00:00For a century, St. Dominic's Academy has stood as a bastion of privilege and power.
00:05Its halls echo with the footsteps of legacy students, children of CEOs, presidents, dictators,
00:10even notorious crime lords. These parents send their offspring to St. Dominic's with a singular,
00:16chilling expectation. They will emerge hardened, ready to follow in their footsteps,
00:21and become the most ruthless members of the elite. But what sets this school apart isn't
00:25its rigorous academics. It's the pervasive, all-consuming culture of high-stakes gambling.
00:31Students wager their monthly allowances, vast sums provided by their wealthy families,
00:35in a constant struggle for dominance. The top 10 gamblers ascend to the prestigious student council,
00:41marked by their distinctive black jackets, a symbol of power and fear. Among them are figures
00:46like the eccentric, one-eyed Dory, who lost her eye in a gamble, the aggressive and cruel Mary,
00:52the influential Suki, a harbinger of doom, and the destructive Riri, the student council treasurer.
00:58Presiding over them all is the chillingly composed Kira, Riri's older sister and the student council
01:03president. Known for her ruthlessness and icy demeanor, those who lose and fall into debt
01:08become housepets, forced to serve their creditors until they can repay their debts, enduring humiliation
01:15and servitude. Teachers at St. Dominic's are mere figureheads, powerless against the student council's
01:20influence. Above the teachers is the board of directors, headed by Akari, Kira's father,
01:25further solidifying the family's iron grip on the school. All of this is explained to the newly
01:30transferred student, Yumeko, by Ryan, a current student. Instead of being intimidated, Yumeko is
01:36visibly thrilled by the school's cutthroat environment. Before Yumeko's arrival, Ryan had
01:41challenged Mary to a gamble. Despite holding a winning hand, Mary cheated, claiming victory and
01:46turning Ryan into her house pet. Yumeko's assigned roommate is Blake. She used to room with Amanda,
01:52a flamboyant and delusional student, who challenged Kira and, predictably, vanished. Yumeko casually
01:58proposes switching to the bed by the window. When Blake refuses, Yumeko confidently places a $10,000 bet
02:04that by the end of the day, she'll change his mind. During lunch, Yumeko heads straight for the
02:10student council's domain. A bold move for a newcomer. Mary, sensing an opportunity to assert her dominance,
02:16immediately proposes a gamble. Their interaction is interrupted by the arrival of Kira.
02:21Unfazed, Yumeko presents the student council president with a small gift. A gesture laden
02:26with unspoken challenge. As the two size each other up, another student, Michael, arrives to summon
02:31Yumeko away. Michael warns Yumeko about the true nature of the student council, particularly Kira.
02:37He describes the countless teachers and students who have disappeared under her rule.
02:41He paints a grim picture of new students being chewed up and spat out by the council's machinations.
02:46He advises Yumeko to avoid gambling altogether, to ignore the rankings, and to wait out her time at
02:52the school simply. He, himself, has chosen this path, avoiding any involvement with gambling in
02:57hopes of preserving his freedom. He insists she won't last, describing the student council as a
03:02nest of vipers, cheaters without honor or heart. He warns that if they get their hooks into her,
03:07she'll be ruined. Yumeko listens intently, feigning understanding, but later seeks out Mary and
03:13accepts her challenge. Yumeko's true motivation for attending St. Dominic's remains hidden.
03:18She has another agenda entirely, one that requires her to infiltrate the student council.
03:23Gazing at a photo of her parents, Yumeko reminisces about happier times, specifically the joy she found
03:28in gambling with her mother. This glimpse into her past hints at a deeper, more personal drive,
03:33fueling her ambition within the corrupt walls of St. Dominic's.
03:37Mary and Yumeko agree to a card game. Each player receives seven cards. And each round,
03:43they play one card. The high card wins. Michael warns Mary about Yumeko, noting her reputation for
03:49cheating, but Mary shrugs it off, pointing out that since she let Yumeko set the stakes, as long as the
03:54bets aren't too high, she'll be fine. The first round begins, and Yumeko bets $20 and wins. In the second
04:01round, she ups the ante to $100 and wins again. The third round sees a $200 bet, and this time,
04:08Mary wins after Yumeko hesitates momentarily. Yumeko glances at Blake at a nearby table,
04:13then back at Mary, and finally plays her card. She then uses her chips, and a quick look behind
04:19her reveals Ryan subtly signaling to Mary. For the fourth round, Yumeko raises the stakes dramatically,
04:25betting $10,000, causing a stir among the onlookers. Both players draw aces, resulting in a tie.
04:30Undeterred, Yumeko maintains the $10,000 bet for the fifth round. She adds a twist,
04:36if she wins, half of her winnings will go to Ryan. The tension escalates further,
04:40when Yumeko declares she'll leave the outcome to chance. Meaning she'll choose a random card to
04:45play against Mary. With the stakes now incredibly high, Yumeko bets $100,000 in the final three cards.
04:52Astonishingly, she wins all three rounds, leaving Mary utterly defeated. The game concludes with a
04:57dramatic shift in the rankings. Yumeko rockets from 75th place to 20th one, while Mary plummets from
05:039th to 76th, becoming Ryan's house pet. Ironically, since Yumeko doesn't need a house pet, Ryan initially
05:10ranked 78th, jumps to 27th, freeing himself from servitude. Upon returning to her dorm room,
05:16Yumeko finds the bed by the window now hers, along with the $10,000 bet, and a note from Blake on the
05:22table. Confused and troubled by his earlier actions, Ryan seeks out Yumeko. Yumeko calmly
05:28points out that, as Mary's house pet, helping her cheat was expected. She reiterates that she came
05:33to the school to gamble, and helping Ryan was merely a convenient side effect. Yumeko closes her eyes,
05:39flashing back to a fateful day, her parents waving goodbye as they get into a car. Moments later,
05:45the car explodes. It's not about the money, Yumeko's true purpose at St. Dominic's is revenge.
05:50Having ousted Mary from the student council, Yumeko continues her conquest of the gambling scene.
