The Young And The Restless – Episode 6-26 (2025)
Transcript
00:00Good morning.
00:18Good morning.
00:20What an incredible view.
00:23Yes, it is.
00:30Good morning.
01:00Good morning.
01:10Okay, girl, what the heck are you doing?
01:14You know, I'm sure the French have a word for it.
01:18Yeah, hopefully it's closer to voyeur than liaison or affair.
01:23Ah, ladies.
01:26Good morning.
01:28Looks like you certainly are having one.
01:31Nothing like a workout on play air, as the French would say.
01:34Huh, I knew there was a word for it.
01:36It's a beautiful day, despite that crazy rainstorm that came through last night.
01:40Yeah, the way the rain was pelting, the roof and the windows of the train, it sounded like hell.
01:46Yeah, it was so loud, it kept me and Billy up.
01:49Yeah, I wonder if there was any flooding in the lowlands.
01:52I don't know.
01:53I just hope the lightning didn't damage any of the cell towers.
01:56We were already having a problem, and if we want to get a call out, that's the last thing we need.
02:00Have you guys had any cell service?
02:01No luck here.
02:02Claire, I hate being cut off.
02:04I'm sure Claire's wondering why I haven't called.
02:06Yeah, Nate, too.
02:08Quite a few people back home must be wondering the same thing.
02:11But I'm sure Genoa City is surviving just fine.
02:15I thought the two of you could really use this.
02:27It's a psalm, black tea, it's the strongest there is, and I added cream and sugar for an extra pick-me-up.
02:35Thank you, Esther.
02:37We need all of the strength that we can get right now.
02:41Well, how is Cole?
02:42Is he still in the hospital in Chicago, or did you bring him back with you?
02:48No, we just came back to check on Johnny and Katie, pick up some fresh clothes.
02:54He was sleeping peacefully when we left him, and we plan to be back in Chicago before he makes up.
03:00Oh, but he's getting better, right?
03:03The doctors are treating it aggressively, but so far there really hasn't been any change.
03:09It's pneumonia?
03:10He was diagnosed with Legionnaire's disease.
03:14It's a very serious form of pneumonia.
03:16Oh, no, I'm really sorry to hear that.
03:19It's okay.
03:20He's in the right place, and he can beat this.
03:25He's gonna get better.
03:29I'm sorry.
03:30You know, it's highly possible the storm may matter's worse.
03:44Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised.
03:46But how much worse can it get?
03:47I haven't had any cell phone service since I got here.
03:50I haven't been able to reach Nate once.
03:52Yeah, I hate being cut off like this.
03:54It's like we dropped off the face of the Earth.
03:55I mean, maybe now that Dumas' identity has been revealed, he will help us connect with the outside world.
04:00I don't know.
04:01At this point, I wouldn't count on our hosts for anything except more fancy catering and shocking surprises.
04:07You know, I did hear some new guests come on board last night.
04:11Mm-hmm.
04:11Yeah, you're right.
04:12I was still in the maze when the Baldwin's, Abby Newman, and Detective Chancellor arrived.
04:18Chance is here.
04:19That's strange.
04:20I thought my dad said that Lauren and Michael declined their invitation.
04:24Apparently, they said Dumas, or Kane, was insistent.
04:28Oh, I wonder why.
04:31The more, the merrier.
04:33Well, I guess we will find out soon.
04:36We're not.
04:36But in the meantime, I'm going to take a dip in the pool and cool off.
04:46Audra?
04:48What is going on?
04:50What do you mean?
04:53Just because you and Nate haven't talked doesn't mean he's not faithfully waiting for you back at home.
04:58Esther, we appreciate your concern.
05:04It's just been a really long day.
05:06We're just a little on edge.
05:09We're worried about Cole right now, so...
05:12Well, I hope you know that he's in my prayers.
05:15And I'm sure that it's just a matter of time before the doctors find the right medication.
05:21And then he'll be on the road to a full recovery.
05:25Yes, he's in good hands right now.
05:28And I know he's going to be okay.
05:31He has to be.
05:33Well, let me know if I can get you anything, okay?
05:42Hey, um, I don't mean to intrude, but is everything okay?
05:46It's Cole.
05:48The doctors in Chicago have diagnosed him with Legionnaire's disease.
05:53I'm sorry to hear that.
05:55They've tried several treatment protocols, but nothing seems to be working.
05:59Even the most aggressive antibiotics.
06:01So we're just...
06:03You know, we're just a little worried right now.
06:05Okay.
06:07Well, look.
06:09You have to give the drugs time to work.
06:11Sometimes that can take weeks.
