Flashes of William's death, his wife's corpse, and the ritualistic horror.
07:32Back at the prison, Emma begins hearing strange whispers.
07:36Suddenly, she's possessed by William, who drags her to the electric chair.
07:41Just in time, Frederick rushes in and saves her.
07:45That night, the machine turns on by itself, powered by William's spirit, feeding off energy
07:51to grow stronger.
07:53As the paranormal chaos intensifies, Marie, George's wife, shows up at the prison gates,
08:00furious, demanding to see her husband.
08:03She hasn't heard from him in days.
08:05After arguing, the guards finally let her in.
08:08But something is terribly wrong.
08:12William's spirit possesses Marie, and what follows is a shocking bloodbath.
08:17She murders George by strangling him, then vomits blood onto Officer Philip, suffocating
08:23him to death too.
08:25Her rampage continues as she hunts down others inside the prison.
08:30Meanwhile, Lucian tells Emma she carries a protective spiritual aura, possibly the reason she has survived
08:37so far.
08:38But, as Marie, under William's control, activates the energy machine, she begins spinning it violently,
08:46releasing more and more supernatural energy, feeding William's power.
08:51Marie then attacks Frederick.
08:54Though wounded, he manages to kill her, but William's grip hasn't loosened yet.
08:59Marie's body rises again and lunges at Emma.
09:02This time, Emma fights back and kills her again.
09:07As Marie mutters dark incantations in an unknown demonic language, Lucian warns everyone, don't
09:14interfere, let her go.
09:16But Marie, now fully controlled by William, chases down the injured priest, strangling him
09:22with his own holy locket, leaving yet another victim in her wake.
09:27Lucian, now desperate, confronts William's spirit directly.
09:31He warns William that he can never truly bring his wife back because he no longer has a physical
09:37body to contain her soul.
09:40Furious, William turns on Marie and kills her from within, ending her possession and destroying
09:47her body completely.
09:49The team regroups.
09:51Frederick and Emma realize the only way to defeat William is to reverse the machine's
09:55energy flow, draining power from William instead of feeding it to him.
10:00But they need a personal item that weakens him, not strengthens.
10:04Lucian had tried using William's wedding ring, but it only made the spirit stronger.
10:10That's when Emma suggests using the jail cell key, a symbol of his imprisonment and suffering.
10:15Lucian agrees it might work.
10:17Frederick hooks up the energy machine to the electric chair and sets the trap.
10:22Lucian provokes William, daring him to attack.
10:25Fueled by rage, William charges.
10:28The machine powers up, siphoning his energy, weakening him.
10:33At the final moment, Lucian traps William's spirit inside the jail cell key, locking him
10:38away for good.
10:39The group stands exhausted, but relieved.
10:42Finally, the prison has been freed from its curse.
10:45The governor meets them in the warden's office, thanking each of them for putting an end to
10:50the nightmare.
10:51The gates are closed now, he says, metaphorically and literally.
10:56He opens the main exit, allowing everyone to finally leave.
11:00Days later, Lucian visits Frederick and Emma at their home.
11:04He hands them an envelope containing payment for their work, but also brings with him a question.
11:09What's next for you two?
11:10Frederick, who once thought his life's work was meaningless, now feels a strange sense
11:16of fulfillment.
11:17He replies,
11:18We were thinking about going back to post-mortem photography.
11:21Something simpler, Emma adds, half-smiling.
11:25Something less haunted.
11:27Before leaving, Emma asks about the key, the object that now holds William's tormented soul.
11:33Lucian explains that he sealed it in a heavy box and buried it within the prison wall,
11:38deep behind bricks, never to be found again.
11:41No one will ever reach it, he assures them.
11:44But as Lucian walks away, there's an unspoken weight in the air.
11:49None of them are completely convinced it's over.
11:52That night, as Frederick sits alone, he removes the glove from his hand,
11:56the one he's kept hidden ever since the night they defeated William.
12:00Beneath it, his hand is decaying, dark veins spreading beneath the skin like rot.
12:06It's the same hand he used to operate the machine during the final ritual.
12:11Was William truly sealed away, or did a part of him escape through the machine?
