00:07a massive fire believed to have started at an oil storage facility.
00:11State Environment Director Dr. Mohammad Fahmy Youssof said air quality monitoring began
00:16at 8 p.m. on Saturday at three key locations including SK Seri Kota Puteri and fire control
00:23post on Jalan Kempas Dua Belas.
00:26While no volatile organic compounds were detected at the sites, ammonia gas was found at the
00:32fire control post.
00:34Fortunately, the levels remain below the acute exposure guideline level 2, meaning there is
00:39no serious health risk at this time.
00:42Monitoring will continue on Sunday as a precautionary measure, with authorities linking the presence
00:48of ammonia to the ongoing blaze, which has yet to be fully extinguished.
00:53On Saturday, 34 firefighters and nine fire engines were deployed to the Kota Puteri industrial
01:00area near Taman Megahriya to tackle the massive fire.
