00:00Yes, I have apologized to people who feel that I said something racist, but that was never my intention.
00:08Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we'll be looking at famous people who attempted a career comeback and failed.
00:14Some may still be working in their respective fields, but are no longer as popular as they once were.
00:20I think, you know, when people listen to the album, they'll understand, you know, the travels that I've been through.
00:27Number 30, Warren Beatty.
00:31From Bonnie and Clyde to Reds, Warren Beatty was among Hollywood's most prominent names.
00:38Even following the disastrous bomb Ishtar, he rebounded with Dick Tracy and Bugsy.
00:44Jeez, Ben, the way you spend money, you never have anything left.
00:47So? I'll make more. It's only dirty paper.
00:49After town and country set a new standard for flops, though, Beatty retreated from the limelight for 15 years.
00:56Beatty returned with Rules Don't Apply, which he directed, wrote, produced, and starred in as Howard Hughes.
01:03It was clear this would either be a legendary comeback or failed Oscar bait.
01:08It was the latter, not only receiving zero Oscar nominations, but barely grossing a sixth of its $25 million budget.
01:16Honey.
01:17Hey, I'm gonna get busy on the screen test.
01:19Beatty still appeared at that year's Oscars to present Best Picture.
01:23Of course, that was the year of Envelopegate, which is sadly where most modern audiences know Beatty from.
01:30Number 29, Amanda Bynes.
01:33Amanda Bynes' success seemed bound to follow her into adulthood.
01:37Sweetheart, be a good little girl and run to the gas station and fill this up with gas.
01:41You want me to walk 53 miles?
01:43No, no, no. Run!
01:45Then, suddenly in 2010, she announced her retirement from acting.
01:49Over the following decade and a half, Bynes made headlines for run-ins with the law, substance use, mental health struggles, troubling tweets, and temporary conservatorship.
02:01Bynes occasionally teased a comeback.
02:03In 2018, she expressed her desire to revisit acting, although her filmography remained inactive.
02:102023 set the stage for another potential comeback, with Bynes to appear at 90s Con, but she missed the All That panel.
02:19That same year, Bynes co-hosted a podcast with Paul Siminski, although she walked away after an episode.
02:26Hi, everyone. Welcome to Amanda Bynes and Paul Siminski, the podcast.
02:30Today, we are welcoming Dahlia Moth on our show.
02:32Bynes has seemingly left showbiz for good, now focusing on being a manicurist.
02:37Number 28, Nia Vardalos.
02:40The definition of a sleeper hit, My Big Fat Greek Wedding grossed over $300 million on a $5 million budget.
02:47Yeah, I was swept out of my feet by your very cool opening line of, hi.
02:53The rom-com catapulted star and writer Nia Vardalos into stardom, although the honeymoon couldn't last forever.
03:00Over the following years, Vardalos took center stage in a short-lived sitcom based on her Oscar-nominated film,
03:07as well as the box office flop Connie and Carla.
03:11Vardalos wouldn't lead another movie until 2009 with My Life in Ruins and I Hate Valentine's Day,
03:17neither of which found success.
03:19In recent years, Vardalos tried capturing lightning in a bottle again with two My Big Fat Greek Wedding sequels.
03:26Oh, oh Jesus.
03:29See that?
03:30Neither could make even half of what the 2002 blockbuster grossed,
03:34while even Windex couldn't expunge the poor reviews.
03:38Number 27, Justin Timberlake.
03:40Although Britney Spears had her fair share of failed comebacks,
03:44fans have passionately rallied behind her over the past few years.
03:48Ironically, around the same time that Spears' career rebounded,
03:52Justin Timberlake started to flounder.
03:54So if I get jealous, I can't help it.
04:00Even before Spears opened up about their relationship in her memoir,
04:04Timberlake's newer music wasn't having the staying power as his earlier output.
04:08Most people had forgotten about Man of the Woods by the time Timberlake released his comeback album,
04:13Everything I Thought It Was,
04:15which received a middling response at best.
04:18Timberlake hit a new low shortly after being pulled over and arrested by a cop
04:30who reportedly didn't recognize him.
