28 Ans Plus Tard - Imagine
Transcription
00:20Go back to the truth.
00:24Comment le monde répond à ça ?
00:27Has the country been quarantined, essentially abandoned ?
00:32The Holy Island, which is where our film begins,
00:34it's protected by a causeway that you can defend,
00:38but there's a lack of machinery, no electricity or fuel.
00:42Everything that surrounds our life now, suddenly it's useless.
00:45The mainland then becomes somewhere over there
00:49which has both promise and threat.
00:52When countries collapse for one reason or another,
00:55they're often abandoned.
00:56and there's a ruthless, pragmatic, dog-eat-dog dimension
01:00to the way these things play out.
01:05And the infected,
01:07these are extraordinary creatures.
01:10They haven't died and come back to life.
01:13They're living people who've got sick
01:15and been infected with the rage virus.
01:17That dictates some stuff.
01:21They need to drink, they need to eat.
01:22If they've survived 28 years infected with this disease,
01:26what would they look like?
01:28Are they similar to anything in the animal kingdom?
01:31What would they be similar to?
01:32When you're doing a movie,
01:37you're looking for those images
01:38that will terrify people.
01:41There's a visceral element to cinema
01:43where you have a responsibility
01:44to push the envelope as far as you can go.
01:47I want that sense of suffocating intensity.
01:56It doesn't feel like a sequel.
01:58It feels like an original film.
02:00I want that relationship.
