00:00Welcome to Miss Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the five most obvious celebrities that should get a star, and the five who can't be bothered to accept one.
00:155. Deserves – Lisa Kudrow As one of the three central women on Friends, Lisa Kudrow provided fans with plenty to celebrate. Her character Phoebe earned hearty laughs throughout the entire run.
00:36I don't need you or anybody else! I'm gonna make it on my own! You'll see! You'll all see!
00:45From Smelly Cat to any number of running gags, the actress played one of the show's quirkiest and most entertaining roles. It's only fitting that she'd be recognized for her integral role on the sitcom.
00:56Given that Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox have stars, you'd think it would be more than fair to reward Kudrow as well.
01:14There's also her many awesome roles outside of TV to recognize such as Romy and Michelle's high school reunion.
01:21We have come all this way! Now we are going to enjoy ourselves whether you like it or not!
01:26God, Michelle, I've never seen this side of your personality before. You're so bossy and domineering. I like it. Me too!
01:375. Don't Want One – Clint Eastwood
01:41Across television and cinema, Clint Eastwood has left his mark. His iconic status stretches from the man with no name to his work as Dirty Harry in the long-running series.
01:51You've got to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do you, punk?
01:57Eastwood's directing career has been equally esteemed with Oscar-winning work for movies like Unforgiven. By the 2000s, he was arguably a living legend and definitely earned a potential star.
02:09The only thing is that Eastwood doesn't seem all that interested.
02:12Don't argue with me. That's the only way we're doing it. I teach you all you need to know and then you go off and you make a million dollars. I don't care.
02:19Walk of Fame officials have offered him one, but the icon remains silent on the decision. He never seemed to be the kind of guy to rest on his laurels, choosing instead to make films into his 90s.
02:30Most directors will say, well, let's get a safety. I hate that. I hate getting safeties. And he is so confident, he just goes with it. We got it. Move on. I love that.
02:41It's his 42nd movie as a director. No one has said it's his last.
02:46Number four deserves George Lucas. With the Star Wars series alone, George Lucas has become one of the more successful men in movie history.
02:54What I was trying to do is stay independent so I could make the movies I wanted to make. But at the same time, I was sort of fighting the corporate system, which I didn't like. And I'm not happy with the fact that corporations have taken over the film industry. But now I found myself being the head of a corporation. So there's a certain irony there.
03:12His work as a director, producer, and storyteller helped to shape countless dreamers. There's also his contributions to innovations in filmmaking techniques such as sound and special effects. Did we also mention that he helped create the Indiana Jones franchise?
03:27We were in Hawaii and Stephen was there and he was saying that how he, what he really wanted to do was a James Bond film. And I said, oh, well, I've got a great idea because this is much better than a James Bond film.
03:38And so I told him the story of Indiana Jones and he said, oh, that's it. Let's do it. And that was really where it started.
03:43Lucas clearly earned his star decades ago, but there's no word on whether or not he'll go for it. It probably doesn't matter that much to him, considering all of the money and influence he has. He's not the only sci-fi legend to be snubbed either.
03:56With James Earl Jones also missing the honor too.
04:00I find your lack of faith disturbing.
04:03Enough of this. Vader, release him.
04:06As you wish.
04:08Number four, don't want one. Prince.
04:11So what seems to be the problem?
04:14Oh, how rude of me. I haven't given you enough time to freak out yet.
04:20You may do so now.
04:22Oh, my God.
04:26Among the most talented people of the 20th century, Prince Rogers Nelson helped to redefine music in the 1980s.
04:33His status as a pop culture icon is undisputed.
04:36However, the man did not want to star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
04:40I kind of did what I wanted to do. I wanted my music as even now to speak loudest for me.
04:47He reportedly declined the invitation and died before ever receiving one in person.
04:52The artist earned plenty of praise and awards during his own lifetime, but this honor doesn't seem to be among the ones that he cared about.
04:59With his death in 2016, we'll never know whether or not the performer ever changed his mind.
05:05It looks like fans might be getting their wish, as there's a more recent plan for him to get a star.
05:11I can't die the way. So, baby, I'm a...
05:17Number 3 Deserves – Beyonce
05:19Those petty ones can't touch me.
05:21Why?
05:22Cause I'm a clever girl.
05:24We clapping.
05:27We drumming.
05:28She does have a star as part of Destiny's Child, but Beyonce has done plenty to earn her own spot on the Walk of Fame.
05:34Her tremendous solo career spans impressive work alongside Jay-Z and beyond.
05:40From I Am Sasha Fierce to Lemonade, the artist has clearly shown that she's a force to be reckoned with across many albums.
05:47You could also argue that she has more important priorities, like global tours and new music.