04:33It seemed like the definitive sign that maybe Timberlake wasn't as relevant as he was in the aughts.
04:37Number 26, Katy Perry.
04:41The 2010s were a roaring success for this pop star,
04:44although Left Shark might have been the peak.
04:53Katy Perry kicked off the 2020s with Smile, her first studio album in three years.
04:59Amid its mixed reception, Perry focused on raising her daughter and other ventures over the next few years.
05:06The 2024 album, 143, seemed poised to launch Perry back onto the music scene like a firework.
05:12It wound up being the biggest critical and commercial failure of her career.
05:16It didn't help that one of the album's producers was Dr. Luke,
05:28whose history of sexual misconduct allegations had returned to the public consciousness.
05:33The album itself was so dated and cliche that some question if AI made it.
05:38No, it was just bad.
05:40Number 25, Veronica Lake.
05:42Through films like Sullivan's Travels and I Married a Witch,
05:46audiences fell in love with this golden age starlet,
05:49even if collaborators found her difficult.
05:52Nice meeting you.
05:54Oh, would you like to leave now?
05:56Veronica Lake became instantly recognizable thanks to her iconic hairstyle,
06:01which she changed in the hour before the dawn.
06:04Lake suffered a tragic accident on that set, resulting in the loss of her baby.
06:08Shortly after, Lake endured a divorce and increased substance use.
06:13Meanwhile, her filmography throughout the remainder of the 40s proved hit and miss.
06:18Lake filed for bankruptcy in 1951, the same year she released Stronghold.
06:23That would be her last movie until 1966's Footsteps in the Snow,
06:28which sadly wasn't a comeback, not even seeing a U.S. release.
06:32It'd be Lake's penultimate film.
06:35Are you bitter about the way your career went?
06:37You've got to be joking.
06:39No, I'm not.
06:41No.
06:41You're not?
06:42No.
06:44Would you rather have done your life a different way if you had to?
06:46No.
06:47No.
06:47Wouldn't exchange it for anything in the world.
06:50Number 24, Edward Furlong.
06:53Hitting the ground running with Terminator 2,
06:55Edward Furlong's future on the big screen appeared bright.
06:58You're not here to kill me.
07:01I figured that part out for myself.
07:03So what's the deal?
07:05My mission is to protect you.
07:07Furlong saw further acclaim in films like American Heart and American History X.
07:12On the road to adulthood, though,
07:14Furlong unfortunately fell into the same traps as other former child stars.
07:18Despite substance issues, legal troubles, and career setbacks,
07:22Furlong's fans remained hopeful that a comeback was on the horizon.
07:26Furlong seemingly got his chance when news broke
07:29he'd be reprising his role as John Connor in Terminator Dark Fate.
07:32That future never happened, because I stopped it.
07:40To protect my son.
07:42It was a huge letdown when the film merely used Furlong's facial likeness,
07:46killing John off in the opening scene.
07:49It wasn't a comeback for Furlong nor the franchise,
07:52with Dark Fate being another box office dud.
07:55Number 23, Kevin Spacey.
07:58Accused of sexual misconduct in 2017,
08:01this Oscar-winning actor was fired from House of Cards
08:04while his scenes for All the Money in the World were reshot with Christopher Plummer.
08:08Everything has a price.
08:10The great struggle in life is coming to grips with what that price is.
08:17Although Kevin Spacey weathered through his court cases,
08:19the public made it clear that they weren't interested in a comeback.
08:23That hasn't stopped him from trying.
08:25The first cringy attempt was a 2018 Christmas Eve YouTube video reprising his Frank Underwood role.
08:32This became something of an annual tradition, like it or not.
08:36Spacey found work in films like Once Upon a Time in Croatia and Peter 5'8", which we doubt you've heard of.
08:42Even after he controversially accepted an award at Cannes in 2025,
08:47many feel like Spacey's comeback is all in his head.
08:51I accept my accountability.
08:54I think it's incredibly important.
08:57I am not going to be accountable for things I didn't do or that were exaggerated or greatly changed.
