Transcript
00:00Hey guys, I'm Darren McMullen.
00:28I am the founder of Racket Club and we are here in our brand spanking new Canberra Racket
00:35Club.
00:36It is the only paddle and pickleball center in the capital.
00:40Paddle is the fastest growing sport in the world for good reason.
00:43It's highly addictive.
00:44It's the same scoring as tennis, 15, 30, 40 game.
00:50After six games, you win the set, whoever best of three sets wins the entire match.
00:55Now, usually played in doubles, the glass is in play.
00:59It's a little bit of squash, it's a little bit of tennis, a bit of geometry.
01:03So I hope you paid attention to school and a whole lot of fun.
01:06The only other thing you need to know is the serve is underhand.
01:09So really anyone can play.
01:11The big thing with tennis is it makes it so hard to enter into the game at an adult level
01:15is the serve.
01:16It's completely debilitating if you've got a guy who can serve.
01:19This is a complete balancer, underarm serve, bounce to the ball, cross court like tennis,
01:24game on.
01:25Simple as that.
01:26Come down, check us out, have some fun.
01:29We have heaters, it's inside and we have a bar, more importantly.
01:38So the glass comes into play.
01:40One more of them.
01:43And you can also hit it off the glass and over as well.
01:46That counts too.
01:47As long as it only touches your side on the ground once, you're good to go.
01:55Out.
01:56You can use all of the glasses in play to use to your advantage as well.
02:10Out.
02:15Anything on the full is out.
02:18My partner is clearly terrible.