06:01Her Grammys for a country-inspired album are just her latest success, making her an obvious choice to join other celebs on Hollywood Boulevard.
06:09Number 3 Don't Want One – Madonna
06:32Back in the 1980s, Madonna conquered pop music and became an all-around superstar.
06:37She has since sold many hit records, topped the charts, and toured the globe many times over.
06:43The artist also turned down the opportunity to be enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
06:54Reportedly in the 1990s, the singer declined a chance to be a part of history.
06:58It doesn't seem to be one of her main goals, and she's since achieved so much elsewhere.
07:03Considering her impact on popular culture and music, the performer earned the prestigious honor many times over.
07:17Number 2 deserves Robert Downey Jr.
07:21Lab's all set up, boss.
07:22Oh, actually, he's the boss.
07:23I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler.
07:27With his role in Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. blasted back into the Hollywood A-Lists.
07:33His work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe reminded everyone of his status as a beloved and entertaining screen presence.
07:40This and a host of other great roles seemingly guaranteed him a spot on the Walk of Fame.
07:45Downey even joked about stealing Chris Hemsworth's star, but he never got one himself.
07:50He's not without his own honors, of course.
07:58He has the other rare honor of having his hand and footprints outside the TCL Chinese Theater.
08:03Given his recent status as an Oscar winner, it's even more crazy to imagine him without a star.
08:09Amateurs seek the sun, get eaten, power stays in the shadows.
08:17But sir, you're out of the shadows now.
08:20Yeah, that's why this has to work.
08:22Number 2 Don't Want One
08:24Oprah Winfrey
08:25Given her dominance on television, Oprah Winfrey might as well be a gold standard for entertainment.
08:32Her multi-decade run as a talk show host set the bar high for her contemporaries.
08:36What I've always tried my best to do, whether on television or through film, is to say something about how men and women really behave.
08:48To say how we experience shame, how we love and how we rage, how we fail, how we retreat, persevere.
08:58You might find yourself on the Walk of Fame wondering where her star might be.
09:02The presenter was selected as an honoree back in the early 2010s, but no ceremony ended up going forward.
09:22It's not like she hasn't been busy either.
09:25Her work as a philanthropist became a large part of her life, but she also has a TV channel.
09:30It just goes to show that even some of the most accomplished people in history don't mind skipping the prize.
09:36Let's just start small.
09:37Let's not do the big publicity.
09:39Let's just kind of come on the air and sort of build it.
09:41Next thing I know, I'm talking to the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
09:44I want nothing small about that.
09:45Number 1 Deserves
09:47Leonardo DiCaprio
09:49Among the most acclaimed performers of his generation,
09:53Leonardo DiCaprio wowed audiences with his versatile roles.
09:57He got audiences talking in Titanic and later became one of the most revered leading men of the 2000s.
10:03Johnny, you're a press agent, are you not?
10:07Yeah.
10:07I mean, you're supposed to know all the little ins and outs of Hollywood?
10:09Yeah, absolutely.
10:10Do you?
10:11Yeah, absolutely.
10:12Then you leave the big ideas to me.
10:16After many years of being snubbed, the actor won an Oscar for his transformative performance in The Revenant.
10:22All the while, he hasn't appeared as an official member of the Walk of Fame.
10:27Gentlemen, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.
10:32Some might attribute this status as an attempt to avoid the spotlight.
10:37Sometimes known for being shy, DiCaprio seems to prefer promoting his projects rather than himself.
10:43This could be one of the many factors as to why he hasn't joined the revered list of honorees.
10:48I probably could be you. Yeah. Yeah, I know that much.
10:53But I don't want to be you, Frank.
10:57I don't want to be you.
11:00Heavy lies the crown.
11:04Sort of thing.

11:21Number one, don't want one.
11:23Julia Roberts.
11:24From Pretty Woman to Ocean's Eleven, she's an icon with both box office success and awards.
11:40The Oscar winner for Erin Brockovich does not have a star, though.
11:44Roberts apparently wants nothing to do with the honor, having allegedly avoided recognition for many years.
11:50She's worked with many other nominees, and she would easily fit right alongside them.
11:55Done all I can do here, I'm going for a walk.
11:58Because that's, you know, leaving.
11:59It's just something that I've really perfected.
12:02And so, once more, let's do it.
12:05The actress was nominated for inclusion in 2019,
12:08but there's been no word on her actually accepting the prize.
12:12As it turns out, this particular celebrity wants to focus on her work
12:16and not have her name be on the famed sidewalk.
12:18Fine. Good decision.
12:20Good decision.
12:26The fame thing isn't really real, you know.
12:30Did we forget another celebrity that should have a star?

12:58You are a dibujar.
13:00Shall we?