09:03But I absolutely believe that my role in it was my role in it.
09:07Number 22, Ezra Miller.
09:10Hollywood is somehow the most forgiving and unforgiving industry.
09:14Leading up to the release of 2023's The Flash,
09:17star Ezra Miller had left behind a trail of scandals that ranged from disturbing to just bizarre.
09:23Oh my God! Flash!
09:27Hi.
09:28I love you!
09:28Thank you. You seem very nice also.
09:31Oh my God!
09:31Regardless, if The Flash proved to be the summer blockbuster that Warner Brothers was hoping for,
09:36Miller's slate likely would have been wiped clean.
09:39While people knew Miller's erratic behavior offscreen and a growing superhero fatigue might hurt the film,
09:45few could imagine just how horrendously The Flash would crash and burn at the box office.
09:50Although Miller alone couldn't be blamed for the financial failure,
09:54it provided the extra incentive for Hollywood to cut the actor loose.
09:57There might not be a future if you don't come with me right now.
10:03Miller was recast in other projects, with their acting output significantly slowing down.
10:09Number 21, Bill Cosby.
10:11Many felt society had taken the ultimate step backward in 2021,
10:15when disgraced comedian Bill Cosby was prematurely released from prison,
10:20having only served about three years.
10:22Now a free man, Bill Cosby didn't stay long at his Pennsylvania home,
10:26leaving today to reunite with his wife.
10:29He would spend the next months with her.
10:31They haven't seen each other in almost three years.
10:34While the Pennsylvania Supreme Court had overturned Bill Cosby's conviction,
10:39that doesn't mean all was forgiven.
10:40In late 2022, word got out that Cosby was eyeing a return to stand-up,
10:46planning a comeback for the following year.
10:48People were aghast to realize this wasn't a parody headline,
10:52although Cosby's 2023 tour never materialized.
10:55Another year passed with no major career announcements from Cosby.
10:59Who knows what the future holds,
11:00but we think we can safely say that a Leonard Part 6 remake starring Kevin Hart
11:04has a better shot at happening than a Cosby comeback.
11:08Well, why not, dammit?
11:09I have my reasons.
11:11Number 20, Ray J.
11:13This rapper hit his peak in the mid-2000s.
11:16His fourth studio album, All I Feel, reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 chart,
11:21and its lead single, Sexy Can I, reached number 3 and went platinum.
11:26Sexy can I, just pardon my man.
11:28Every one of his subsequent singles have failed to chart on the Hot 100,
11:32with the exception of I Hit It First, which reached number 51 in 2013.
11:38The song makes reference to the adult film,
11:40Kim Kardashian's Superstar, featuring his ex and himself,
11:44and released in March of 2007.
11:46I, I, hop in the club and bop a show love,
11:49and I don't even put in words.
11:51The 2010s has seen Ray J. hosting Oxygen's Bad Girls All-Star Battle
11:56and competing on both My Kitchen Rules and Celebrity Big Brother.
12:00The latter stint only lasted a week,
12:02as he left the show after blacking out from tooth pain.
12:05I'm done with Vegas. I hate Vegas. Never again.
12:07Number 19, Dustin Diamond.
12:09Many child actors flounder after their big show has ended,
12:13and Dustin Diamond is one of them.
12:15Diamond famously played Screech on Saved by the Bell,
12:18which ran while Diamond was entering his teenage years.
12:22We are going to play a piece by Johann Sebastian Bach.
12:26A piece? Why can't we play the whole thing?
12:29He later reprised the role for The New Class,
12:31which ran until 2000 when Diamond was 23.
12:35And that was about it for him.
12:36He went on to direct an adult film titled Screeched Saved by the Smell
12:41and released a behind-the-scenes book called Behind the Bell,
12:44which was fiercely criticized and rejected by his co-stars.
12:48Looking back now, in my 30s, I realized that was really dumb.
12:52He attempted a comeback in 2013 by competing on Celebrity Big Brother,
12:56but a 2014 arrest and four-month prison sentence
13:00pretty much ended his career before he died in 2021.
