Transcript
00:00Mr. Minister, the U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Iran must now make peace,
00:05otherwise the future attacks, he says, will be far greater and much easier.
00:11So how is Tehran responding to that threat from Washington? Thank you.
00:16I think it's not up to Iran to respond to that.
00:19The whole international community should respond of such a clear threat against the United Nations Charter.
00:26Iran has done nothing wrong.
00:32We do not understand why Iran should be attacked for a false accusation that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons.
00:47It's now more than 20 years that we are trying to prove that our peaceful nuclear program is in fact peaceful.
00:56And would remain peaceful.
01:00We negotiated for a long time with the so-called P5 plus 1.
01:05And we came to a deal which the whole world celebrated as an achievement of diplomacy.
01:12And then it was the U.S. who withdrew from that deal and reimposed their sanctions and restarted their threats.
01:21Again, we were negotiating with the same administration.
01:27Then all of a sudden, they decided to attack us.
01:31First by Israelis, then by themselves.
01:35And now they are threatening us for more attacks.
01:38So it's not up to Iran, but it's up to the international community to condemn this, to prevent this.
01:47Otherwise, there would be nothing left for the international law, for the security at the world level.
01:59Well, the Security Council should play its role, should play its responsibility to prevent, to condemn and prevent these kind of threats.
02:11We will certainly defend our interest.
02:13We will certainly defend our territorial integrity, our sovereignty and our people.
02:18And I'm so glad that our people are now fully understand what injustice they are doing against the Iranian people.
02:29They are united and in solidarity with the government.
02:34And we stand firm against any aggression.