05:56Not just winning consistently, but also exposing her opponent's tricks. Even marking cards with
06:01blood is a tactic she employs effectively. This new player, a shark in the water, quickly swims
06:06among the strongest, catching the attention of Kira. St. Dominic's is divided into four houses,
06:11spades, hearts, clubs, and diamonds. In descending order of power, spades, representing the most
06:17influential students like the student council, reigns supreme. Kira offers Yumeko a position
06:22within the spades' house, a seemingly generous offer, which Yumeko shockingly refuses in front
06:27of a crowd. In response to this perceived slight, Kira dispatches Suki to deal with Yumeko, aiming to
06:33deflate her ego and remind her who truly controls the game. During lunch, Suki challenges Yumeko to a
06:39game called Icebreaker. After a brief hesitation, Yumeko accepts. Ryan, observing the exchange,
06:46becomes deeply worried. Suki holds the fifth position in the school rankings, and his game
06:51isn't merely about money. Icebreaker, as he knows, exposes the opponent's deepest secrets,
06:56leaving them socially ruined within St. Dominic's. Yumeko confidently claims she has no secrets,
07:02but who truly has none. More importantly, Suki has never lost this game. The memory remained vivid
07:07in Yumeko's mind, her parents arguing with a man named Jay before their death. Jay had accused them
07:12of making a grave mistake and vowed to return. Driven by this cryptic warning, Yumeko heads to the
07:18school archives, searching yearbooks for any mention of a Jay connected to her parents. She discovers a
07:23potential lead, a Jay who shares a last name with Suki. Coincidentally, Michael is also in the archives.
07:30Yumeko notices Michael wearing a spades' house pin. He reveals he's a legacy student, following in his
07:35father's footsteps. He advises Yumeko to delete her old social media posts, lest Suki unearth something
07:41damaging. Unsure whether to trust Michael's seemingly well-intentioned advice, Yumeko uses
07:46her Keikagurui chip, a gambler's token inherited from her mother, to decide. The chip lands favorably,
07:52and Yumeko enlists Michael's help in protecting a secret. The traumatic memory of her parents' death
07:57in a car accident, when she was six years old. Returning to her room, Yumeko discovers that Blake
08:02allowed Suki inside. With few possessions, the only item of significance on her desk is a photo of
08:08her parents. Yumeko realizes Suki has already begun investigating her family. The objective of Icebreaker
08:13is to maintain a low heart rate, while the opponent probes into your personal life. When Yumeko arrives,
08:19Suki has just defeated another student, climbing to fourth place in the rankings, by exploiting the
08:24fact that the opponent's mother sells foot pictures online. As Yumeko's turn begins, Ryan wishes her luck,
08:30while Mary offers a less supportive sneer. Before the game commences, Yumeko is fitted with a heart
08:35rate monitor. The players will take turns drawing cards, each providing a prompt for a 30-second
08:40interrogation. The first player whose heart rate exceeds 85 loses. Due to her naturally lower resting
08:46heart rate, Suki draws the first card. The first card reveals the prompt, Humiliation. Suki accuses
08:53Yumeko of burning down a school. Yumeko calmly denies the accusation, stating there's no proof,
08:58but adding that if she had done it, they deserved it. The next card. Pride. Yumeko seizes the
09:05opportunity to inquire about Suki's J. It turns out to be his uncle, who died before Suki was born.
09:11Yumeko instinctively reaches for her kekurui chip, and discovers it's missing. She remembers
09:15Mary bumping into her earlier. Suki reveals she has the chip, and proposes a wager. If he wins,
09:21he gets one of Yumeko's fingernails for his rather disturbing collection.
09:24The sheer audacity of the bet. The heightened risk excites Yumeko, causing her heart rate to spike.
09:31Suki draws the next card. Family. Predictably, she questions Yumeko about her parents. While Yumeko
09:37maintains a composed facade, answering Suki's probing questions. Her rising heart rate betrays her inner
09:43turmoil. Just as it reaches 85, Michael arrives. His presence has a calming effect on Yumeko, and her
09:49heart rate stabilizes. Yumeko proposes a side bet. $5,000 stat by the end of the game. Suki will lose
09:56all his social media followers. The other students, intrigued, eagerly place their own bets. Mary,
10:02desperate to recoup her losses, tries to borrow money from Runa, but is refused. Yumeko draws her card.
10:08Secrets. She asks Suki a pointed question. Which one is the real you? Suddenly, a video appears on a
10:14nearby screen. It reveals Suki's past as Alpha. A content creator, who slaughtered animals for likes.
10:21The video shows her wielding a knife over her freshly killed prey, causing an uproar among the
10:26onlookers. Suki's heart rate hits 85 dips momentarily, then surges past the threshold.
10:32As Yumeko declares victory, Suki's fingernails inexplicably pop off. Ryan retrieves the kekabrui chip,
10:38and returns it to Yumeko, who thanks him sweetly, and rewards him with a kiss on the cheek.
10:43Since Yumeko needs to choose a house, and seeing that Ryan is in hearts, she decides to join him.
10:48She asks Mary if she plans to run for the student council again. Mary scoffs, saying her chances of
10:54winning the lottery are higher than returning to the council. Yumeko smirks and replies that if Mary
10:59runs, she'll bet on her. As Yumeko chats with Michael, a chilling announcement echoes through the
11:04school. Suki is dead. The entire student body gathers for Suki's funeral. It's a somber reminder of
11:10the stakes at St. Dominic's. Mary, ostracized but still unable to gamble directly, considers side
11:16bets but hesitates to cross Kira. Since Yumeko's side bet, Michael has become the school's unofficial
11:21bookie, constantly bombarded with wager requests. Students bet on everything, including the cause of
11:27Suki's death, with theories ranging from the absurd to the more plausible. The most popular being that
11:32Kira had him killed. Mary, while talking to others, keeps glancing at Riri with a complex expression.
11:39Observing the students engrossed in the side, betting craze sparked by Yumeko, Kira fumes.
11:44She can't control what she can't see. It's time to remind everyone why the student council reigns
11:48supreme. Yumeko must be taken down today. But how can she be defeated if she spends all day in the
11:54library with Michael, avoiding gambling? Kira's lips curl into a cold smile. When Yumeko arrives at the
12:00library, she discovers that most of the books, including the yearbooks, have vanished. At the
12:05same time, Mary approaches Riri, pleading for help in regaining her student council position.
12:10She argues that losing just one game shouldn't warrant such a drastic fall from grace. Riri's
12:15dismissive attitude prompts Mary to give up on seeking assistance, vowing to climb back to the
12:20top on her own. Michael explains that the student council raided the library and confiscated the books.
12:25He was powerless to stop them. He reveals that the yearbooks Yumeko needs are now
12:30in Dori's possession. Yumeko proposes a gamble to get the books returned to the library.
12:35But Dori dismisses traditional gambling as boring, craving something more, visceral.
12:40Dori presents a deck of cards, each featuring a different challenge, knife fighting, skydiving,
12:45eating chili peppers, and other bizarre activities. Yumeko draws a card, and her expression sours.
