Transcript
00:00And I just saw Ben's face kind of go, uh-oh.
00:14And I swear, the whole crew is in the room.
00:16We all turn around, and that cat's name is Juice, which is like the greatest cat name.
00:20And Juice is just pooping right there on the floor.
00:24It was like ten people watching a cat poop, slowly.
00:27Discontinuity, take one.
00:30Hey, my name's Lori Felker, and I'm the writer, director, editor, and probably other stuff for Discontinuity.
00:37Discontinuity is a short film that takes place on the evening when someone returns home.
00:45They're in a long-distance relationship. It's a couple.
00:47So the girlfriend returns home, and it's just the next 15 minutes, and their conversation is awkward,
00:53and they realize they've missed things in each other's lives, and they're just trying to catch up,
00:58but they can't really connect, and then it gets a little absurd.
01:01He has become a cat caretaker for many friends, and so she's surprised to see that they had one cat,
01:09and now she's returned, and there are nine.
01:11Ben I've known for a while, and he's actually in another video of mine, and he just cracks me up.
01:16I think he's amazing, and so I invited him to the casting call for the female part, and so I got to see him improvise and perform with all these different women,
01:25and there were a lot of great choices, but he and Sam just had this special chemistry that I just, it was clear right away,
01:32and so then we rehearsed the scene over and over again from start to finish, just to play it out like a real 15 minutes,
01:39and so they just got super used to it, and so then when we had to break it up while we were shooting,
01:43they just flowed right through it like they were in their own apartment.
01:46Taddy, is this you? Tad? Taddy?
