00:05really missed was the fact that the red sox were scheduled to play the san francisco giants the

00:11following weekend talk about some harmonious timing if you will so how did ralphie perform

00:18against his former team in boston overall this weekend two of 12 a homer two rbis recorded a walk

00:26that's interesting to see rafi in the orange of san francisco and three k's the giants did win the

00:31series against the socks taking two of three he played dh in all three games he will soon make

00:39the move they say to first base for san francisco and he did homer in saturday's game against the

00:46socks as well yeah good performance there why because he was probably a little bit nervous got

00:51the home run got a couple rbi got that out of the way now he can sort of decompress get used to being

00:55in the bay area here new living conditions new teammates new ways to the ballpark you get all

00:59that he'll eventually settle and he's a great hitter but again when that news broke on that sunday night

01:08interesting and then the rafael devers situation came down here's what i loved about it too because

01:12it feels like it was you know unanimous as a you know twitter society out here saying you know what

01:16this is a ridiculous trade for the boston red sox you have a team that's worth a ton of money that

01:21should not just be cutting salary cap space because they feel that's what's best for the

01:25organization you should be adding on you should still have mookie betts you should still have

01:28xander bogarts on your team you should have rafael devers and all that young talent that you have

01:32in that franchise with the ability to pay everybody because it's the boston market at this point and

01:37sometimes ben we get these remember these trades like let's just equate it to the nfl it's like

01:41man carolina got one over on the 49ers man mcafree what a steal yeah steal for the 49ers if you have a

01:49legitimate major league baseball talent that's shown he's proven to be one of the best players

01:54in the league you should not be trading him because you got a couple prospects back which

01:59probably 75 percent of the time don't even make it to the majors here and if they do make it to the

02:03majors are very average you get two average pitchers two randos here coming up here in uh you know the

02:09minor league system and yet the san francisco giants who have money to spend and nobody would take it

02:13they go you know what let's go actually the trade route here we'll spend a lot of money we'll spend a

02:17little bit of capital give away a couple pictures who probably are meaningless in our future and get

02:21raphael devers a massive massive win for the giants and a complete loser for the boston red sox
