00:00We're fortunate enough in Surrey to benefit from lots of woodland and forests, but we
00:05are unfortunately seeing a huge increase in wildfires year on year.
00:10This year we're expecting it to be particularly busy.
00:12We're seeing hotter summers, wetter winters and dry springs, which is the perfect storm
00:19for wildfire conditions.
00:21Wildfires are very, very dangerous, they spread very quickly, particularly where they interface
00:26with people's houses, it can be an issue.
00:29We're urging people to stay safe, enjoy the countryside, don't use disposable barbecues,
00:35never have open fires and take all your rubbish home.
00:38If you do come across a wildfire, it's really important to get yourself to a place of safety
00:44and call 999.
00:46Give them as much information as you can as to the location of the fire, including maybe
00:50a What3Words reference.