12:51The challenge, a dance-off, specifically playing Dance Dance Revolution. Dancing is not Yumeko's
12:57forte. She struggles, nearly losing her breath, and even taking a tumble. But this is merely the
13:03warm-up. The real competition involves wagering money based on the score difference. Seeing the
13:08potential losses, 10,000 points translating to $10,000, Yumeko gulps. The game begins, and despite
13:15her mental preparation, Yumeko performs poorly. Dori wins with a score of 40,000 plus a 20,000 point bonus,
13:22bringing her total to 60,000. Yumeko's ranking plummets from the top 10 to 73-ard. Losing such a
13:29large sum for the first time leaves her momentarily stunned. Burning with determination, Yumeko resolves
13:35to defeat Dori in a rematch. To do so, she decides to improve her dancing skills. Luckily, Ryan offers
13:40his assistance. His parents enrolled him in dance classes as a child, so he's more than capable of
13:46teaching her the basics. Though whether she can actually learn is another story. Despite his initial
13:51skepticism, Ryan admits Yumeko is a surprisingly quick learner, even going so far as to hope she
13:56never dances again. Yumeko clarifies that she doesn't mind losing at gambling. Her concern lies
14:01with the fairness of the game. Ryan worries that she's chosen a battle she can't win, pointing out
14:06that Dori has memorized every song in the Dance Dance Revolution library. This realization dawns on
14:11Yumeko as well. Dori must have known the game beforehand. In the library, Michael is busy coding his side
14:17betting app when Dori appears. Attempting to lure him into a game, Michael steadfastly refuses,
14:23and a frustrated Dori leaves after creepily smearing some of her saliva on his face. Meanwhile,
14:28Mary seeks out Runa for a loan, threatening her. A slang term for exposing someone, if she refuses.
14:34At that moment, Kira arrives. After a brief warning to Runa, Kira turns to Mary, threatening her to either
14:40behave like a proper house pet, or face the consequences. Hinting at arranging a funeral for her,
14:45after Kira and Runa leave, Yumeko approaches Mary with a proposition. If they can't join the
14:51student council, they should work together to dismantle it. Yumeko and Mary then confront Dori
14:56for a rematch. Anticipating Dori's refusal, Mary exposes her trickery, pointing out that Dori's
15:02silence during the card shuffle confirms their suspicions. Yumeko seizes the opportunity and
15:07proposes a new gamble, $60,000 in the return of library books. Mary shuffles the challenge cards,
15:13and Yumeko draws. Duel. Each player chooses a weapon, meets in the common room, and engages in
15:19combat. The first to draw blood loses. Michael is immediately swamped with side bets. Mary steps
15:25in to help, offering to record the bets while he focuses on coding his app. Mary also places a $1,000
15:30bet on Yumeko, seeing it as a chance to regain some of her lost capital. Armed with two katanas,
15:36Dori enters the common room, determined to take Yumeko's head. Anticipating Dori's choice of weapon,
15:41Yumeko has selected a necktie. The duel begins. Dori lunges, but Yumeko sidesteps,
15:47forcing Dori's katanas to slice through the air. A few strands of Yumeko's hair are severed. But as
15:53Dori attacks again, Yumeko uses her necktie to disarm her, and delivers a swift punch to Dori's face.
15:59Ryan cries out as blood spurts from Dori's nose. Yumeko wins. The $60,000 victory propels her to 17th
16:06place in the rankings. And the side bets cause a ripple effect, shifting other students' positions
16:11as well. But Michael hasn't finished his app yet. Suddenly, an announcement blares through the
16:16school's PA system. In response to popular demand, the student council has integrated side betting into
16:21the official ranking system. Looking at the smug expressions of Kira and Dori, Michael realizes
16:27they stole his code. Likely during Dori's unsettling encounter in the library. Inside her dorm room,
16:32Yumeko stumbles upon a photograph of her parents, with a friend named Raymond Rowe. The man in the
16:37photo has a distinctive large birthmark on his hand. At that moment, Blake introduces her stepfather
16:42to Yumeko. He has the same birthmark. His name? Raymond Rowe. Yumeko has found the man she believes
16:49killed her parents. Overwhelmed by rage, her only thought is to kill him on the spot. Lost in her
16:54thoughts, Yumeko barely registers Blake's attempts to get her attention. When she finally snaps back to
16:59reality, she confirms with Blake that her stepfather's name is indeed Raymond. Not just a coincidence.
17:05They chat briefly, and Blake leads her stepfather off for a tour of the school. Yumeko remains in a
17:10daze, oblivious to Ryan's attempts to engage her in conversation. Overhearing Ryan mention that Raymond
17:15is attending the school's upcoming recital, to see his stepdaughter perform. An idea sparks in Yumeko's
17:21mind. She abruptly excuses herself. As Ryan prepares to leave, he notices a shocking side bet on the
17:27ranking board. Someone has wagered that he will lose his virginity tonight. Kira, upon learning of
17:32the bet, orders Riri to investigate. She suspects a brewing rebellion and vows to quash it. Noticing a
17:38gift box her father sent for Riri, Kira turns away in disgust. After Kira leaves, Riri opens the gift.
17:44The contents cause a noticeable shift in her expression. Yumeko spends the day in the library
17:49building a bomb. Unsure if she made a mistake, the timer suddenly starts counting down. Panicked,
17:54she tries to flee just as Michael enters. Without thinking, Yumeko tackles him to the ground.
18:00Miraculously, the bomb doesn't detonate. Since the emergence of the virginity bet on Ryan,
18:04he's been bombarded with propositions from students eager to cash in. Suddenly thrust into the unwanted
18:09spotlight, Ryan is terrified by the bizarre attention. Mary, however, sees a money-making
18:14opportunity. Michael wants to help Yumeko, but he needs to know what she's up to. Since he helped her
18:20with the Suki situation, Yumeko trusts him enough to reveal the truth about her parents.
18:24She explains they were members of a close-knit club, yet she can find no trace of its existence.
18:29Yumeko recounts the threat from their friend Jay and the subsequent fiery car crash. She reveals her
18:35plan to plant a time bomb under Raymond's seat at the recital. Michael argues that a time bomb is
18:39too risky. She needs a remote detonator. The realization that he's aiding a potential murderer
18:44prompts Michael to back out, refusing to help further and quickly leaving the library. Meanwhile,
18:50Mary approaches Runa again, successfully persuading her to grant the loan, albeit with a slightly higher
18:55interest rate than usual. Michael tries desperately to dissuade Yumeko, arguing that he doesn't want
19:01her to become a killer like the man she wants to kill. However, seeing her unwavering resolve,
19:06he reluctantly agrees to help. While in the restroom, Yumeko overhears Blake crying.
19:10Overwhelmed by pressure and fear of disappointing her stepfather, Blake considers asking Raymond to
19:16leave. Yumeko bursts in, realizing that if Raymond leaves, she won't be able to carry out her plan.
19:21She frantically convinces Blake to stay, showering her with encouragement. A grateful Blake thanks
19:27Yumeko for her support and returns to rehearsal. After placing the bet on Ryan's virginity,
19:32Mary approaches him with a proposition. She asks him to help her win the bet by pretending they slept
19:36together. She suggests ways to make it look convincing, arguing that it's a harmless lie.
