00:26マツモトタツヤ!
00:56We'll continue to be a day.
00:58Our main events tonight, a pair of them.
01:01A pair of qualifying play-in matches to be a part of G1 Climax 35.
01:07Taichi and Callum Neumann will be our main event.
01:09And Tomohiro Ishii and Joella Maloney will also be battling for a spot in the tournament of tournaments.
01:16And beyond that, a major, major signing for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
01:21We'll give you the details if you go further into the background,
01:25and further into the program here on New Japan World.
01:29Tight there, nice and snug, and nice takedown.
01:33And we'll continue jockeying for positions.
01:36Zane-Jay, of course, as we take a look at Matsumoto there.
01:40There's Zane-Jay.
01:42Came from the NJPW Academy in L.A.
01:45Started in the beginners class, worked his way up to the advanced.
01:49Had a couple of trips studying and training in the Nogue Dojo.
01:53Finally made his debut just last week.
01:56And that has certainly been very, very impressive.
02:00As has Matsumoto, who, a combination of roles there, now works his way into an armbar and taken down.
02:08That was Zane-Jay.
02:10Matsumoto, near to my heart, Yokohama boy.
02:13And wrestled amateur as well as grappled through high school and then worked as a personal trainer.
02:22So a little bit later into the dojo, age 24 making his debut.
02:27And Zane-Jay at 27 has, of course, debuted in the U.S.
02:31So this is his first tour of wrestling in Japan.
02:35Nice move there by Zane-Jay.
02:37Fake Matsumoto out.
02:39And Matsumoto thinking he might have gone for a Boston Crab.
02:42Instead, looking for a new bar.
02:44Matsumoto stands straight up.
02:45Turns it aside.
02:46Gets one.
02:47And he likes to use a double wrist lock.
02:49Has used that hold a number of times in these first three matchups.
02:56Plus four, in fact, were non-televised just yesterday.
03:01And three televised matchups.
03:04Each has gone to the 10-minute time limit.
03:08And that is something that is probably the likely result here tonight as well.
03:16Has been the case for Daiki Nagai and Yasuda as well.
03:23And we'll see them in our second kickoff match today.
03:27Very, very often Young Lions get 10 minutes and they just cannot get it done inside 10.
03:32And when they get the magic five more minutes, then those wins start to come faster.
03:37And we'll talk about it when Yasuda, Yasuda wrestles Daiki Nagai in our second of our two kickoff matches.
03:44We've got a lot to talk about as we go further into the action of New Japan Soul here tonight.
03:51Including build-ups for the rest of this Soul Tour.
03:55Interesting looks into future title matches.
03:59Tokyo Budokan from Gabe Kidd and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
04:02That's coming up July 4th.
04:04And we do not have a card just yet for the tour closer on July the 6th.
04:09And we also talk about a special pay-per-view presentation coming up tomorrow in Death Pain Invitational.
04:16We'll give you the details on that as we get our broadcast officially underway.
04:21Look, you see here, Natsumoto getting the full mount and really does like to work the armors.
04:28Like to use a double wrist slot.
04:31Wants to work for an arm bar here.
04:33Zane-J's not going to give it to him.
04:36I would say in general, Zane-J has a big variety of different sports that he is competing in.
04:43He has wrestled and has also competed in American football, rugby.
04:47Really...
04:48Oh!
04:49I would say I would give the edge in terms of grappling to Matsumoto.
04:56And we're also seeing how good his chops are here.
05:00And you see just etched on the face the pain and the frustration of Zane-J.
05:06But he wants to get some get-back as soon as he can get to a vertical base.
05:11Matsumoto not going to let him.
05:12And a nice transition there.
05:14You can see that?
05:16Yeah, nice.
05:17Back to that knee bar.
05:18So many other young lions very, very often.
05:22And a lot of the in-betweens a little bit lost on a lot of young wrestlers at this stage of their career,
05:29at this stage of experience.
05:30Well, look to their go-to's.
05:33Look for a half crab or a full Boston crab.
05:37Zane-J.
05:38More Matsumoto.
05:39Not really thinking about that right now.
05:41Instead of a lot of different options.
05:43And Matsumoto a nice counter there.
05:48That knee bar of his own.
05:50And nicely up to a vertical base.
05:52Grabs a side headlock, does Zane-J.
05:54Really impressed by both of these young men.
05:57Four matches into his career period for Matsumoto.
06:02Four matches into his Japanese career for Zane-J.
06:05But just how good they are at the little bits and the in-betweens.
06:08That shows how well-trained.
06:11Shoulders down there gets one.
06:12How well-trained and developed the NJPW Academy can get you.
06:18Academy sign-ups now open to be part of the full intake.
