The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent on Monday a letter to the leaders of the world to request the holding of an urgent international summit to immediately address the growing conflict in the Middle East, following the incessant bombings between Iran and Israel. In the document, read by Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, Maduro indicates that the primary objective of this summit is to promote an immediate and total ceasefire in West Asia, and to work for the construction of a peaceful and political solution to the conflict that could escalate into an unprecedented nuclear war on the planet

02:08And how the non-fulfillment of the UN Charter and trade agreements and international conventions that regulate the use, the peaceful use,

04:21collective security and undermines the multilateral systems in the face of this
04:27scenario Venezuela makes an urgent call so that organizations of the global south
04:34including the movement of non-aligned countries the League of Arab states the
04:43Islamic cooperation organization the African Union BRICS SELAC and other regional
04:52instances to promote together a ceasefire an immediate ceasefire in eastern Asia
05:02this call for an end of facilities must constitute the first step towards a
05:10political solution built from dialogue legality and sovereign respect among states
05:19urgently I propose very respectfully a peace summit to face the growing dangers of a conflict that
05:39could bring humanity to the edge of a nuclear war we should be held as soon as possible in a country of
05:49region with the end to make sure that the most directly involved actors
05:58participate in the summit this summit we believe that should be led
06:05collectively by the Arab League the organization the Islamic cooperation
06:10organization Gulf cooperation and BRICS with the commitment of global powers for
06:17peace as the Republic of China and the Russian Federation counting with the full part participation
06:26of South of southern nations that are committed with multilateralism and peace
06:32likewise as part of the commitment that the summit should search for we pro we propose to promote and
06:41advance in the creation of an area free of nuclear weapons in eastern Asia and demand the UN Security Council a

08:52state with each Jerusalem as its capital and the return of its refugees

09:12sovereign equality among nations can guarantee a true peace in Eastern Asia we trust that this call is
