00:00Harry and William's relationship with the press has never been easy if you look back you can see

00:09the seeds for this rift were sown way back in their childhood it is generally assumed that

00:14the problems began when their mother died but as a collection of so far unseen photographs show

00:21they started long before that from very early on we knew there was another woman when everybody knew

00:30there was another woman Camilla Parker Bowles was escorting her yeah this is a picture of them

00:35looking in this on the enclosure that was the picture that published the next day that's where

00:39they've cropped it that's done by a picture editor people were started talking about this Camilla

00:44problem it was virtually impossible for her to prove a private life the paparazzi are all over

00:50her perhaps like bounty hunters they're there to get something that they can probably make a lot of

00:57money with there must have been in what 30 or 40 of you at least there was this moment of anxiety here

01:26because the levels of intrusion were becoming almost unbearable when Meghan was revealed to be Harry's

01:33new girl the press was incredibly excited about this relationship you have a sense of the press wanting

01:39to create a fairy tale story William telling Harry to take things slowly can be seen as William asserting

01:46his authority and that created this cataclysmic sort of clash between the brothers it was like some sort

01:55of hand grenade being lobbed into the room from being the great heroine Meghan becomes the villain of the

02:02piece as always with the tabloid press these stories came from anonymous sources whose agenda did it suit

02:10Charles is very very wary of the press so he certainly does not want to poke the beast William clearly went

02:19along with his father's decision and Harry made it clear that he was not going to take it lying down

02:24how did it come to this a royal prince hounded out of his own country he was very courageous to go

02:33against the press because he has a lot to risk what will be the future because I think many people will

02:42want to to bring him down