06:14Were they able to bring his fever down?
06:17It's not as high as it was.
06:19Thank God.
06:20Good.
06:21That's a good sign.
06:21But it's still too high.
06:23The doctor said so.
06:25He's not on the ventilator, right?
06:27No.
06:27That's good as well.
06:29Look, sometimes it's just about finding the right combination of antibiotics.
06:34And it sounds like the doctors are doing all the right things.
06:37I overheard one of the nurses saying that the doctors think they might not have caught it
06:43in time, that that's why he's not responding to any of the medication.
06:46It's true.
06:48Legionnaire's response better to treatment when it's first detected.
06:51Early.
06:52But I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that it's too late.
06:56There's still time for him to respond.
06:57It's just a matter of finding the right combination of meds.
07:02You really think that?
07:03Yes.
07:04With hospitalization and the right treatment, healthy people usually recover from this disease.
07:10And Cole's a strong guy.
07:12No underlying conditions, right?
07:14No, that's what his care team told us, too.
07:19And trust the doctors.
07:21I'm sure Victor found the best in the field.
07:23Yes.
07:25I want to be strong right now, and I'm trying really hard to be strong.
07:29I actually can't.
07:31I actually can't.
07:32I have to go.
07:33Um, I have to get some, some air.
07:37I will be right back.
07:38I'll see you, I'll see you at home.
07:46You know, um, I think you could use some air as well.
07:54You make it sound like Nate has something to worry about regarding my faithfulness.
08:00Does he?
08:01There's nothing going on.
08:05Okay, no, wait.
08:06Backtrack.
08:07There is something going on.
08:10Kyle and I are hoping to pitch to Ma, a cane, on the details of our cosmetics were publicity sent today.
08:18Other than that, there's nothing going on.
08:21That's it.
08:23There's nothing between us beyond that.
08:27Audra, I saw you checking out Kyle.
08:32And I get it.
08:33It's not that he doesn't have a lot to check out.
08:35But, trust me, my interest in Kyle is strictly business.
08:41Whose business?
08:43What do you mean?
08:44Well, are you forgetting that you told me about the stipulation Victor made about funding for Bronte seducing Kyle away from Claire?
08:53Okay, but I also told you I would never do anything to jeopardize my relationship with Nate.
08:58Well, I hope that's true.
09:01Things are finally getting back on track with you.
09:03And I'm not just referring to Nate.
09:05You have for Bronte to consider, too.
09:07And if you're trying to play Victor, that could blow up in your face, too.
09:12Okay, that is my number one priority.
09:15Everything that I'm doing is for the benefit of my company.
09:17I don't know.
09:20It just seems like high stakes, high risk.
09:24Cutting off Kyle Abbott and Victor Newman.
09:27If you ask me, we're playing with fire.
09:31Just please give me some credit.
09:34I have everything under control.
09:36I know exactly what I'm doing.
09:38I am the shot caller in all of this.
09:40And I promise you, nothing will happen that I don't control.
09:46Okay.
09:56You know what?
09:57You were right.
09:58I did need to take a deep breath or two myself.
10:02Yeah, I got the feeling you could use the privacy, too.
10:06Lester means well.
10:08Yeah, the concern can be a bit much.
10:13And I didn't mean to butt in this well.
10:15No, no.
10:16I know your concern was very helpful.
10:18I mean, I really appreciate you giving your perspective.
10:22And, you know, giving us some hope.
10:24Of course.
10:25I know the fear you and Claire must be feeling right now.
10:31All the uncertainty.
10:32It's not easy.
10:33It's not easy.
10:35There's just this knot in my stomach that I can't get rid of.
10:40My own concerns.
10:41I hate seeing her carrying around all of this turmoil.
10:47You know, seeing her father hooked up in that hospital.
10:51The father that she finally found again after all these years.
10:59Just, it breaks my heart, Nate.
11:01She got the mother she finally found as well.
11:04I see how hard you're working to stay strong for her.
11:09But I also know how hard this is, if not more so on you.
11:13And sometimes it helps to talk to someone who's a little removed from the situation.
11:21So I'm here to listen.
11:23Absorb some of that pain if I can.
11:25You know, you really were a great doctor.
11:29Her bedside manner was so compassionate and caring.
11:33Clearly, you have not lost your touch.
11:38It's part of the job I hope I never lose.
11:41But you don't have to work in medicine to empathize or lend an ear.
11:46Do you ever miss it?
11:48Do you ever regret switching careers?
11:55Hello again, ladies.
11:57And if I join you?
11:59Do we mind, Atra?
12:02None at all.
