00:04When you look at the rosters of teams that won in the playoffs,

00:09they've got a lot of guys that are built the same way that Noah Essenge is built.

00:15The question is, do we hear two-way a lot with this?

00:18Two-way, two-way, two-way.

00:19How many other, though, one of the Bulls' biggest problems, if not biggest problem is,

00:24they've got a lot of one-way guys.

00:26You can't have four one-way guys and one two-way guy

00:30and think that anything's going to happen on the other way,

00:33which is the defensive way, right?

00:34So, listen, I think the ceiling's outrageous.

00:39If he's Scottie Pippen, Siakam, okay, great.

00:45But it's a long way to go.

00:47He's 18.

00:48The first word that came to mind when I saw the pick made, honestly, was underwhelming.

00:56And I don't know that that's a fair reaction because there are reasons to believe that he's going to be a very good NBA player.

01:07You look at his background and you see how he projects and why he fits and all the patient approach.

01:15It's defensible.

01:17It's a defensible pick.

01:18It just seemed underwhelming for me personally because I think there were other players on the board that you preferred.

01:26There were other players that maybe you knew more about.

01:29And this is very much a curiosity.

01:31Noah Essengate is not somebody that the city of Chicago, most basketball fans, know a ton about.

01:38Now, we're not all Stacey King and we didn't all call the shot and understand what they're getting necessarily.

01:44This is a very patient pick because it's a front office that feels very secure in what they're doing.

01:50And you can like that or not and you can resist that or not, but it's the truth.

01:54And this confirms that.

01:56They're not in any rush to get to the top four of the Eastern Conference, apparently, because this is going to take some time.

02:03And I think if we pulled the tape a year ago, the morning after the drafts, they picked Montes Pazellas.

02:09We said some very similar things.

02:11So maybe this will be another example of that.
