00:00On a dried-up riverbed, a sacred sword was stuck deep in a stone.

00:03When soldiers discovered it, they all scrambled to pull it out,

00:06refusing to give way to one another.

00:08But the sword stood firm, immovable like an anchor in the sea.

00:12No one present was able to draw it.

00:14News of the sword reached the king.

00:15He arrived with his entourage and, at a glance, recognized it as his brother's sword.

00:20The king then issued a royal decree,

00:22calling men from all corners of the kingdom to attempt drawing the sword.

00:25But after half a month of effort, no one succeeded.

00:28Then, from within the dense crowd, a man named Arthur began to stir.

00:32He boldly cut the line, pushing through the crowd until he stood before the sword,

00:36feeling a strange sense of familiarity.

00:39Arthur reached for the hilt and suddenly grimaced in pain, as if struck by lightning.

00:42He immediately let go, prompting a nearby captain to mock him.

00:46Collect your brand, back on the bar.

00:48Arthur tried again.

00:49This time, he gripped the hilt with both hands.

00:52Instantly, the sword glowed brilliantly.

00:54As he pulled, the earth shook violently.

00:56Dogs barked like mad, and warhorses panicked.

00:59In one motion, Arthur drew the sword, stunning even the captain.

01:02But having touched the sacred sword for the first time,

01:05Arthur couldn't control its power.

01:07He collapsed and passed out.

01:09The sword, it turns out, belonged to King Uther to preserve peace.

01:13The wizard Merlin had stolen a powerful sorcerer's staff and forged it into a sword of kings.

01:18He entrusted the Lady of the Lake to deliver the blade to King Uther,

01:21with only his bloodline able to wield it.

01:23Even so, war was inevitable.

01:25The sorcerer's king, hungry for land and power,

01:28ordered his mages to use dark magic and control giants to wage war against mankind.
