00:00Rivalry renewed this year between the Cardinals and the Cubs despite being NL Central divisional
00:05foes. First meeting of the season starting last night on a Monday in the loo. A four game set
00:12during the midweek and you told us be a little bit cautious of Ben Brown. Yeah it wasn't a great
00:17outing yesterday for Chicago starter. Five innings of work allowing nine base knocks
00:22in eight earned runs as the Redbirds remain red hot. 8-2 victory over Chicago yesterday to start
00:30off this four game set. Yeah you see that final score 8-2. We also talked about it yesterday. Still
00:35those hot temperatures out there in St. Louis. It's like you just go ahead and say I'm going to fade
00:39the pitchers in this environment because how hot it is there and you should have done that yesterday.
00:43You would have cashed in a ticket eight and a half to nines at the closing number 8-2 final. But how
00:47about this though? The St. Louis Cardinals if we would have told you before the game hey you know
00:50what? One for three with runners in scoring position. Yeah they got beat 8-2. Well they
00:54won 8-2. Why? Because they smashed four home runs yesterday in that heat and humidity. An easy
00:59victory for them yesterday slowing down the Cubs who dropped now to 46 and 32. And how about
01:04this? The St. Louis Cardinals 43 and 36. One of those teams that's going to be that good a team
01:10this year and actually picked by most outlets that have finished last possibly in the Central
01:14hanging around 25 and 15 at home and did the work yesterday in the heat and humidity.