19:41However, Ryan expresses concern about Yumeko's reaction. Mary immediately realizes Ryan has feelings
19:47for Yumeko, and devises a new plan. Meanwhile, Yumeko has planted the bomb under Raymond's seat,
19:52ensuring the blast radius won't harm anyone else. Michael, having helped her as much as he's willing,
19:57expresses his hope that she knows what she's doing. He leaves her to her own devices.
20:01Mary then seeks out Yumeko. After explaining Ryan's predicament, she asks Yumeko to sleep with him
20:07to save him from the unwanted attention. Mary expects refusal. But to her surprise, after a
20:13moment of hesitation, Yumeko agrees. As Yumeko leaves, Kira arrives. She offers Mary a chance to
20:19rejoin the student council on one condition. Mary must exploit Yumeko's trust and report all her
20:24activities to Kira. Mary simply smirks and doesn't respond. Yumeko goes to Ryan's room, urging him to
20:30hurry up as she doesn't have much time. Ryan, aware of the bet, tells her she doesn't need to do this.
20:36Although he desires her, he refuses to sell his virginity for a gamble. Since she needs to be
20:40within range of the remote detonator, Yumeko hides backstage. When she sees Chad sitting in
20:45Raymond's designated seat, she quickly creates a diversion to ensure Raymond takes his proper place.
20:51Meanwhile, Riri has identified the mastermind behind the Ryan virginity bet, Kira herself.
20:56Kira explains she orchestrated the bet to stir things up within the student council.
21:01She then tasks Riri with investigating Yumeko's group, sensing a deeper conspiracy at play.
21:06Backstage, after a moment of hesitation, Yumeko presses the detonator. She believes her life was
21:11already ruined the moment her parents were killed. But the expected explosion doesn't happen.
21:16She watches Raymond leave unharmed, realizing Michael must have tampered with the detonator.
21:20Convinced Raymond must die, she vows he won't live to see tomorrow.
21:24Yumeko follows Raymond and Blake outside, intending to stop them. But finds herself inexplicably
21:29paralyzed. Unable to act. As she turns away, their car explodes. Unbeknownst to everyone except Kira,
21:36a flicker of satisfaction lights up Yumeko's eyes, a subtle smile playing on her lips.
21:41Meanwhile, in another corner of the school, Riri coldly places a detonator inside her father's gift
21:46box. With Suki's funeral still fresh in everyone's minds, the school is rocked by another death.
21:51Blake and Raymond are killed in the car explosion. Kira insinuates that Yumeko is somehow involved,
21:56prompting a sharp retort from Yumeko, who points out she was also present at the scene. Kira then
22:02deliberately reveals that Raymond had ties to organized crime and was a federal informant.
22:07Michael argues that this makes it even less likely that Raymond killed Yumeko's parents.
22:12If he were an informant, he wouldn't risk jeopardizing his position with such a blatant act.
22:16Despite Michael's logic, Yumeko remains convinced of Raymond's guilt.
22:19Michael, who normally avoids gambling, offers a $1 bet that Yumeko is wrong.
22:25If she insists Raymond is the killer, he challenges her to prove it.
22:28The annual St. Dominic's house battle is announced. Each house, diamonds, clubs, hearts,
22:33and spades, has a flag. The diamonds flag is in the east wing atrium, the clubs in the gym,
22:39the hearts in the southwest dorm, and the spades in the student council office.
22:43If a house's flag is captured, they're eliminated. Each student is randomly assigned a card from 2 to
22:48ace. They challenge each other to duels. High card wins, with only a 2 beating an ace.
22:54Losers are eliminated, and winners take their opponent's cards.
22:57The last house standing wins a grand prize, though. Since spades always wins,
23:01the other houses are unaware of its nature. This year, however, the house that captures
23:06the winning flag will receive $50,000 in gambling chips. The student council will deliver each house's
23:11flag, and the game will begin in one hour. Kira personally delivers the hearts flag to Yumeko,
23:16using the opportunity to inquire about the puzzle box. Yumeko gifted her. She describes it as playing
23:22outside the rules, cheating-proof and unbeatable. Kira is intrigued by Yumeko, comparing her to the
23:28puzzle box, an enigma without a solution. Kira expresses regret that Yumeko didn't choose spades,
23:34warning that the heart's inevitable loss will drag her down, and she'll pay for her choice.
23:39The house battle begins in a flurry of challenges. Lower ranking cards are quickly eliminated,
23:43leaving only the strongest players by the end of the day. Since spades always wins,
23:48Mary suggests targeting their flag. Yumeko agrees, needing access to the student council office
23:53to find their confidential records. As the student council begins its sweep of the other houses,
23:59panic ensues, and students scatter. During the chaos, Kira's mother arrives, reprimanding her for
24:05the escalating disorder at St. Dominic's. A top 15 house pet. A nobody rising in the ranks.
24:10The introduction of side betting. All of it reflecting poorly on Kira's leadership,
24:15and jeopardizing her promised seat on the board of directors. Before leaving, Kira's mother delivers
24:20a final warning. Regain control of the school. Crush anyone who stands in her way. And prove to
24:25her father that she's worthy. The house battle rages on. Spades has just eliminated diamonds.
24:31Dory and Chad, clearing a path for their house, set their sights on the clubs. Kira, noticing a fresh
24:36wound on her mother's neck. Wonders if Riri's mother suffers similar abuse from their father.
24:41She vows to change things when she takes control. Kira then swaps cards with Riri,
24:46asking for a defensive card. Anticipating a challenge from Yumeko. On the heart's side,
24:51Yumeko signals Mary and Ryan to stay hidden. She approaches Michael, feigning a challenge,
24:56but intentionally cuts him off mid-sentence. Warning that he'll lose if they play. Intimidated,
25:01Michael declines. Kira observes this exchange. Michael holds a 10, and Yumeko implies she can
25:08beat him, suggesting she has a face card. Just as Dory and Chad return with the diamond's flag,
25:13leaving only hearts and spades. Kira dispatches Dory to deal with Yumeko, and sends Chad to capture
25:19the heart's flag, and end the game. Before Dory can find her, Yumeko seeks her out, but refuses to issue
25:25a challenge. Meanwhile, Ryan goes to defend the heart's flag, and encounters Chad. A fight breaks out.
