The runway at Kuching International Airport has re-opened after a final safety check by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).

In a Facebook post on Monday (June 23), Malaysia Airports said the runway re-opened at 2.00 PM and flights are now resuming as normal.

00:09In a Facebook post on Monday, Malaysia Airport said the runway reopened at 2pm and flights are now resuming as normal.
00:17The runway was temporarily closed following a military aircraft incident on the runway.
00:22The incident occurred at 11.15am when the CN-235 Medium Transport aircraft encountered issues during landing.
00:32This prompted the authorities to halt all commercial flights and reroute several inbound services as a safety measure.
00:38Sarawak Minister for Transport, Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin expressed concern over the incident
