Mumbai: In an exclusive chat with actress Aditi Shetty, where she discussed her role as Tasneem in Rana Naidu Season 2, praising the cast and crew for their camaraderie and support. She shared behind-the-scenes anecdotes, including pranks played by co-actors and directors, and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play a complex character. Aditi also talked about the show's emotional depth, action sequences, and her hopes for future projects.
00:04What was the first reason for the first reason that you have seen Rana Naidu?
00:11The reasons were so many.
00:13My director has made Mirzapur and Rana Naidu.
00:18I loved it as part one.
00:20I was a fan myself.
00:22So when I realized that this is part and the character was really interesting,
00:28the growth and the character graph was very big.
00:32The scenes were also very amazing.
00:34When I realized that Rana Sir's opposite is my full face-off scene,
00:38I had to do this.
00:43Your real personality and your character,
00:49how do you get and how different?
00:51Real personality is very different.
00:55The scenes are very fierce, very powerful,
00:59and dominating.
01:01If you want to make some work,
01:04then it can be removed.
01:05Aditi is more bubbly, more expressive,
01:11whereas the scenes are very stoic.
01:14We are different.
01:16Yes, if you can see,
01:19I can tell the similarity that we both are into fitness.
01:22That I can say is similar.
01:24Yes.
01:28It was so amazing.
01:41I had a lot of fun.
01:43As many of my co-actors,
01:45first of all, they are amazing actors.
01:48I got a lot of learning from them.
01:50It was a learning experience.
01:52And they were very helpful.
01:55All of them,
01:56like Venkates sir, Abhishek or Sushant Singh,
02:00all of them,
02:01they never felt like I am an outsider or newcomer.
02:07All of them worked together in season 1.
02:11So I was a new entry.
02:13But I gelled with everyone,
02:16and they felt comfortable
02:18and felt like a part of the team.
02:21So I am very grateful.
02:23And they were very patient and kind to me.
02:25by the time of the group,
02:26I was glad that people actually came out.
02:27How do you enjoy the sets?
02:28How did I enjoy the sets?
02:29How did I enjoy the sets?
02:30How did you enjoy the sets?
02:31How did you enjoy the sets?
02:32How did you enjoy the sets?
02:33How did you enjoy the sets?
02:35I think that in this set I had a lot of fun, I mean, the most fun I had in this set.
02:42Because, from one another, everyone was pranksters and jokes cracked.
02:48Our directors also had pranks on us.
02:52So, I was very nervous at the start, that I got the opportunity to work with such big people.
02:58I don't know how to, you know, even be there and how to perform.
03:02But, when I went on the first day, second day, third day, I realized that they were very chill.
03:07And, everyone was sitting together.
03:09We were having fun. We were having fun. We were eating food together.
03:12Our director is doing pranking us. We are doing pranking them.
03:15So, it was really fun.
03:17When you said that pranksters, did you say Rana Sir and Venkati Sir?
03:22No, Rana Sir and Venkati Sir didn't say that.
03:25But, my director is open, sir. He used to keep playing pranks.
03:29I mean, starting, there was a scene of me and Abhishek.
03:33So, I was doing the scene of him.
03:36And, after that, Sir came up with a puppet.
03:38I mean, Abhishek is standing behind him.
03:40Sir is doing his hand movements.
03:42And, he is doing his dialogue.
03:43And, I didn't understand.
03:44I kept continuing with my lines.
03:46Because, I was like, I don't know what's happening.
03:48Then, I got to know that it was a prank.
03:50And, everyone was laughing.
03:51One time, we pranked on Sushant Sir.
03:54When Supan Sir, we took one or two takes.
03:57And, Supan Sir said,
03:58Let's go and say something different.
04:00With dialogue, different.
04:01So, I went and said something like that, randomly.
04:04And, he is so smart that,
04:07He is so smart that, he said something different.
04:10And, he also said something different.
04:12So, it was fun.
04:14I think it will just get better, better, better.
04:26Because, I have worked with the actors.
04:28They were, like, really getting, you know, that energy.
04:33In every scene.
04:34So, when performing every time,
04:36a new element came.
04:38So, it was fun.
04:40If you were talking about your character,
04:42I would say that,
04:43If you were talking about a character,
04:44one more power in the story.
04:45Hmm.
04:46So, what happened?
04:47If you were talking about one more power,
04:48If you were talking about one more power.
04:49Hmm.
04:50Hmm.
04:51Hmm.
04:52Hmm.
04:53Maybe, if you were talking about Roth,
04:54maybe, if you were talking about Roth,
04:55maybe, something like that.
04:57Maybe, in season 3.
04:59Maybe, in season 3.
05:01Who is Roth, who is Roth?
05:03Arjun Rampal.
05:05Yes.
05:06So, his character is also very strong.
05:08If a woman and Roth are faced off,
05:11he'll be fun.
05:12Like, I would like to do something like that.
05:15Hmm.
05:16Set for,
05:17some actor's attitude was filmy?
05:20Filmy?
05:22Not really filmy.
