00:00Cassius was not just part of my life, he was my future, my family and my home.
00:05The day he was taken from us is the day my world shattered. He was murdered.
00:13That truth is something I live with every single day. It's not just the absence of his presence,
00:19it's the silence where his laughter used to be, the emptiness in moments we were supposed to share
00:27and the unbearable way of knowing he didn't get to live the life that he deserved.
00:33The pain is constant and the grief is immeasurable.
00:38When Cassius was assaulted I asked him why he was going to look at a fight
00:47and because it's not Cassius to rock up at a fight and he said I was hoping to either talk them out of it
00:53or get them to have a fair fight. So I think that's a testament to Cassius and his mentorship and leadership.
01:04Well we don't hear that laugh no more. That laugh was so loud he just, the moment he walked into a room,
01:11you know, the room changed and even when there was sadness going on, Cassius had the knack of just
01:18you know, making us laugh or just getting us to look in a different direction.
01:27You could talk all day about Cassius and his values as a young man.
01:31He's definitely an old soul.
