00:00Hi, I'm Kat, and today I'll be giving you a closer look at Achilles Survivor, a roguelite inspired by ancient Greek myths.
00:22Together, we'll explore the game's mechanics, defeat legendary foes, and, with a bit of luck, make it out alive.
00:28You begin as a lone hero in a hostile world of ancient Greece.
00:33Your goal? Simple. Survive.
00:35Hades minions will stop at nothing. If they touch you, they deal damage.
00:40Fortunately, you can do damage in return. Survivors use their powers automatically on cooldown to strike back at their enemies.
00:47And with every enemy you defeat, you earn experience.
00:50It seems we've leveled up. Now we can improve our main power or pick general bonuses.
00:55The higher your luck, the better your chances of seeing rare upgrades appear.
01:00Combat is only half the story. You'll gather gold to reroll upgrades, and stone to construct powerful structures.
01:08Let's build your first mine.
01:13Now, we have enough stone for the flame turret. Use empty slots on the map to place your first building.
01:22That was satisfying. We leveled up again. Higher levels unlock new power slots, and once you build a forge, you can evolve these powers into deadlier forms with stat boosts or brand new effects.
01:36Each survivor begins with a unique signature power. Let's mix it up.
01:40Before the run, you have multiple options to choose. Locations, game modes, and heroes.
01:47See anyone familiar? Achilles is not alone. Multiple legendary heroes decided to join his cause.
01:53Along the course of the game, you can unlock different survivors and use them to defeat your enemies.
01:59How about Prometheus? During your gameplay, you will encounter multiple events that will help you, like opening chests.
02:09Others are pure risk. Closing rifts and basements will yield valuable rewards. Just don't stand in the middle.
02:20As the waves intensify, tougher enemies will appear, including mini-bosses.
02:27Oof, that didn't go well. Fortunately, even in defeat, not all is lost.
02:33At the end of every run, you'll see your final stats. Damage dealt, time survived, and most importantly, the resources you've gained, obols and adamant.
02:42These go through long-term progression through the favor system. It's a series of upgrades that boost your core stats and unlocks new perks.
02:50Each class comes with its own specialization path. And in the achievements menu, you'll find unlockable buildings, characters, and powers, all tied to in-game goals.
03:01As you reach the late game, you become more powerful, but so do enemies on more advanced maps.
03:08Fortunately, there are multiple ways to shift the scales to your advantage. Every survivor has a unique talent that complements their playstyle.
03:17You'll unlock new structure types. Some deal direct damage, some poison or burn enemies over time, and others help you survive just a little bit longer.
03:30A good tip? Try focusing on upgrading one core power first. Then upgrade your other abilities.
03:40At higher levels, your powers can transform. Take Phalanx, for example. His venomous spikes stay on the battlefield longer and stretch farther, turning tight corridors into deadly traps.
03:53By now, we've built our defenses, upgraded our powers, and learned how to survive. It's time to put it all to the test. Can we defeat Agamemnon together?
04:05Can we defeat Agamemnon together?
04:07Can we defeat Agamemnon together?
04:33Hey, thanks so much for watching. We hope you're as excited as we are for the launch of Achilles Survivor. And if you'd like, you can wishlist the game now on Steam to stay updated.
