00:04could drag Russia and Europe into a potential conflict in the Taiwan Strait.
00:09And we are all very worried, of course, about the situation in Taiwan.
00:13And we also know that there is a risk that if the Chinese will try anything with Taiwan,
00:19that no doubt he will call his junior partner Mr. Putin
00:23and make sure that the junior partner in that relationship with China, Mr. Putin,
00:27will keep us busy here.
00:30Ruda made the remarks ahead of the NATO summit in The Hague.
00:34He stressed the alliance's close ties with the Asia-Pacific
00:36and that allies Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand
00:40are also concerned about China's military expansion.
00:44At the summit, NATO members will commit to increasing defense spending
00:47to 5% of their country's GDP, a key demand from U.S. President Donald Trump.
00:52But some fear U.S. strikes on Iran could overshadow the meeting.
