1 in 6 people who avoid MOT advisories go on to suffer a car breakdown. If your car passes its MOT but has advisories, do you fix them straight away or risk it and drive on?
00:00It depends what those advisories are. If they're quite minor advisories, you know what, I'll probably just let them roll for a bit.
00:06Depends on how much does it need to be cost, but if you don't want your car to get break down, then maybe you could do it sooner.
00:14I tend to just kind of, I don't do it straight away, I'm a little bit, you know, procrastinate a little bit, but yeah, I do get it seen to, but not right away.
00:24People think that they're too over the top when it comes to the advisories, but I think that you should always read them and then you know your car best, right?
00:33So, you know, if you're in like, let's say a really new Mercedes, you don't really need to pay so much advice to them, but to the older model, let's say like a 2010 car that's been used for over 100,000 miles, you may want to pay more attention to them.
00:47If it's something minor, I'd probably let them go, but I'd also probably, whoever the MLT tester were, I'll probably say, what do you think, do I need to do them now?
00:56Can I leave them six months? Can I leave them 12 months? What do you reckon?
