The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent on Monday a letter to the leaders of the world to request the holding of an urgent international summit to immediately address the growing conflict in the Middle East, following the incessant bombings between Iran and Israel. In the document, read by Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, Maduro indicates that the primary objective of this summit is to promote an immediate and total ceasefire in West Asia, and to work for the construction of a peaceful and political solution to the conflict that could escalate into an unprecedented nuclear war on the planet
