00:02Chase Burns, the second overall pick in the 2024 draft,
00:05will be caught up by the Reds according to multiple sources.
00:08Looks like he's going to pitch on Tuesday.
00:11And from the looks of it, this guy looks like he's coming in Major League ready here, Tom Vecchio.
00:16Yeah, looking at some of his minor league numbers are unbelievable.
00:20Like, truly unbelievable.
00:22Now, these aren't going to be sustainable at the Major League level.
00:25So, he started the year in high A, and his strikeout rate was 44.4%.
00:30He moves up to double A, drops down to 36.4%, moves up to triple A, and it drops down to 30.4%.
00:37And that's what we do see from these, like, really high strikeout pitchers.
00:40It starts and gradually goes lower.
00:42So, when he gets to Major League level, I would like to say he's going to be that 25%, 26% strikeout type of pitcher.
00:47But that's awesome.
00:48That's really, really good.
00:49And, you know, we've got to look where the Reds are right now, where, you know, obviously sitting a few games behind in the NL Central.
00:55But I think they can make a push for a wild card.
00:57So, if you're looking to, say, how do we look forward to a betting market for the Reds, it's probably a to-make-the-playoffs type of bet.
01:04It wouldn't be to win the NL Central.
01:06But to-make-the-playoffs with the pitching that they have, if they get Hunter Greenback on top of Andrew Abbott, who's on the mound today, they got some pieces.