13:03So I want to put the tomfoolery and malarkey behind me,
13:07you know, it's time for that clean slate.
13:09Number 18. Denise Richards
13:11This ex-fashion model was quite a big name in the late 90s and early 2000s.
13:17She starred in the likes of Starship Troopers and The World Is Not Enough
13:20before marrying Charlie Sheen.
13:22Are you here for a reason?
13:24Or are you just hoping for a glimmer?
13:26They were married from 2002 to 2006,
13:29and their messy divorce kept Richards in the spotlight.
13:32Despite some valiant efforts,
13:34Richards hasn't been able to reclaim her past glory.
13:37She has starred in many B-movies and a few short-lived TV shows,
13:42and for several years, she acted in the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
13:47No wonder he was looking for something better.
13:50The hell is wrong with you?
13:52Like many attempting a comeback, she's also transitioned into reality TV,
13:57joining the main cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
14:00I've never experienced this with you.
14:03Number 17. Sierra
14:04This R&B artist was huge throughout the 2000s and early 2010s,
14:09with four of her first five albums peaking in the top five.
14:13Her second, Sierra The Evolution, reached number one in 2006.
14:17Her singles also performed well.
14:20Goody's peaked at number one in 2004,
14:22and both 1-2 Step and O reached number two.
14:29Following Love, Sex, Magic in 2009,
14:32none of her singles have breached the top ten.
14:34She's remained in the spotlight thanks to public relationships with rapper Future
14:38and NFL player Russell Wilson,
14:41but her music career isn't what it once was.
14:43Her last two albums, Jackie and Beauty Marks, reached number 17 and number 87 respectively
14:49on the Billboard 200.
14:51Okay, I've got to change something up here.
14:53Number 16. Misha Barton
14:55Entertainment Weekly named Misha Barton the It Girl of 2003,
15:00owing to her work as Marissa Cooper on The O.C.
15:03The show ran for four seasons between 2003 and 2007.
15:07Barton starred in the first three before her character was killed off in the third season finale.
15:11Brian! Look out!
15:15Ever since then, Barton has struggled to retain her It Girl status.
15:20She's appeared in many independent films and competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2016.
15:25It's Pata Pata time!
15:27However, she was just the second person eliminated.
15:30She too eventually went the reality TV route
15:33and joined the cast of The Hill's New Beginnings in 2019.
15:36So I thought, okay, I'll take this seriously now and think about it.
15:40Number 15. Iggy Azalea
15:42This Australian singer burst onto the scene in history-making fashion.
15:47Literally.
15:48She became just the second artist in history to hold the top two spots on the Billboard Hot 100
15:53with their debut entries on the chart in 2014.
15:56The Beatles did it in 1964 with I Wanna Hold Your Hand and She Loves You
16:00and Azalea poetically matched it 50 years later with Fancy and Problem.
16:05And no time I'll be forgetting all about you.
16:07She was a guest artist on the latter, but the record still counted.
16:11Unfortunately, her star has since fallen from grace.
16:14In My Defense reached number 50, a far cry from the new classic's peak at number 3.
16:19Her last single to peak in the top 5 was Black Widow in 2014,
16:23with none of the singles from In My Defense even breaching the top 50.
16:27Like it'll last forever, but now forever ain't as long.
16:30Number 14. Sharon Stone
16:32The 90s belonged to Sharon Stone.
16:35She received one Academy Award and four Golden Globe nominations
16:39for Basic Instinct, Casino, The Mighty, and The Muse.
16:43Her role as Ginger in Casino was particularly acclaimed,
16:46as it won her the Golden Globe and earned Stone her only Oscar nomination.
16:51Basic Instinct also made her a national sex symbol,
16:54and by 1995, Stone had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
16:58If I was guilty and I wanted to beat that machine, it wouldn't be hard.
17:02Unfortunately, a string of disappointments followed in the 2000s,
17:06including Catwoman and the embarrassing Basic Instinct 2,
17:09which essentially killed her career for a decade.
17:12You know what I like about you?
17:13You enjoy being in control.
