00:04Well, it's not random, it's part of salmon farming.
00:06First, they gently open the female to collect her eggs.
00:09Then comes the milk, that's the male's contribution.
00:12Mix them together, and we get fertilized salmon eggs.
00:15From there, the eggs go into special incubation tanks with just the right temperature and oxygen,
00:19designed to feel like home.
00:21Some of these salmon will end up as food,
00:23while others get released into rivers to help boost wild populations.
