Kanwar committees to get funds through Direct Benefit Transfer: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, June 24, 2025 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired cabinet meeting on June 24. She also held press briefing after meeting.Addressing the press conference, CM Rekha Gupta said, "In the name of giving services to all the Kanwar Yatris, the previous govt has made this work the spot of the corruption... Only 2-3 people used to take the tender for the whole of Delhi... Committees of Kanwar Yatris told us that till the last day, tents were not put up... We have decided that all the Kanwar committees will get funds through direct benefit transfer from the Delhi govt."

00:30आज की हमने इस कैबिनेट में जो हमारी आज कैबिनेट थी उसमें एक एतिहासिक फैसला लिया है. वर्षों से कावड योकियो सेवा देने के नाम पे पिछली सरकारों ने इस पूरी कारे को ब्रश्टाचार का अड़ा बना दिया था.

00:52पूरी की पूरी दिल्ली में टेंट की सेवा देंगे बाकी चीज़े करेंगे इस नाम से टेंडर किये जाते थे और मात्र दो या तीन लोग पूरी दिल्ली के वो टेंडर उठा लेते थे.

01:10और उसके बाद वो सब लेटिंग कर देते थे. कई बार तो संस्थाओं को ये कह देते थे आप अपने आप करा लीजी हम आपको ये दे सकते हैं.

01:21यानि की सरकार खर्चती थी 500 रुपे और नीचे जो लाब था वो 100 रुपे का भी नहीं पहुँचता था.

01:31इस परकार की स्थितियां थी. और इस पूरे आयोजन में करोडों रुपे खर्च किये जाते थे सरकार के द्वारा.

01:38जनता तक वो लाब पहुचता नहीं था. सरकार खर्चती थी जाता कहा था. ये बहुत बड़ा प्रश्ण है. अभी भी जब हमने कावड यात्रियों की उन समीतियों को बुलाया और उनसे चर्चा करी कि आपको क्या-क्या समस्याएं आती है तो उन्होंने बताया कि आखरी

02:08और पूरे उस प्रोसेस में जो कावड समीतियां होती थी, वो इंतजार करती रहती थी कि कब हमें ठेकेदार अलोट होगा, कब हमारा काम शुरू होगा, कब खतम होगा और इस सारे के सारे प्रकरण में वो लोग इतना हैरेस हो जाते थे कि सरकार की जो कावड में दीवी सह