25:31As Yumeko tries to escape the escalating chaos, a hand pulls her into a supply closet. A student
25:36named Wendy leads her into a secret network of passages, used by house pets to navigate the school
25:41discreetly. This passage leads directly to the student council office. Unable to find Yumeko,
25:47Dory returns to the student council office. Kira instructs her to assist Chad. At that moment,
25:52Michael arrives, claiming Kira's mother is downstairs with urgent news. Kira rushes down, but finds no one
25:58there. Her mother answers her phone from a plane, revealing the ruse. Kira races back to the student
26:03council office, but her card has been switched. Yumeko and Mary use the house pet passage to reach
26:08the student council office. Mary challenges Riri and wins, grabbing the spades' flag. Just as they're
26:14about to escape, Kira intercepts them. Yumeko challenges Kira, beating her jack with a two-leaving
26:20Kira stunned. Spades is eliminated, and Hearts wins the house battle. Mary is also freed from her
26:25house pet status. It's time to reveal the grand prize. To everyone's surprise, the grand prize
26:31is a box of chocolate-covered raisins. Kira, baffled, demands to know how Yumeko won without
26:36cheating, given her constant surveillance. Yumeko reveals that she used Kira's surveillance against
26:41her. By tricking Michael into believing she had a high card, she led Kira to believe she held a face
26:47card. Then, she lured Dory away, allowing Mary to capture the spades' flag, while Ryan defended their
26:53own. Knowing Kira's weakness for her mother, Yumeko used Michael's fabricated message to draw Kira away,
26:59allowing Mary to steal the flag and secure their victory. Kira remains puzzled. Yumeko ransacked
27:04their office, but gave the victory to Mary. There must be a deeper motive. Yumeko doesn't answer,
27:09instead telling Kira to open the puzzle box. She mocks Kira's obsession with order, control, and power,
27:16stating that real life has no rules. Yumeko then smashes the box, revealing a slip of paper inside that
27:21reads, You win. The solution was to break it. Its simplicity, Yumeko explains, is precisely why
27:28Kira lost. Yumeko drags Michael back to his room, to collect her winnings from their $1 bet.
27:33While searching the student council's lockers, Yumeko finds a photo of the full Kakeguruu club
27:38roster. Raymond isn't in it, though back to square one in her quest for revenge, Yumeko is now certain
27:44the killer is among the club members. St. Dominic's is hosting a dance, and Ryan invites Yumeko to attend.
27:50However, upon hearing there's no gambling involved, she expresses disinterest.
27:55Michael has researched the Kakeguruu club members. Besides Yumeko's parents, the members include Kira
28:00and Riri's father, Dori's parents, Runa's father, Suki's mother, and an unnamed house pet. Most are
28:06current student council parents, and also sit on the school's board of directors. Yumeko needs to meet
28:11them, convinced the killer is among them. Despite Michael's reservations, he reveals an end-of-term
28:17gathering, where new student council members meet the board at a secret location. There,
28:21they'll announce St. Dominic's representative. If Yumeko wants to attend, she needs to reach the top
28:26ten, but time is running out, and Kira will undoubtedly try to stop her. Dori interrupts
28:31their conversation, inviting Michael to the dance. Yumeko signals him to accept. She has a plan and needs
28:37him to distract Dori. To execute her plan, Yumeko accepts Ryan's invitation, reasoning that they can
28:43create their own gambling opportunities through side bets. They aim to win the king and queen crowns,
28:48and a side bet quickly emerges, offering 100-1 odds on Yumeko, winning the queen title, despite her
28:55known lack of dancing prowess. After a series of defeats, a wary Kira instructs the student council
29:00to enjoy the dance, but keep a close eye on Yumeko. As the dance begins, Kira leads the queen vote count
29:07with 102 votes, followed by Chad, Runa, Michael, Dori, and Mary. Yumeko and Ryan have zero votes.
29:14Despite dancing for a while, they remain unnoticed. Ryan has an idea. He pulls Yumeko behind a curtain
29:20and begins leading her in a more intimate dance. Their silhouettes, projected onto the curtain,
29:25capture the attention of the crowd, who, intrigued, start voting for them. Suddenly, the dance is
29:30interrupted by the DJ, who reveals himself to be Suki, presumed dead. Having recovered from his
29:36previous ordeal, he reclaims his position as the reigning queen. He then presents a necklace and a
29:41crown, proposing a dance battle between Yumeko and Ryan, for $100. Oh oh oh. The winner moves closer to
29:48the top 10, the loser becomes a house pet. If they refuse, they both lose their side bets. Yumeko is eager
29:54to gamble, but Ryan doesn't want her to risk becoming a house pet. Unable to dissuade her, he suggests
29:59flipping a chip. If it lands on heads, they'll play. The chip is tossed. Friends become rivals, ready to
30:06gamble their futures. Yumeko wins the first round of the dance battle, and the second. But Ryan takes
30:11the third and fourth. The fifth also goes to Ryan. Each player is down to their last two cards.
30:16Ryan laments the situation, wishing for a normal evening with the girl he likes. Yumeko reassures
30:22him that no matter the outcome, they'll be okay. She pushes all her remaining chips in. Unsurprisingly,
30:28Yumeko loses. A satisfied Kira fastens the house pet tag around her neck, relishing the sight of the
30:33rebellious student. Now meekly cleaning up after the dance. Finally, she can sleep soundly. Though
30:39technically Ryan's house pet, in his absence, other students can order Yumeko around. Jack deliberately
30:45spills water and demands that she clean it up like a cat. Yumeko glances at Mary, who, having recently
30:51escaped house pet status herself, avoids eye contact. Yumeko reluctantly complies. With only a week left to
30:57reach the top 10, Kira forbids all students from gambling with Yumeko. Still not satisfied,
31:02she decides to reinstate a favorite Saint Dominic's tradition, the house pet hunt. The students are
31:09thrilled by the announcement. While Yumeko is forced to launder Suki's clothes, Wendy arrives to
31:13rescue her. Grateful students, who benefited from Yumeko's side bets, have arranged for Wendy to assist
31:19her discreetly. Wendy explains that the house pet hunt was once the only way for house pets to escape
31:24their servitude until it was banned three years ago after a student died. If Yumeko wants to reach the
31:30top 10, she can exploit the hunt's unique rules and better debt. Before the hunt begins, Yumeko gives
31:36Michael a map, instructing him to follow it and search for Jay, while everyone else is preoccupied.
31:41Michael follows the map, discovering the house pet passage. While trying to orient himself, he runs
31:46into Dory. Knowing she won't leave him alone, he ignores her and continues his search for the
31:51house pet library, marked on the map. Meanwhile, Runa explains the rules of the hunt.
31:56Jeweled eggs are hidden throughout the playing area, each with a different monetary value.
32:01The most valuable is the golden egg, worth $100,000. However, there's a new twist. House pets are not
32:07only hunters but also hunted. Owners are tasked with obstructing other players' house pets, by any
32:13means necessary. Mary reminds Kira that there are cameras everywhere, and offers to help Chad and Suki
32:18locate the high-value eggs. She tells Kira to bet everything on them and not die. Yumeko,
32:24understanding Mary's hint, thanks her. After Runa's signal, the players rush into the forest.
