00:03Logan was one of the most talented people that I've ever met.

00:08There was so much genius in his brain that it just came bursting out in amazing ways.

00:13I just think of him as like a mad scientist of sound and songwriting.

00:17More silly songs! God, I'm just full of it.

00:25People seem to view comedy music as somehow lesser than.

00:29If you look at the craft behind it, there's a lot going on there.

00:32Logan was really in touch with all the parts of childhood and your early life experience that people try and get you to grow out of.

00:40I've never really met somebody quite like Logan Whitehurst.

00:43Seeing the world through his eyes is such a privilege.

00:46If you can have more people be like him, the world just would have so much hope.

00:50Hi, I'm Connor Nyberg, and for the last four years I've been working on a documentary about Logan Whitehurst.

00:55Logan was a talented artist, drummer, and songwriter who made solo music under the Junior Science Club,

01:00which quickly became known for its high production value and absurdist lyrics.

01:08There's a lot of rage out there, and creative people use their music as a vent for it.

01:13And I don't know, I'd rather write songs that are more positive and upbeat and fun.

01:19Make people smile rather than frown or cry.

01:24When Logan passed away at the age of 29 in 2006, it left a strong impact on everyone who knew him.

01:29With your friend Logan, we hope to share Logan's legacy and the joy he left behind to an even wider audience.

01:35In 2020, we raised nearly $17,000 through Kickstarter, and while the pandemic set us back some,

01:41we've eventually been able to interview over three dozen people about Logan and his impact.

01:46Now we come to Indiegogo looking to secure the finishing funds necessary to complete this awesome project.

01:52With this fundraiser, there are three major aspects of post-production that you'd be helping to fund.

01:57Animation by the talented Ryan Kurzak.

01:59Insurance.

02:02And finally, a lot of other costs that, when added up, make a huge slice of the pie.

02:06We expect to have this film completed by September of 2023, at which point we'll begin sending it around to film festivals.
