00:00It's another exciting one from Lagos and today I'll be meeting Jare Ijalana who was voted the
00:18most beautiful girl in the world in 2018. Jare who is now eight years old is still glowing and
00:24remains one of the most beautiful girls on the planet. She's a lovely girl with big dreams.
00:31I'm Angel and honestly I have to confess I can't wait to meet this gorgeous goddess one-on-one.
00:44How has your journey been like after being dubbed the most beautiful girl in the world?
00:50It has been awesome. I have had opportunities to travel to places like Dubai, United Kingdom and Ghana.
00:59What does beauty mean to you? Beauty is being kind. It's not just the way you look or how your face is,
01:06it's about inside your heart, how you feel inside. Jare has made a mark as a child model. Although,
01:14her career as a model was disrupted by the COVID-19 lockdown. She has been able to participate in some
01:22fashion shows including the London Fashion Week. How do you use your beauty to unmute?
01:27I'm going to launch my initiative January for less privilege and sexually abused children.
01:38Why do you want to help children? Why do you want to help children? I want to help children because my mom's
01:45teaching and does seminars about sexually abused children. So I would like to take after my mom.
01:52Beauty runs in Jare's family. She has two other sisters. What does it feel like being the mother to three
02:00beautiful girls? I'm just a mother to three girls. You know the beauty and it's not really something
02:07too hard to eat. For every mother, you're a mother to your child and that's what I am to my girls.
02:13How do you manage their fame? So when it now comes to the issue of fame, I don't allow it to get into
02:18their head and we try as much as possible to balance things and make them understand one or two things.
02:26Luckily for me, we've always have this close-knitted family and it has helped us a lot from the
02:34their tender age. From being told to the graduate process, I've always been with them. I've never
02:45been missing. So when the fame came in, all I just had to do was manage one or two things.
02:50What was it like to you as a mother when Jare was named the most beautiful girl in the world?
02:55Jare is using her beauty to promote her passion for good health. She is a mental health campaigner
03:08and aspires to become a medical doctor in the future. She believes she will be able to shuttle
03:14between the hospital ward and major fashion events while displaying her beauty. We wish
03:20the best of luck. Much love from Lagos. I am Angel Olinichi Onigre.