05:23Everyone was very,
05:24very chill.
05:25We had a lot of fun.
05:28They were all friends like that.
05:31Hmm.
05:32Honestly, tell me,
05:33Ryan Idol is like a film.
05:34In real life,
05:35In the real life,
05:36In Camry,
05:37So, if it's a real life, then how does it tolerate in real life?
05:43I think that the character of Tassneem was very sweet.
05:52I mean, the action and drama, and all that,
05:56Tassneem and Jafa's story line was very romantic and cute.
06:02It's very authentic and real, which you don't get in today's time.
06:07The type of love and chemistry doesn't get in this type.
06:10So, if I get in real life, I would be really happy.
06:13It was very sweet, you know, how the pairing was,
06:16and how they fell in love, and how they were there for each other.
06:20I think that was very nice.
06:22In the show, in the show, there is a lot of bold scenes.
06:25So, what is the importance of acting?
06:28What is the importance of bold scenes?
06:31Actually, in our season 2, there are not many bold scenes.
06:34There are very few bold scenes.
06:36And all the scenes, they are all very aesthetically shooted.
06:40They are all very important for the role,
06:42and for the character, and for the story to move ahead.
06:45So, it was all a part of the journey.
06:48All the scenes were important.
06:52And we had fun doing everything.
06:55You should know that in season 2, there is a lot of different scenes.
06:58And that means that we are looking for bold and a lot of scenes.
07:02So, what do you think about it?
07:04In season 2, there is a lot of action.
07:06And compared to season 1, boldness has been reduced in season 2.
07:10And you will see a lot of emotional graphs.
07:13The characters that you liked in season 1,
07:16have explored more and more.
07:21And you will connect to it even more.
07:23Do you think that this scene is a little over the top?
07:26Which scene?
07:28Any scene?
07:29No, not at all.
07:30I think, I don't like that at any time.
07:34People say that the show is just violence and sexy.
07:39So, do you agree with that?
07:41Or do you agree with that?
07:42Like I said, there are a lot of emotional graphs.
07:45There are a lot of characters.
07:47There are other layers.
07:49So, it's not just violence.
07:52I'll call it action.
07:53And I think everyone enjoys watching action.
07:55So,
07:56I think you get what you deserve.
07:58When you have the right time and you have the right work experience,
07:59you will get the right role.
08:00Like for me, I am a newcomer.
08:01It's my Netflix debut.
08:02It's my OTT debut.
08:03So, what I have got, I am very happy with.
08:04And I think, I will get better roles.
08:05And I will get better roles and powerful roles.
08:06So, I am just hoping for that.
08:07So, I am just hoping for that.
08:08About the industry.
08:09About the industry.
08:10About the company.
08:11So, you have the right role.
08:12You have the right role.
08:13So, you have the right role.
08:14I think you get what you deserve.
08:15I think you get what you deserve.
08:16When you have the right time and when you have the right work experience, you will get the
08:20role of that caliber.
08:22Like for me, I am a newcomer.
08:24It's my Netflix debut.
08:25It's my OTT debut.
08:26So, what I have got, I am very happy with.
08:27And I think, I will get better roles and powerful roles.
08:33So, I am just hoping for that.
08:36About the industry.
08:37I think it's not about the industry.
08:42It's about the casting couch.
08:47It's about the people.
08:57It can be in an office also.
09:01It can be in the industry also.
09:03It's about how you deal with people and how you can manage them.
09:09I have worked with all the best people, be it TV, be it OTT.
09:13And I am very grateful, I have been safe.
09:16I have been in the right hands.
09:18But obviously, when I was very new to it, I have met people who are not even a part of
09:25the industry and said that they are from the industry.
09:27So, they were not the right people.
09:29They were not from the industry.
09:31So, you will also learn from that and then you will do your research and then meet people.
09:36So, it's a journey.
09:38Right.
09:39So, I think if you are a good actor, there are opportunities.
09:41And if you are a good actor, there are opportunities.
09:43And if you are a good actor, there are opportunities.
09:46And if you are a good actor, you will get better work.
09:48And if you do a good actor, you will get good work.
09:50And if you do a good actor, you will get better work.
09:52I think if you are a good actor, opportunities are and if you do a good job, you will get a good job and when it comes to social media, for me, social media, I use it as my entertainment, when I come to social media, I come to social media, when I don't come to social media, I take a break and it's totally under my control,
10:21how I want to take it, like I am active on social media, but from the last few months, I was completely not anywhere on my social media, so it depends from time to time and I think if social media or influencers are getting acting work, that does not mean that actors will not get that, their acting work, if you are good at it, you will get it anywhere.
10:42I am just hoping that you get a good job, I am now just meeting more people and auditioning for interesting parts and I am just hoping that you get a good job, you get a powerful job and you get a good job with people.
11:02and for all the viewers watching Rana Naidoo, thank you so much, I am so happy that you liked Tasneem's role and our show and just keep giving all your love to me and if you haven't seen Rana Naidoo too, please go and see.