12:04Please do.
12:14Kyle.
12:15You know, I was thinking this morning would be a good time to approach De Ma about our game plan for our Cosmetics War publication.
12:25You know, get him on board with our strategy and the rollout.
12:29What do you think?
12:30Okay, can we please stop calling the guy De Ma?
12:33Now that we know his true identity, we can drop the pretentious pseudonym.
12:37Fine.
12:38Shall we get Carter to arrange a time for us with Mr. Ashby?
12:43No.
12:44Why not?
12:45Now that the true identity of the most mysterious man in the world has been revealed as Kane Ashby,
12:53we should scrap the whole plan.
12:55Why in the world would you think that?
12:57Claire, Claire, Claire, Claire, are you okay?
13:15Claire, look at me.
13:17Look at me.
13:18Stay blue.
13:19Look at me.
13:20Are you okay?
13:20Come on.
13:22Claire, slow down.
13:23Take slower, deeper breaths, okay?
13:25I can't.
13:26Yes, you can.
13:27Yes, you can.
13:28Just close your eyes.
13:29Close your eyes.
13:30No.
13:31Close your eyes.
13:31I can't.
13:32Close your eyes.
13:32I am right here with you, okay?
13:33I got you.
13:34Just close your eyes.
13:37Okay.
13:38Okay.
13:39Okay.
13:39Now close your lips, okay?
13:42Four seconds.
13:43Breathe in on my count, all right?
13:44One, two, three, four.
13:49That's it, okay?
13:50Now hold, now five seconds, breathe out.
13:54Five, four, three, slow down, slow down, slow down, okay?
14:01Now, again, on your own count, just stop, but take it, take it nice and slow.
14:06Take it nice and slow, but keep going, okay?
14:10There you go.
14:13Now, that's right.
14:15Slow and deep breaths.
14:17Keep bursting your lips.
14:17You got it.
14:18Okay.
14:20There you go.
14:31I knew you could do it.
14:34You okay?
14:43Better than I was.
14:46Better is good.
14:48I like that.
14:50I feel like I was having a heartache.
15:01I couldn't breathe.
15:04So, your first panic attack?
15:09That's what that was, yeah.
15:12How did you know what to do?
15:13How did you know how to speak those things?
15:18I've been there before, so I know the feeling.
15:22I suffered massive anxiety throughout my teen years.
15:27I had to teach myself how to control it.
15:29And as a captain of the football team, nothing is less cruel than having a panic attack for the big game.
15:37You were the captain of the football team, nothing is less cruel than having a panic attack for the big game.
15:45My whole team and school were depending on me.
15:48Talk about pressure, huh?
15:49I had to...
15:50I really know you.
15:51I didn't know you.
15:51I don't know you, but panic is the last thing I'd expect from you.
15:56I wanted to manage it, okay?
15:58I had to.
15:59but i'm i'm not the concern right now you are
16:05what happened
16:08you sure you don't want to talk about it no i'm talking about it is what
16:17made this happen so i think talking about it would just bring on another attack i think what
16:23i need to do is not not talk about it not think about it if that's possible well it's not just
16:32possible it's doable because lucky you i'm here to help
16:39if you really want to know there have been more than a few times when i wondered if i made the
16:48right call i know i know it was a hard decision to walk away from such a meaningful career
16:54and one that you were so good at
16:56recently i've become close friends with a woman who was diagnosed with leukemia
17:02i've gotten very involved in helping her find treatment options and following her case closely
17:10she's lucky i feel lucky to be able to help
17:15i'm still fascinated with the miracle of modern medicine
17:19there's something very satisfying about the healing process that does
17:24make me miss working in the field
17:26you know i heard through the grapevine that you found out that you have a brother
17:32half brother but uh yes
17:35and the woman i was referring to is his mother amy that's amazing nate it's wonderful that you've
17:44become so close
17:45i wouldn't go that far just yet it's still a work in progress with my brother damien
17:52you know finding out i have a brother i never knew about is a life-altering experience
18:00although i have grown to adore his mother
18:04oh so maybe you're thinking about getting back into medicine
18:10i'm happy working with my family at winters
18:13and my brother will be joining us there once he's back from nace
18:17well take it from me there are many benefits to being in business with a sibling
18:22you and nick do seem to see eye to eye on most things human enterprises
18:28you and adam
18:30well of course depending on the sibling there are certainly different challenges
18:35i'm looking forward to working with my brother
18:38and i think he's looking forward to it as well
18:42well then i'm happy for you
18:45tell me something nate
18:47i'll try
18:49in our time at newman i mean we we did some great things
18:56we were we were really good team
18:59we were
19:01till we weren't
19:03i have to wonder if there's still a little undercurrent of tension between us
19:10i mean am i wrong in thinking that maybe you're still harboring some resentment about the way things ended
19:17isn't it obvious our plan is far less promising now that we know who dumas really is the mystery
19:26is over
19:27the guy's still a billionaire that hasn't changed
19:31we could use the status to our advantage
