00:00The Book of Numbers Chapter 1

00:04And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation,

00:12on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the

00:16land of Egypt, saying, Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel,

00:21after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names,

00:26every male by their poles. From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war

00:32in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies. And with you there shall be a man

00:38of every tribe, every one head of the house of his fathers. And these are the names of the men

00:43that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Eliezer the son of Shadur, of Simeon, Shalumiel

00:50the son of Zerishadai, of Judah, Nashon the son of Amminadab, of Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar,

00:58of Zebulun, Eliab the son of Halon, of the children of Joseph, of Ephraim, Elishamah the son of Amihud,

01:06of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Petazur, of Benjamin, of Biden the son of Gideoni, of Dan,

01:14Ahiazer the son of Amishadai, of Asher, Pajiel the son of Ochran, of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Duel,

01:22of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan. These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the

01:29tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel. And Moses and Aaron took these men,

01:35which are expressed by their names. And they assembled all the congregation together on the

01:39first day of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house

01:44of their fathers according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward by their

01:49poles. As the Lord commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai. And the children

01:57of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers

02:03according to the number of the names, by their poles, every male from twenty years old and upward,

02:08all that were able to go forth to war. Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben,

02:15were forty and six thousand and five hundred. Of the children of Simeon, by their generations,

02:21after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them,

02:26according to the number of the names, by their poles, every male from twenty years old and upward,

02:32all that were able to go forth to war. Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of

02:38Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred. Of the children of Gad, by their

02:44generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers according to the number of the names,

02:50from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war. Those that were numbered

02:55of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty. Of the children

03:02of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the

03:07number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war.

03:13Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were three score and fourteen thousand

03:18and six hundred. Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the

03:24house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward,

03:28all that were able to go forth to war. Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe

03:34of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred. Of the children of Zebulun,

03:40by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to

03:45the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth

03:49to war, those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and

03:54seven thousand and four hundred. Of the children of Joseph, namely of the children of Ephraim,

03:59by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to

04:04the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth

04:08to war, those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand

04:14and five hundred. Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families,

04:20by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years

04:25old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war, those that were numbered of them, even

04:30of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred. Of the children

04:36of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according

04:42to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go

04:47forth to war, those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty

04:53and five thousand and four hundred. Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after

04:59their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from

05:04twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war, those that were numbered

05:09of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were three score and two thousand and seven hundred. Of

05:15the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their

05:20fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that

05:24were able to go forth to war, those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher,

05:30were forty and one thousand and five hundred. Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their

05:35generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number

05:39of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,

05:43those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand

05:48and four hundred. These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered,

05:54and the princes of Israel, being twelve men, each one was for the house of his fathers.

05:59So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers,

06:04from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel. Even all they

06:09that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

06:16But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them. For the Lord had

06:21spoken unto Moses, saying, Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of

06:27them among the children of Israel. But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony,

06:33and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it, they shall bear the

06:40tabernacle and all the vessels thereof, and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about

06:46the tabernacle. And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down. And when

06:53the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up, and the stranger that cometh nigh

06:59shall be put to death. And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own

07:05camp, and every man by his own standard throughout their hosts. But the Levites shall pitch round

07:12about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of

07:17Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony. And the children of

07:24Israel did, according to all that the Lord commanded Moses. So did they.
