'Queen of Versailles' star Jackie Siegel is not here for the Kristin Chenoweth National Anthem slander -- she’s backing her girl hard, saying the Broadway legend who plays her on stage is talented as hell!

00:06good to see you too I want to ask you you know Kristen Chenoweth has been a lot of backlash for her version of the national anthem

00:13what do you what did you do I was actually having lunch and it popped up on my Instagram

00:18and I was showing all of my friends the the live of the feed and when she sang the national anthem

00:26and she carried that note for so long and so high my friends they were all in awe they said oh my gosh

00:35and she kept going and going and it was just so powerful I mean I and they all like actually

00:42were clapping at the lunch table you know so I think we brought a lot of attention to ourselves

00:47and you know I tell you I've got so so much tragedy going on in my life losing my my

00:55husband recently and and my sister to a drug overdose and I've been listening to every night

01:04or whenever I get sad I listen to her music and and it's really given me strength and to

01:11have her friendship and her love and support you know she sends me videos Jackie cheer up everything's

01:17going to be okay I'm here for you and it's just um I it's just like um just I don't know if I could

01:24have asked for a better person to I feel like an angel was brought into my life my gosh I I could

01:34couldn't um believe it when I got that call they actually asked for my approval and I'm like yes oh

01:41my god and my kids when we saw the previews up in Boston the kids said mom they said we felt that was

01:52you on stage but I wouldn't have been able to do a better version of myself on stage so I think

01:58Kristen's really killing it what was it like meeting her you know but she's so petite

02:04so what I I've been doing is when we get together I buy matching dresses so we've been like kind of

02:09you know playing like big sister little sister I love that has you come to the house yes I gave her

02:15when I a tour of Versailles so we spent a lot of time together so she can and she actually was like

02:21learning my accent you know I guess I have an upstate accent I didn't I thought I lost it but

02:26um she's she's really um got me to a tee and I tell you she's um she's really becoming a legend

02:35and I I couldn't have I'm just so honored I mean it's like if I was dreaming don't pinch me because

02:41I do not want to wake up I want to stay in this dream so it's been a very challenging time for you

02:48did you say Kristen has been there for you through this time and her music has been helping you get through it

02:53yep Kristen Chen with her music is my therapy it really is and and I think thank god for her to give me the strength

03:02I do want to ask you know will you be doing another documentary at all will you be you know taking us in

03:08I am open to it um so I'm in in some talks right now I would love to um to engage with um with this

03:24world and really make a difference and and I love every opportunity um to um well really my whole thing

03:33is about saving life so anything I do is going to be um a part of that as well