32:29The other students immediately start placing side bets. Yumeko proposes following Chad and Suki
32:34to find the valuable eggs. Ryan argues for maintaining a safe distance from the
32:39psychos, but ultimately relents to Yumeko's stubbornness. Riri brings Mary to the student
32:44council room, much to Kira's displeasure. Ignoring their bickering, Mary focuses on the monitors,
32:50where the betting odds favor. Chad, due to his strong start, Chad and his house pet are making
32:55a name for themselves, with their aggressive, almost feral approach. Suddenly, they receive a
33:00signal from their accomplice, and abruptly change direction. Yumeko and Ryan pursuing Chad lose
33:05sight of them. An arrow whizzes past, and Ryan instinctively fires back, missing his target.
33:11They've become the hunted. Chad pursues them relentlessly, but eventually loses their trail.
33:16Overhearing Yumeko and Ryan's conversation, Chad realizes they are his targets, not competitors
33:21seeking the eggs. In the house pet library, Dory discovers a photo of her mother and Michael's
33:26father on the wall. Michael quickly removes and hides it. Yumeko and Ryan manage to evade Chad.
33:32Yumeko places a can on a rock, and, with her guidance, Ryan successfully shoots it. While others
33:38are hunting, they're having a makeshift date. Mary, observing their antics, is speechless.
33:42She sighs, realizing she focused too much on Yumeko, and neglected her own game. As soon
33:48as Mary and Riri leave, the cameras near Yumeko and Ryan are disabled. Yumeko spots an egg in
33:54a tunnel, and excitedly rushes towards it. Suki ambushes her, shooting an arrow into her
33:59leg. Yumeko calmly removes the arrow, and asks Ryan to tend to her wound. He suggests they
34:04return, but Yumeko refuses. She pleads with Ryan to understand her desperation to reach the
34:09top ten. Meanwhile, in the monitoring room, Kira is horrified, as camera feeds go dark one after
34:15another. Furious at the escalating chaos, Yumeko spots the $100,000 golden egg, lying in plain sight.
34:23Ryan is certain it's a trap, but Yumeko doesn't care. Before they can reach it, an arrow lands
34:28between them. Kira appears, firing a volley of arrows. Yumeko wants to risk it all, but Ryan refuses
34:34to let her endanger her life. This isn't a gamble he's willing to take, they abandon the golden egg
34:39and flee. As Kira aims at them, Riri intervenes, stopping her from firing. The house pet hunt
34:45concludes with a double victory. Suki is disappointed with her 7th place finish. Exhausted, Yumeko barely
34:51acknowledges Ryan. She feels bad for Mary, assuming she lost her bet. However, Mary's ranking has
34:57improved, meaning she didn't bet on Yumeko after all. Yumeko's disappointment deepens when Michael
35:02reports finding no information about Jay. He suggests that if another Jay exists at the school,
35:07they've erased their tracks. Yumeko notices Michael's unease, suspecting he's hiding something.
35:13She simply calls him a good friend and walks away. Later, in the house pet library, Yumeko discovers
35:18the hidden photograph, a school picture of Michael's father. Holding it in her hand, she calls Michael
35:23and asks what his father's nickname was in school. He reveals his father's full name is
35:28Gabriel Elbert Adam. But everyone calls him. Jay. A week flew by, and now, at midnight,
35:34the leaderboard closes. Yumeko has only 8 hours left. She needs to break into the top 10 to make
35:40money. Desperately. She's even resorting to strip poker with Chad. Everyone thinks she's wasting her
35:45time. To jump from her current, barely they're ranking into the top 10. She needs over $100.
35:51Oh oh oh oh oh, while she's already in debt for half that amount.
35:54Mary, planning her own gambling strategy, finds the doors locked. It's Dory. She's trapped them
36:00all inside. While everyone scrambles for an exit, Michael's shifty expression goes unnoticed.
36:06It seems Kira, aware of Yumeko's secret gambling, orchestrated this lockdown. Chad,
36:11claustrophobic and panicking, loses his focus on the game with Yumeko. Michael claims to have called
36:16security, assuring everyone they just need to wait. But Yumeko, with less than 7 hours remaining,
36:21can't afford to. She notices a draft behind a cabinet, revealing a hidden pet passage.
36:27Ignoring whether anyone follows, Yumeko takes the lead, determined to escape. Mary,
36:32also needing to climb the leaderboard, follows close behind. Soon, the others trickle after them,
36:37leaving Michael alone. He knocks for Dory, asking for a favor, before slipping into the pet passage
36:43himself. Navigating the passageways, they stumble upon a locked room. Yumeko, on a hunch,
36:49uses her Kakagurui chip to unlock it. Inside, they discover the Kakagurui club's secret den,
36:55filled with intriguing and potentially dangerous games. Ryan spots Yumeko's parents in a group photo,
37:00realizing she comes from a prominent family. Yumeko, oblivious, doesn't notice Michael subtly
37:06blocking the image of his father in the same photo. An idea sparks in Yumeko's mind,
37:11they can host a gambling den right here. A chance to climb the ranks without Kira's interference.
37:15To attract players, she enlists Wendy to spread the word among the school's pets,
37:20hoping they'll lead their owners to the secret room. Excluding, of course, the top 10 students.
37:25With the stage set, Yumeko focuses all her energy on gambling and winning.
37:29Four hours vanish in a blink, leaving just two before the leaderboard freezes.
37:33Michael, determined to keep Yumeko from encountering his father, tries to distract her.
37:38Unfortunately for him, Dory points out Michael's father in the group photo at that exact moment.
37:43Yumeko pushes Michael aside for a clearer view. Reading the name beneath,
37:47Gabriel Robert Adam. Michael scrambles to explain, claiming he was planning to tell her,
37:53but couldn't find the right words. He insists his father wasn't involved in the death of Yumeko's
37:57parents. However, when Yumeko challenges him to look her in the eye and repeat his claim,
38:02he can't. With his deception exposed, Michael takes drastic measures. He seeks out Kira,
38:07and together, they descend to the basement, cutting off the school's power. With only an hour and a
38:12half remaining for Yumeko, Runa announces the leaderboard will close early due to the outage.
38:17Mary protests vehemently, as she's so close to the top 10 at 13th place. Surprisingly, Chad,
38:23having memorized everyone's positions and earnings, steps up. With his help, they continue gambling,
38:29keeping track of the scores manually instead of relying on the now-disabled system.
38:33In the final hour, Ryan, after learning Yumeko's story from Michael, decides to give her all his money.