17:17Stone has attempted a comeback of sorts,
17:19appearing in The Disaster Artist and The Laundromat,
17:21but she has yet to recapture the magic.
17:23Pick me up! Pick me up!
17:25Do you just... I'd like to speak to you for a minute.
17:28Number 13. Ashley Simpson
17:30The younger sister of Jessica Simpson made some waves in the mid-2000s,
17:34with her albums Autobiography and I Am Me.
17:38Both reached number one on the Billboard 200,
17:40both were certified platinum, with Autobiography going three times platinum,
17:45and Pieces of Me proved a big hit, peaking at number five on the Hot 100.
17:50When I hit that bottom crash, you're all I am...
17:55Unfortunately, Simpson hasn't released any music as a solo artist since 2008,
18:00aside from a non-album single in 2012 that failed to chart.
18:04She's now part of a duo called Ashley and Evan with her husband Evan Ross,
18:08and they released an EP in 2018 that failed to generate much discussion.
18:12You're asking me if I trust you. I do, I do.
18:17They also launched an e-reality show, but that only lasted for six episodes.
18:22Basically, the solution was in front of me the whole time.
18:25Number 12. Fergie
18:27Like many on this list, Fergie was huge in the 2000s.
18:31She was obviously a big part of the Black Eyed Peas,
18:34but she also saw success as a solo artist with the Duchess.
18:37Released in 2006, the Duchess reached number two on the Billboard 200
18:41and was certified five times platinum.
18:44The album also spawned three number one singles,
18:47London Bridge, Glamorous, and Big Girls Don't Cry,
18:50and one number two with Fergalicious.
18:53Fergalicious definition, make them boys go loco.
18:56After about a decade away, aside from a song on the Great Gatsby soundtrack,
19:01Fergie returned with Double Duchess.
19:03It wasn't nearly as successful.
19:05It only reached number 19 and failed to generate any successful singles.
19:09The most successful, LA Love, La La, peaked at number 27.
19:18Number 11. Paris Hilton
19:20Despite coming from an uber-successful and unfathomably rich family,
19:24Paris Hilton made a name for herself through modeling and reality TV.
19:29Will you ever worry me like that again?
19:31She notably starred on The Simple Life alongside Nicole Richie from 2003 to 2007.
19:37While her dumb blonde, spoiled persona was obviously played up for the camera,
19:41the show made her insanely famous.
19:44Most of that fame came at her own expense, but she clearly didn't care.
19:47And while she's still making bank through her numerous business ventures today,
19:52Hilton's public spotlight has faded.
19:54She's dabbled in DJing in recent years,
19:56and went back to reality TV with Viceland's Hollywood love story.
20:01But that came and went.
20:02She was also the subject of a YouTube original documentary titled
20:05This Is Paris in 2020.
20:08I like animals more than people.
20:10Number 10. Vanilla Ice
20:12Vanilla Ice became a worldwide megastar with Ice Ice Baby.
20:16The song was an enormous hit,
20:18peaking at number one in eight different countries,
20:20including the United States and Zimbabwe.
20:23In fact, it made history by becoming the first hip-hop single
20:26to reach the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
20:28Check out the hook where my DJ revolves it.
20:30Ice, Ice, Ice, Ice.
20:32Ice took a break from music in 1993,
20:34but when he returned, his subsequent records received little fanfare.
20:38He did find success with his DIY network show,
20:42The Vanilla Ice Project,
20:43thanks to his experience in home improvement.
20:45Some people got no reason.
20:50In 2011, he released his comeback album, WTF,
20:54Wisdom, Tenacity, and Focus.
20:56It was not a success,
20:58and Vanilla Ice hasn't charted on the Hot 100 as a lead artist
21:01since Cool as Ice hit number 81 in 1991.
21:04Only in Vegas, baby.
21:06Number 9. Katherine Heigl
21:08Another big 2000s star,
21:10Katherine Heigl first gained some fame in 1999,
21:13starring as Isabel Evans on the WB's Roswell.
