00:13Muhammad Norazlan, who previously served as Deputy RMAF Chief, officially assumed the position during a handover of duty ceremony held at the Subang Air Base on Thursday, witnessed by Malaysian Armed Forces Chief, General Tan Sri Muhammad Nizam Jafar.
00:30The event also marked Muhammad Norazlan's promotion from Lieutenant General to General alongside a farewell parade for the outgoing 20th Air Force Chief.
00:39Fifty-eight-year-old Muhammad Norazlan began his military journey at the Royal Military College in Sungai Besi from 1985 to 1987 before starting flight training with the RMAF in Alor Star in 1988.
00:56Over the years, he has held several key positions within the RMAF, including Air Support Commander, Air Operations Commander, and most recently, Deputy Chief of Air Force since June 2022.
01:10Meanwhile, Muhammad Asghar Khan served in the RMAF for more than 42 years and had led the force since March 2022, succeeding General Tan Sri Aqbal Abdul Samad upon his mandatory retirement.
