00:00They could not wait for two weeks. So I don't think there's any real surprise that the attack
00:04happened. If the damage assessment is that the damage is only superficial, then they might need
00:11to go and bomb the place again. Can they simply go back to the table after this attack? Or will
00:18they say that no, we will now take revenge? I don't know if anybody even takes the UN Secretary
00:25General seriously anymore. Look, it will impact India. I don't think we can say it won't impact
00:30India. It was being expected that the Americans are going to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities.
00:40The thing is that Donald Trump had earlier made a statement that he will take until two weeks.
00:46Now, you know, many people thought that if America will do something, it'll do after two weeks.
00:52But I think it was becoming very clear that given the way the buildup was taking place,
00:57that the attack would happen. They could not wait for two weeks. So I don't think there's any real
01:04surprise that the attack happened. The question is one, how much damage has it actually done?
01:10There are some reports which say that from one or two of those plants, a lot of the material had
01:17already been shifted out. Now, if that is the case, then how much damage has actually been done to the
01:23facilities really? Number two, if the damage assessment is that the damage is only superficial,
01:33then they might need to go and bomb the place again. So we don't know about that.
01:38From what we have learned is that the Americans have offered to the Iranians to enter into new negotiations
01:47and they have said that this is only a one-off strike. But then the call is for the Iranians.
01:56Can they simply go back to the table after this attack? Or will they say that, no, we will now take revenge?
02:04Now, if they take revenge, what can the Iranians do? Will they only keep striking at Israel?
02:09Or will they attack American targets? If they attack American targets, where will they attack
02:15American targets? Will they attack them at sea? Or will they attack them at their bases in other
02:21countries? If they attack bases in other countries, then one, America will also want to strike back.
02:28Number two, many of those countries will see it as an attack on themselves.
02:33So then the war starts widening. That is one. The second thing that the Iranians can do is block the
02:41Straits of Hormuz from where almost 30% of the world's oil flows. And if they do that, then the
02:49impact is global. Then this impact does not, at least the economic impact is global. So there will be
02:55that particular issue. And then all countries get affected. India gets affected. All other countries
02:59get affected. China gets affected very badly. Because all their oil flows from that area.
03:05Now, will the Iranians go down that road? Are they that desperate? Will they agree to some kind of
03:12negotiated settlement even now? And will that negotiated settlement become a total surrender,
03:19which Donald Trump wants? Or will that negotiated settlement leave some, you know, face saver for the
03:28Iranians? So I think there are a lot of unknowns right now. And not enough clarity on how the future
03:35trajectory of events will play out. The president gave a white statement over this attack. He also
03:41warned Iran. Says from long period of 40 years, they were claiming that they will bomb down Israel
03:47or America. And also says that Iran will not give statement like this if they have to choose
03:53two-part mission piece. You know, look, right now, there are a lot of statements during the rounds.
04:00One is Donald Trump's statement. How seriously does one take Donald Trump? I think there is an open
04:05question about that. Donald Trump says many things. And you don't know what he's actually going to
04:13stick to and what he is not. So one is that part of it. The second is there are a lot of statements
04:20coming from the Iranian side as well. And a lot of rhetorical flourishes are coming from the Iranian
04:27side. The gates of hell will open and all sorts of other things. Cities will burn. All kinds of stuff
04:33is coming from them. That this will be a never-ending war. Do the Iranians actually want a never-ending
04:41war with some country like the United States? Does the United States want a long-drawn-out war?
04:47It's already got into two or three wars and not really come out with any kind of an end game.
04:55So it's a very messy situation. I think statements will, of course, be played up. But beyond that point,
05:03I don't think statements necessarily point to the trajectory of events that will take place.
05:10Sir, one question could be the United Nations government. General Secretary Antonio Guterres
05:16gave a very strong statement, says that America has broken up the law and also escalations were not
05:22at the world level. How would you look at the U.N. statement?
05:26I don't know if anybody even takes the U.N. Secretary General seriously anymore. What is his worth
05:32to anybody anyways? He just keeps talking endlessly. He has, as Stalin said in the Second World War
05:41about the Pope, how many divisions does the U.N. Secretary General command? Only losing
05:47or losers from Pakistan quote Antonio Guterres and take his statement seriously. I don't think
05:55any serious country in the world takes the U.N. seriously anymore.