21:16She rode this role to greater success,
21:19including her Emmy-winning performance on Grey's Anatomy
21:21and movies like Knocked Up and 27 Dresses.
21:24No, I just don't.
21:25That time would prove the height of her career.
21:28She's since starred in many movies,
21:30but none of them were very popular or that good.
21:32Most of Heigl's work can be found on television.
21:35The mid-to-late 2010s saw her star in State of Affairs, Doubt, and Suits.
21:40The first two were canceled after just one season,
21:43and her role in Suits lasted two.
21:45I'm upset because if you have any issue with me,
21:47you should come to me and not go around me.
21:49Heigl is still receiving steady work,
21:52but the recent TV comeback fails to match her Grey's Anatomy heights.
21:55There is nothing to talk about, do you understand me?
21:59There is nothing to discuss.
22:02Number 8. Guns N' Roses
22:03This hard rock band was once one of the biggest in the world,
22:07with their first four studio albums reaching either number one or number two,
22:11and selling over 5 million copies each in the United States alone.
22:15Welcome to the jungle! We got fun and game!
22:19Things slowed down with 1993's The Spaghetti Incident,
22:22as it only reached number four, and ended the band's multi-platinum run.
22:27It would be 15 years until the band returned, and the results were underwhelming.
22:31On November 23rd, 2008, the world finally received Chinese Democracy,
22:37which received middling reviews and sold only 1 million copies.
22:41The long-awaited comeback was completely dead in the water.
22:44Luckily, both Slash and Duff McKagan saved the band
22:48by touring with Axl & Co. on the incredibly successful Not-In-This-Lifetime tour.
22:53Number 7. Lil' Kim
22:54This New York rapper got her start through the notorious B.I.G.
22:58by joining his group, Junior Mafia.
23:01This led to a highly successful solo career throughout the late 90s and 2000s,
23:06which included three top 10 albums.
23:092001 also saw her singing Lady Marmalade,
23:12the highly successful single for Moulin Rouge.
23:14But like Guns N' Roses, Lil' Kim took a major hiatus.
23:19There was a 14-year break between 2005's The Naked Truth and 2019's Nine,
23:24and the wait was not really worth it, according to most accounts.
23:28The album received mixed reviews from critics and performed poorly,
23:32failing to land on any major charts or generate any notable singles.
23:37Number 6. Tara Reid
23:39This American actress had quite a respectable movie career
23:42throughout the late 90s and early 2000s.
23:45She appeared as Bunny in The Big Lebowski
23:47and went on to star as Vicky in the American Pie franchise.
23:51I've had one.
23:53No.
23:53I think.
23:54Rounding out her filmography were works like
23:56Josie and the Pussycats, My Boss's Daughter, Van Wilder,
24:00and a stint on Scrubs.
24:02Something happened around 2005, and Reid just disappeared.
24:06You know, you should always try to go to the bathroom
24:08before you leave the house, even if you don't have to, because...
24:10Not completely, as she was still in things,
24:13but the hits had certainly dried up.
24:16Reid then tried her hand at reality TV,
24:18including Celebrity Big Brother and her own show,
24:21Terradice, before settling on the B-movie-turned-cult-sharknado series.
24:29Number 5. Ellen DeGeneres
24:32There was once a time when Ellen DeGeneres was the biggest name in entertainment.
24:36Her historic coming out as a lesbian both paved trails and ignited controversy,
24:41and her follow-up talk show proved enormously successful.
24:44And what are you just getting this?
24:46While coming out nearly tanked her career,
24:48it was the talk show that ultimately did.
24:51In 2020, BuzzFeed reported through anonymous employees
24:54that working for Ellen was akin to hell on earth,
24:57complete with harassment and racist comments.
24:59Just one question. Just what else does he want?
25:03I don't know what you're telling him, but just ask him what I'm saying.
25:06Okay, sorry.
25:07While her show wasn't canceled,
25:09the 18th season premiere faced significant backlash.
25:13Outlets criticized her opening monologue,
25:15and the YouTube video's like-to-dislike ratio skews heavily towards the latter.
25:19The next season would ultimately be the talk show's last.
