00:12In fact, last year, an estimated $33 billion flowed into the hands of criminals thanks to Robotex scams.
00:20According to Money Talks News, the top scams were delivery scams, bank scams, travel scams, and Apple and hardware scams.
00:28Robo-calls became less prevalent last year with Americans receiving an estimated 59 billion Robo-calls.
00:35Still, these calls led to Americans losing another $69 billion.
00:40When it comes to phone calls, experts say you should watch out for health insurance scams, debt collector scams, and pharmacy scams.
00:47According to Robo-Killer, quote,
00:49Scammers know that the most effective way to reach consumers is through SMS.
00:53Considering 86% of the population owns a smartphone and 95% of messages on those smartphones are read.