19:34when his true identity comes out and reporters start digging into kane ashby's bio
19:39i just don't see it
19:42i mean having that guy choose which fragrance he wants to gift a woman in his life
19:46it hardly has the same impact
19:48why not a plenty of women would love to wear the fragrance preferred by a
19:53single
19:55handsome billionaire
19:56okay audra i'm not buying it and neither is jabot
19:58i mean the guy used to work for us there's no way his opinion won't appear
20:02tainted and biased and you need to go back to the drawing board
20:07i think you're making way too hasty of a decision i mean we're fighting a losing battle i'm hearing my
20:16family in the new months both agree that this trip is a total bust it takes a lot for them to agree on anything
20:22but it isn't over yet we don't know what this uh dumas sorry kane has planned for us
20:30whatever happens they're heading back to general city as soon as possible
20:34well didn't they read their itineraries it says this is all culminating in a very special evening and after everything that's taken place i for one don't want to miss it
20:45sally back me up you're you're staying right i don't know this whole experience has just felt like a weird game of smoke and mirrors
20:57i get what people are frustrated we've all been pulled away from work billy and i delayed the launch of avid communications
21:03and you had put everything on hold for vibrante to get this mystery man dumas a part of your publicity stunt for what
21:11to find out that half the guests already knew him i don't know it just seems like you put on this
21:17whole show so that they'd all be his friend whenever he showed up back at home exactly who does that
21:23well i don't think this trip is a total loss okay i think this king guy can still be an asset and i want
21:29to capitalize on that i don't know sooner we get out of here the better in my opinion i'm with audra
21:37mr grump
21:49i try not to hold on tanger from the past what good does it do but if you're specifically asking me if
21:57i've forgiven you for doubting my intentions with your father the answer's yes i let that go a long time
22:04ago i hoped that was the case you know i carry around a lot of regret about the way things fell
22:14apart between us it wasn't the outcome i hoped for either you and i we uh we have known each other a long
22:23time long before we even got together we were friends you know it just made me so sad that when
22:34things ended between us that i i lost that friendship too it makes me sad too
22:42but i think things worked out the way they were supposed to you found happiness with cole
22:52he's a good man and you deserve that yes he really is and i appreciate all of your support
23:00i just hope and pray that you know this nightmare will be over soon and cole will come out of this
23:07fully recovered stay strong victoria i'm worried about claire i mean i shouldn't have let her run
23:12off like that i i don't like her walking around with with all of this turmoil you know
23:19kyle's in these too right yes i mean the timing is very unfortunate he's totally unreachable
23:27at a time when she desperately needs to lean on him i mean he's her first love
23:33she needs him to be her rock what about another friend someone to just listen i wish she could
23:40really use someone like that right now so what were you doing up here at this hour anyway i was uh on
23:48my nightly run it's a habit of years ago it was a stress coping mechanism a few people out at this hour
23:55even in l.a the weather is generally cooler and crisp at this time of evening
24:05when you just happened to see me pure chance i saw you hurrying into the park heading to north
24:13look but it was it was obvious you're upset so i thought i'd come and check up on you
24:20i'm glad you did who knows what would have happened if you hadn't found me when you did i really
24:29felt like i was gonna pass out i'm glad i could help
24:32well thank you but you don't have to worry about me anymore i'm fine
24:43really you can go back to your own
24:44next time i see you vespers on me well if if you're buying then there's no better time than the
24:55present right now i'm game if you are you could probably use one right now and i don't have anywhere
25:05else to be so what do you say i say let's do it
25:18twist my arm can't pass up a free vesper
25:27billy i thought you would change your mind about staying
25:29i mean i gotta stay sally i gotta find out what kane's agenda is yeah look i don't blame you for
25:35being curious about what he's up to but can't we just do that from home you could read about it
25:40online or hear about it from jack as opposed to being here on his turf playing his games i think we
25:45should stay at least for kane's special evening he has planned yeah but for all we know it's just
25:52cocktails and dancing to live music well wasn't your main goal for being here to pitch a perfume if that's
25:58not happening why bother stay okay i may not be as familiar with this kane guy as many of you are
26:05but i refuse to give up on the possibility that he can be beneficial to my company look i know i don't
26:12know the whole history between you and kane from what you've told me it doesn't seem like you're
26:16particularly close look my relationship with kane is complicated right but as genoa city's reigning
