Ben Stokes hits back at criticism over his decision at the toss in England's five-wicket victory over India
Transcript
00:00You never know what a wicket's going to play like half an hour before any cricket's been on it.
00:08It looked like there was a lot of top moisture on it, felt like it was,
00:13so when you win the toss you've obviously got to go,
00:16what am I going to do first, that's going to give us the best chance of winning this game.
00:20Headingley generally does do quite a lot early on,
00:23so with the bowling attack we had, in particular with Wokesy with the new ball,
00:28I thought it was a great chance for us to be able to potentially nick three or four in the first hour,
00:34but the opposition are allowed to play well, they certainly did that on day one,
00:39and into day two as well, put a big score on the total,
00:41but we hadn't batted on it until we batted,
00:46and it's a good job test cricket's over five days.
