Tibetans gear up to celebrate Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday, preparations in full swing in Dharamshala

Dharamshala (HP), June 29, 2025 (ANI): Tibetans gear up to celebrate Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday, reparations are in full swing in Dharamshala. Few parliamentarians in-exile and other members of organising committee arrived at Kangra Airport to welcome spiritual gurus who are coming to attend the grand celebration. The Dalai Lama will officially turn 90 on July 6, but according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, his birthday falls tomorrow. Special arrangements have been made to celebrate the occasion in Dharamshala. The Dalai Lama will attend the event on June 30 at the main Tibetan temple, Tsuglagkhang here in the North Indian hill town Dharamshala.

01:35And this preparation has never done like this before in this temple.

01:41And looking around, everyone's so busy.

01:43And I'm here for tomorrow for preparation for dance.

01:58There's lots of long-lived prayers for Him.

02:30Yeah, and for Tibetans, we are very much happy.

02:43Tomorrow we have a program like we are inviting special guests from all over the world.

02:51And then our high Lamas and monks, and then guests from India and other countries.

03:04And then we are going to celebrate it in our traditional way, like dancing and singing.

03:20All the Tibetans are gathering here to pray for long life of His Holiness.
