00:00Evening. It's a bit of a messy mixture with the weather at the moment. That's likely to continue actually for much of the rest of this week.
00:07Whereas last week the weather was generally coming up from the south, this week the weather's more coming in from the west, from the Atlantic.
00:13It's been quite a fresh Monday with a brisk wind and that wind's now channeling in some outbreaks of rain across Northern Ireland.
00:20By morning time some of that rain arriving across Western Scotland, North West England and North Wales.
00:25Some of it could be quite heavy as well, especially over the hills. Much of the east, much of the south will stay dry.
00:31Temperatures mostly holding up in the mid-teens for England and Wales. 12 or 13 in towns and cities across Scotland.
00:39Still quite windy. It's been quite a blustery day across the north through Monday and staying quite lively.
00:45Those breezes during Tuesday. Quite a wet start for Western Scotland, North West England and North Wales.
00:51That rain will try and work its way eastwards, but kind of fizzling out as it does so.
00:56So with some help of the Pennines, much of North East England will just be fairly cloudy and not see too much rain at all.
01:03Patchy rain is possible for a time over the Midlands, South Wales, South West England, but again, tending to fizzle out.
01:08So much of the south will stay dry.
01:10The rain should clear away from Northern Ireland by lunchtime and brighter skies also through the afternoon across Scotland.
01:15A continued risk of some showers across the highlands.
01:19If it brightens up further south, East Wales, the Midlands, parts of East Anglia, the South East, really feeling quite warm and humid, I suspect.
01:2625 easily, a bit of sunshine. Could see those temperatures ticking up a degree or so higher.
01:30Quite a humid feel in this cloudier zone over Northern England and North Wales too.
01:36A little fresher come the afternoon across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:39As we go through Tuesday evening, that zone of cloudier weather with some patchy rain just trickles south.
01:45So you could see a little bit of rain arriving over the Midlands, perhaps into parts of South Wales.
01:49But again, much of Southern England likely to stay dry.
01:53And that's where the warm air persists.
01:55So quite a warm and humid night here.
01:57Temperatures in urban areas perhaps holding up at 15 or 16 Celsius.
02:01A little more comfortable further north.
02:03Now, Wednesday is by and large a dry day.
02:06How much cloud we see?
02:08Well, that's the big question mark.
02:09Likely to be a cloudier zone over the Midlands.
02:12South Wales may still see some outbreaks of rain here, particularly across southwest Wales.
02:18A few showers continue in the far northwest of Scotland.
02:21You'd shower elsewhere in the west.
02:22But I suspect many places having a dry day on Wednesday.
02:26Certainly a lot drier for northwest England and north Wales compared to Tuesday.
02:29And where we see some sunshine in the south.
02:32Well, temperature's really getting up.
02:3326, maybe 27, 28 is possible because the humidity will be building here.
02:38And look at this.
02:39Just the threat of some heavy, thundery showers.
02:42They may drift up during Wednesday afternoon and into the evening.
02:46So that's something we need to watch as this plume of warm and humid air wafts up from France.
02:52Especially across east Anglia in the southeast.
02:53The potential for some lively thunderstorms during Wednesday evening and into the first part of Thursday.
03:01So that's something we're keeping a close eye on.
03:04Aidan will have more on that in our week ahead forecast.