26:25champ of second chances i gotta respect what he did to get back into good graces of everyone
26:31i mean this is a hell of a return is it not or it's just some smokescreen for some shady business deal
26:39look whether we decide to stay or go it could be a moot point because we might not have a choice
26:47what why i ran into carter on the way here and he told me that the storm last night wiped out
26:55the tracks and the road up to the chateau so until that's cleared we might not be going anywhere anytime
27:00soon
27:13oh it looks like we have our picket tables you decide and i'll grab the drinks wait wait
27:20it's supposed to be my treat you get the next round
27:34hey mom hey how are you um where are you are are you feeling any better
27:52much better than i was oh good good um
27:59i'm not trying to crowd you i i know you said you needed some space i just wanted to make sure
28:03that you're okay i'm fine i just needed to clear my head ah yes i know me too
28:14so um are you home now actually i ran into a friend who helped me calm down
28:21oh that's that's great um i think that's what we both needed just to um find someone to calm our nerves
28:30thankfully i was able to talk through some things with nate too i'm glad um
28:39well we're just grabbing a drink here and i'll be home soon
28:41all right i will see you there i love you i love you mom
28:46i'm guessing you haven't made time for eating or felt much like it you are right on both
29:01counts thank you were you able to reach claire yes i just talked to her um she's doing much better
29:07she ran into someone who helped calm her down really look at that sounds like exactly what you were
29:15hoping for yes exactly i'm just really i'm curious who came to her rescue here you go
29:26oh thanks just what the doctor ordered

30:13a toast to the healing powers of vespers and to my good fortune of running into you tonight
30:29i think i was a lucky one
30:37first no self-service and now we may have no escape
30:40i'm starting to feel like a hostage stuck here against my will and cut off from the rest of the
30:44world come on escape hostage look at this place we're in paradise let's make the best of the
30:51circumstances and take it all in like that amazing view and that pool over there it's calling my name
30:58is it calling sally's name too hmm last one and has to go get mimosas fine but we're getting the
31:07expensive champagne oh heck yeah we are
31:12i can't believe we're stuck here i mean just trapped for who knows how long
31:17hey it wouldn't be so bad if we at least had internet or cell phone service
31:22you know i have so much on my plate right now i can't just fall off the map like this i know and
31:26i need to get in touch with claire see how her dad's doing yeah i'm sure claire's worried about
31:31him but you know cole's a healthy guy i'm sure he's making a full recovery right now yeah i hope

32:07i admit it is the best of the market for now but you better not go to the press and tell him i said
32:15that because i will firmly flat out deny it of course you will and it's only the best until
32:20vibrante's son caroline hits the market so you say
32:24i'm starting to think you don't really live in la
32:38you're in genoa city so often i have to wonder oh it's funny you should bring that up
32:44my whole world's turned completely on its head the last few months
32:49i know it's it's nothing compared to what you're facing right now but i do have a few crucial things
32:57to work out myself sounds serious oh just uh where i'm gonna work and live details like that
33:07i lost my job in la so i need a new gig but
33:12where oh i'm sorry to hear that for the record i don't think what you're dealing with is really
33:21that much less stressful than what i'm going through it's just different that's all
33:27thanks it is stressful i feel like i'm just stuck you know trying to figure out what my next move is
33:38is that why you haven't gone back to la yet to look for work i'm not even sure i want to go back
33:43i like in the uh low-key vibe of genoa city versus the tinseltown glam of la
33:51so what is it that you think you want to do you want to stay in the real estate investment business or
33:59change careers altogether for now i think i'm sticking with real estate it's it's what i know and i am
34:06pretty successful at it and do you think you could be successful at it in genoa city maybe
34:14i did just make a connection with the company here oh which one well they're pretty new to the scene
34:21they're buying up uh key properties in town i'm just i'm really hoping it turns into something for me

36:30you don't really care much for audrey i'm sorry i don't trust her and i'm surprised that you do
36:37i'll just change a lot since she first came to town i think she's learned a few things the hard way
36:43getting out from under tucker's hold was good for her he was a terrible influence well for your
36:51sake i hope that you're right and the change that you see in audrey is real but you're right nate i
36:57have a really hard time believing it do you really think it's useless to take my idea to kane
37:10at once do ma's true identity is revealed mystique disappears oh i'm not sure about that now the
37:18mystery becomes why he did it kane's grand reveal is a very intriguing story that makes it all about kane