25:23It's all love. That's all that's real is love.
25:26That's the truth.
25:27Number 4. Ja Rule
25:29This rapper released a string of successful albums throughout the late 90s and early 2000s,
25:34six of which peaked within the top 10 on the Billboard 200.
25:37These include Rule 336 and Pain Is Love, both of which reached number one,
25:43and both of which were certified multi-platinum.
25:46However, Ja Rule has subsequently faced numerous legal issues throughout his career,
25:50including a two-year prison sentence in 2010,
25:53and another 28-month sentence the following year.
25:55Here I am in a bad situation 10 years later after all the things that I've done,
26:00all the success that I've had.
26:01He was released in 2013, and just three years later, started the infamous Fire Media Inc.
26:07It could have been a huge business and public comeback,
26:10but the Fire Festival proved so disastrous that he faced a $100 million class action lawsuit instead.
26:17Biggest misconception about your involvement in Fire Festival is that I committed a crime.
26:24Number 3. Charlie Sheen
26:26By 2010, Two and a Half Men was proving so popular that Charlie Sheen was earning nearly $2 million per episode.
26:34However, his personal life wasn't nearly as triumphant.
26:37Sheen was well known for his substance abuse and reckless behavior,
26:40especially with the latter allegedly aimed towards his then-wife, Brooke Muller,
26:44and the trashing of a hotel suite.
26:47Oh, gee, Charlie, that may not be the best idea.
26:50I don't recall asking for your opinion.
26:51He was eventually dismissed from Two and a Half Men,
26:54and while the resulting press put him in the news,
26:56the termination effectively killed his career.
26:59Sheen attempted a comeback with roles in Scary Movie 5 and a show called Anger Management,
27:03and while the latter ran for 100 episodes, it received poor reviews.
27:07The comeback was a fail, and Sheen hasn't been seen in movies or TV since 2017.
27:13All right, let's just put this whole damn thing behind us.
27:16May the filth be with you.
27:17Number 2. Lindsay Lohan
27:19There once was a time when Lindsay Lohan was a promising and ambitious actress.
27:24So cute.
27:27I mean, um, A sub N equals N plus 1 over 4.
27:31But her life and career hit unexpected road bumps in the mid-2000s,
27:35and Lohan went through a highly publicized downward spiral filled with bad press,
27:40substance abuse, and both rehab and prison stints.
27:432019's Among the Shadows proved her first feature-length movie in six years,
27:48although it was only released through video on demand and received little attention.
27:53She also launched her own reality show on MTV called Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club,
27:57but it was canceled after just one season.
27:59And that's important. It was like a wake-up call.
28:02Her comeback efforts are nevertheless valiant,
28:05finding some success playing Katerina West in the second season of Sky 1's Sick Note,
28:11and headlining a few Netflix movies.

28:31Number 1. Roseanne Barr
28:32Few comebacks have crashed and burned like this one.
28:36Barr's sitcom Roseanne was a huge hit throughout the 90s,
28:39remaining a top-four show for six of its nine seasons.
28:42I've got a life too, you know. It's not like I don't have nothing to do.
28:45I'm sorry. What do you want me to do? Throw myself up?
28:47It came to a controversial end in 1997 with a divisive series finale.
28:52Luckily for fans, it was revived by ABC and brought back for a 10th season in 2018.
28:58It was actually a huge success, with the premiere episode generating nearly 20 million viewers.
29:04What happened?
29:05I thought you were dead.
29:06It lasted all of two months.
29:08Barr made a racist comment on Twitter, which she proceeded to blame on Ambien.
29:13The show was immediately cancelled amidst the controversy, as was Barr herself.
29:18She once again faded into irrelevancy, and everyone else moved on to the Conners without her.
29:23I thought the bitch was white! God damn it!
29:28Which celebrity comeback do you think could have gone better? Let us know in the comments.
29:33Everyone who stops me every single day is so generous and happy to see me, and if there's a theme to any of our conversations, it's, when are you getting back to work?
29:44Like, yes!
30:02Or for you guys are on the前 here, I was looking for a song.