06:22And also, coming up later this month, if you look at the details, NJPW1972.com.
06:28A special seminar open to any wrestler.
06:31By Kishido will be leading a special two-day seminar.
06:34And one participant will be lucky enough to get treated to a full scholarship on us.
06:39And you want to take full advantage of that training opportunity.
06:43Minoua Matsumoto taking full advantage now.
06:47That wakigatame, as they call it.
06:50And Zane-J rolls through and makes it to the ropes.
06:55And Matsumoto, look at that.
06:57There's no delay.
06:58There's no thinking.
06:59Oh, what do I need to do next?
07:01What do I need to do next?
07:02What do I need to do next?
07:03Straight onto that arm.
07:04That's really, really great aggression.
07:06Great thinking there by the young man.
07:08The 24-year-old Adi Yokohama.
07:10Everything.
07:11Everything to the arm, the shoulder, the elbow.
07:14Very, very competent and very aggressive work from Matsumoto.
07:21There you go again.
07:22And this time he might look to Amlock that arm.
07:25Get that double wrist lock.
07:26Trying to get the arm behind the back of Zane-J.
07:30Great defense.
07:32Reverse angle, you're not quite seeing it.
07:34You got a pre-flip there.
07:36Well, the butchless grip Zane-J had on and now he has lost.
07:40And again, long legs, good ring awareness.
07:45And made it to the bottom rope.
07:47Zane-J was the NJPW's strong survivor.
07:52Won that designation from Matt Vandergriff in December.
07:56And held that until the spring.
07:58Relinquished it.
08:00In order to come and compete in Japan.
08:03On the highest stage.
08:05And Matsumoto.
08:08Well, I wouldn't say he's going to ever regret that decision with Zane-J.
08:13But for a second at least, Matsumoto making Zane-J rethink it.
08:18Again, Maiki Gathe in Japanese translates to the armpit.
08:25Hold.
08:26But it is.
08:28The Futuora style arm bar.
08:31And look at Matsumoto there.
08:33He was thinking about other options.
08:35He was thinking about trying to tie up the arm with Zane-J.
08:38The other arm.
08:39Thought better of it.
08:40And then Zane used his right arm to get to the ropes.
08:44And now a little bit of aggression.
08:46Want Zane-J to get to his feet.
08:48We've got two minutes left.
08:50And certainly if you're scoring this on points, you would give it to Matsumoto.
08:56And while you're looking, you can see in the eyes of Zane-J just how livid he is.
09:06And just how frustrating it can be.
09:09You're angry.
09:10You're furious.
09:11You want to get some of your opponent.
09:14But your body's not letting it.
09:16And Matsumoto is not letting your body let it.
09:19Oh, but there he goes.
09:21An unshakable will.
09:22Short range.
09:23Drop kick.
09:24No-3-Mari Asami asking Zane if he can continue.
09:32Zane nods in a sense.
09:34And now finally a little bit of an opening for Zane-J.
09:37But we've got less than two minutes left.
09:39And Matsumoto again to the arm.
09:42Zane using the good arm to try and strike.
09:47And Matsumoto.
09:49And they're going to stand and trade.
09:52And maybe if Matsumoto went back down to the mat again, he might have a submission win on his hands.
10:00Pride of the Young Lions.
10:01And all of that ill will gets built up in the dojo.
10:04Continuing here is a J up high.
10:08That is on the money.
10:10That drop kick is on the money and all of a sudden the tide has turned to this one.
10:15And now the Boston Crab.
10:17Now the Boston Crab.
10:18And the question is, is there enough on the arm, the left arm, to maintain this grip?
10:25The squat is deep and true.
10:27The pressure is there.
10:28You see it on Matsumoto.
10:30With 20 seconds left.
10:32With the grip weakened early on.
10:35Can Matsumoto survive?
10:38The tusks getting in there.
10:42Getting in there.
10:43But we've got less than 10 seconds now.
10:46Matsumoto pushing up.
10:51St. Jerry looking to the ceiling and the time has expired.
10:57And it's a case of, well, another pair of products from the best training system in the entire world of professional wrestling.
11:13And look where they are.
11:16Just a handful more experience for Zane J, but only four matches deep in Matsumoto's career.
11:23And both of these young men have showed up and shown out.
11:27And they will keep on going at it.
11:29I'm sure other cards still to be the announced on the New Japan Soul series.
11:35They'll keep going.
11:36And they'll keep going for another 10 minutes and another 10 and another 10.
11:40And they'll probably draw over and over and over again.
11:45These two will be tied together as rivals for a long, long time.
11:53One half of our special kickoff underway.
12:00And we will have one more kickoff match for you.
12:06Before we get into the main club poppy here in New Japan Soul.
12:12All right.
12:29ありがとうございました