38:38It's not a gift, he explains, but a repayment of the money Yumeko lent him on her first day,
38:44hoping it will help her reach her goal. Just as Yumeko escapes house pet status,
38:48Kira's group arrives. Seeing Mary in 12th place, Kira makes an offer, win the next big game,
38:54exploit her cheating skills to the fullest, and secure a spot in the top 10. The offer is too
38:59tempting for Mary to refuse. She challenges Yumeko to a rematch, and Yumeko accepts. They have a maximum
39:05of 20 minutes to finish the game. The game is a nerve-wracking test of courage. Several strings
39:10are attached to a guillotine. One is connected to the blade. The last player to keep their finger
39:15on a string wins. Yumeko and Mary place their index fingers on the strings. Yumeko goes first,
39:21offering a 20-to-1 side bet that she'll cut the string attached to the blade. She confidently cuts
39:26a string. Yumeko believes Mary will cheat. Indeed, before the game, Mary had placed a safety mechanism
39:32on the guillotine, but then had Dory remove it, deciding she didn't need to cheat to beat Yumeko.
39:38As they continue cutting strings, their excitement grows, while the onlookers become increasingly
39:42terrified by their recklessness. With only seconds remaining, the tension is palpable.
39:47Yumeko's breathing becomes heavier. The game is exhilaratingly dangerous. Suddenly,
39:52a sickening thud echoes through the room. It takes Mary a few moments to realize she's lost a finger.
39:57She screams in pain. But the victory is hers. The power comes back on. Five minutes remain.
40:03Everyone watches as the rankings update. Despite losing a finger, Mary has climbed to ninth place.
40:09As Kira is about to congratulate the new student council members, Yumeko interrupts.
40:13She has an outstanding side bet. She wagered $750 sat, 100-to-1 odds that Mary would join the
40:20student council by the end of the term. She's won $75,000. Mary recalls Yumeko's earlier statement
40:26about betting on her. It wasn't just empty words. In that moment of Mary's victory over Yumeko,
40:31they both won. The side bet pushed Yumeko just into the top 10, barely edging out 11th place.
40:38Because Michael was in the basement, he was unaware of Yumeko's success. By the time he finds out and
40:43rushes after them, the student council is already en route to the secret meeting. We have to stop her.
40:48Michael tells Ryan. Why? Ryan asks. Because Yumeko is going to kill my father.
40:54Ryan drives Michael to the board member's retreat. Having witnessed Yumeko's bomb making skills,
40:59Michael knows how dangerous she can be. However, his father is no pushover either.
41:04His business is a front. Jay is a high-ranking member of the Yakuza.
41:08Michael fears Yumeko will be the one in danger. Arriving at the retreat,
41:12Ryan cleverly disguises himself as a staff member to gain entry. Yumeko, having made her own
41:17preparations, joins the gathering. As she searches for Jay, Kira's family observes her.
41:22Akari brings Kira and Riri to meet the girl, who has caused his daughter so much trouble.
41:27He expresses admiration for Yumeko, but warns that reckless ambition without control is foolish,
41:33while control without ambition is cowardly. Yumeko calmly responds in Japanese.
41:37A life without risk isn't worth living. Dori's mother, intrigued by her daughter's stories about
41:42Yumeko, arrives to see the Saint Dominic disruptor for herself, and determine her family background.
41:47Yumeko, wanting to avoid a meaningless interaction, excuses herself. As she turns,
41:53Jay enters. After a moment of stunned silence, Yumeko regains her composure and engages him in
41:59conversation, offering to fetch him a drink. The opportunity for revenge has arrived.
42:04She's waited for this moment and is determined to succeed. Yumeko poisons the drink, stirs it with
42:09a swizzle stick, and prepares to deliver it to Jay. However, he's distracted. Just as she's wondering
42:15what to do, Suki gathers everyone for a game called Piggy Bank. A roll of cash is stuffed into a
42:20piggy bank's mouth and hoisted into the air. Staff members will scramble to grab the prize,
42:25while the students and board members place bets on the winner. Ryan, not interested in the game,
42:30attempts to leave but is stopped by the manager and security. All staff are required to participate
42:35in the guest's entertainment. While everyone is focused on the game, Yumeko tries to give Jay the
42:40poison drink, but is intercepted by Michael. Unable to let him ruin her plan, she demands
42:46that the manager remove all non-participants from the party. Ryan, after a struggle, manages to grab
42:51the piggy bank, but the game isn't over. The winner becomes the next piggy bank. A panicked Ryan flees,
42:57pursued by the other staff. Mary, attempting to engage Akari in conversation, overhears a shocking
43:03revelation. Akari reassures Riri that Blake's death was a result of his father's greed,
43:08not her bomb, and that she's doing exactly as instructed. Akari then greets Jay. Their brief
43:13exchange gives Yumeko a disturbing insight. As Akari walks away, she tries again to offer Jay the
43:19drink, but is thwarted when the manager informs Jay that Michael wants to see him upstairs.
43:24Michael warns his father that he's in danger, due to his involvement in Kiko and Yozabami's deaths.
43:29Jay dismisses the warning, and scolds Michael for his disappointing behavior at school.
43:33He promises to discuss Michael's future after he's finished with his business.
43:38As Yumeko finally makes her way back to Jay, Kira intercepts her. By the time Yumeko finishes
43:43their brief conversation, the drink is gone. Michael, under surveillance, is trapped. Suddenly,
43:48Dori appears, offering her unconditional assistance. Michael asks her to help him escape. While Yumeko
43:54searches for her poisoned drink, Akari gathers everyone for an important announcement. He proposes
43:59a toast to Kiko and Yozabami, stating that without them, none of them would be there. They brought
44:04everyone together and laid the foundation for their current success. Though Kiko and Yozabami
44:09lost their way, they must ensure things are set right. He implies they all know what must be done.
44:14Yumeko is struck by his words, a horrifying realization dawning on her. The truth is far more
44:19twisted than she imagined. Akari continues his announcement. It's time to reveal Saint Dominic's
44:24representative. Kira's smug smile falters as Riri's name is called, not hers. The crowd erupts in applause.
44:31Yumeko, feeling a crushing disappointment, rushes outside, bumping into Michael. He urges her to
44:37leave, but she can't. Jay may have pulled the trigger, but the entire Kakiguri club was complicit.
44:42They are all guilty and must die. Michael tries to stop her, but Ryan intervenes,
44:47grabbing Michael by the collar. If Yumeko wants to burn the place down, he'll give her the match.
44:52He blocks Michael, telling Yumeko to do what she needs to do. Yumeko turns back to find her poison drink,
44:58only to discover it in Kira's hand. Having seen the Kakigurui club photo,
45:03and Yumeko's reaction to her father's mention of Kiko and Yozabami, Kira has pieced together Yumeko's
45:08intentions. Annoyed by Yumeko's feigned ignorance, Kira demands she drink the wine to prove it's not
45:13poisoned. Threatening to tell her father otherwise, Yumeko calmly takes the glass, drinks half, then
45:20grabs Kira and spits the wine into her mouth. Welcome to my game. 15 years ago, Kiko and Yozabami urged
45:26the Kakigurui club members to invest in a large-scale project, promising a payoff beyond
45:31their wildest dreams. Kiko had invented a revolutionary financial tool, putting the power
45:36of currency into the hands of the people, bypassing governments and banks. It was a new form of digital
45:41currency, Bitcoin. Kira has now ingested the poison. In 30 minutes, it will enter her bloodstream and kill
45:47her. If she breathes a word of this to anyone, she'll never get the antidote. Kira doesn't believe
45:52her. As she moves to tell her father, Yumeko proposes a gamble with their lives, as the stakes
45:58and the antidote as the prize. Win and live, lose and die. Many would be eager to witness such a high
46:04stakes game. After a moment's consideration, Kira accepts. She agrees to remain silent until she
46:10defeats Yumeko. They agree to play blackjack, but first, they need a dealer. Ryan volunteers, but Mary
46:16steps forward, and they settle on her. With 24 minutes until the poison takes effect, they begin
46:21with $20,000 in chips, a minimum bet of $500, and 3 rounds of 10 hands each. If the dealer busts, Mary is
46:29eliminated from that round. The winner takes the pot, and they play until one of them is bankrupt. Akari
46:34raises the stakes. The loser will be expelled from St. Dominic's. In the first round, Yumeko opens with a
46:40$2,000 bet. Kira matches but doesn't draw. Yumeko doubles the bet and deals. Yumeko gets 21, the dealer
46:47busts. Yumeko wins. The strong start unnerves Kira, who avoids her father's gaze. Michael finds his father
46:54after he meets with Dori's mother. Intrigued by his son's persistence, Jay asks who wants him dead.
47:00Though Michael doesn't name Yumeko directly, his demeanor gives her away. Jay realizes it's Kiko and
47:05Yozabami's daughter, a girl willing to risk everything for her family. Disgusted by the contrast
47:10with his son, Jay decides to withdraw Michael from St. Dominic's and deal with Yumeko himself.
47:1614 minutes remain until the poison takes hold. Yumeko and Kira are in the second round of blackjack.
47:21The poison is affecting them both. Their thinking becomes hazy, and waves of nausea and dizziness
47:26wash over them. Mary watches in disbelief, wondering what's wrong with them, comparing their state to
47:31addicts experiencing withdrawal. The pressure of gambling while poisoned is immense. Yumeko starts
47:37hallucinating. If they don't finish quickly, they'll both die. Kira leans in and whispers a secret.
47:42Kiko and Yozabami were close friends with all of the parents present. The foolish couple betrayed
47:47their friends, stealing their money and hiding their invention, even after Kira's father begged them to
47:52stop. The price of their greed, stupidity and irresponsibility was death, but their daughter is still
47:57alive. Yumeko and Kira have three minutes left to make our ambitions a reality. Yumeko says,
48:03We must embrace risk. Kira suddenly feels a surge of clarity. She looks behind her at her father,
48:09then exchanges a few seemingly meaningless words with Yumeko. Seeing the spark in Kira's eyes,
48:15Yumeko knows she understands. They both push all their chips in for the final hand. The cards are
48:20flipped. Yumeko has 14, Kira has 20. Yumeko hits and busts with 22. Kira reaches for the chips,
48:26but the game isn't over. Mary reveals her hand, 21. She wins. Neither Yumeko nor Kira loses
48:33everything. They quickly split the antidote. Akari praises Mary as the best gambler present,
48:38but expresses disappointment in Kira in front of everyone. Kira demands to know what Riri has that
48:43she doesn't. Akari bluntly states that Riri has greater ambition and is ready for the real world,
48:49while Kira has a long way to go before she matures. When Kira protests, clinging to her father,
48:54he slaps her. Riri tries to help her up, but Kira pulls her down and pins her to the ground.
49:00Riri doesn't resist, letting Kira do as she pleases. Kira, however, regains control of her rage,
49:05the humiliation enough. She goes to the restroom to purge the poison. Yumeko follows, offering a deal.
49:11Kira keeps Yumeko's true identity secret from the Kakaguri club. And in return, Yumeko will help
49:17her regain control of the school and prove Akari wrong for choosing Riri. Kira remains silent for a
49:22moment, then replies that sometimes being an orphan like Yumeko seems preferable. Her life has been
49:27predetermined since birth. Every aspect is controlled by others. Yumeko's path, too,
49:32was set the moment her parents were murdered. After this somber exchange, they both burst into
49:36laughter. Dori bursts into the restroom. I'm taking a dump. Stay if you want the aroma. Make it quick,
49:43she says to Yumeko. As Mary prepares to leave, Jay stops her, inviting her to dinner so they can get to

50:00but only as a last resort. Regarding Jay, Yumeko plans to kill him before dinner. Kira dismisses the
50:06plan, predicting Michael will inherit his father's criminal empire and become a resentful, wealthy
50:11brat. Kira asks Yumeko if she truly intends to kill the entire board, including her father. Yumeko confirms
50:17her intentions and states she needs a trustworthy accomplice. Finally, Yumeko confronts Jay. After
50:23she confirms she's there for revenge, he gestures for her to follow him into a private room. Jay places
50:29a gun on the bar, telling her she can do whatever she wants to him, but she must give him the key.
50:3415 years ago, after stealing the club's money, her parents hid $30 million somewhere, and he
50:39believes she has the key. Kira enters, hands Yumeko a drink she supposedly left behind, and quickly
50:45exits. Returning to the key, Yumeko denies having it. Jay explains it's a virtual key, a code stored
50:51on a hard drive, or a piece of paper. Yumeko insists she knows nothing. Threatening to expose her to
50:57Akari, Jay tries to force her to reveal the key's location. Yumeko doubts he'll get the chance. She
51:03stabs him in the stomach with the poisoned swizzle stick. If he tells her the truth, she'll give him
51:07the antidote. Jay confesses to killing her parents, claiming it was the club's decision. Enraged, Yumeko
51:13smashes the antidote vial. As Jay lies dying, he reveals that Yumeko's mother is still alive,
51:19and he knows where she is. He dies before revealing her location. Kira urges Yumeko to leave, promising
51:24to handle the situation. See you next semester, partner, she says. Dory's mother is the first to
51:30discover Jay's body. Kira feigns shock, loudly questioning Akari in front of everyone. Despite
51:35Michael's attempts to prevent it, his father is dead. Yumeko climbs onto Ryan's car, and they
51:40flee the retreat. Is it over? No, it's just the beginning. This is the end of season 1. See
