00:00Let's go to the U.S. because something really interesting is happening.
00:03They were able to get a 5-0 victory over Trinidad y Tobago,
00:07but the most interesting thing is that it happened without Capitán America,
00:11without Pulisic Nick.
00:13Is this what happens when players of that category decide to take vacations,
00:19take the summer off, and giving an opening for other systems to come to fruition?
00:25Talk to me.
00:25There's been a lot of criticism of our star player over that.
00:29We don't need to get more into it.
00:31You're on whatever side you're going to be on,
00:33whether he should be in this tournament or not.
00:34I think he should, but whatever.
00:36You know, he's got the World Cup coming up.
00:37Maybe he needs a mental break.
00:38Whatever.
00:39That's up to him.
00:40Now, the bigger thing at play, I think Pochettino's vision is sort of coming to fruition.
00:44There was a bit of a panic.
00:45People were freaking out because U.S. men's national team's been,
00:48let's say, underperforming lately, as of late,
00:50or at least not meeting expectations.
00:52And they're paying a lot of money for this fancy new shiny coach,
00:54and he's just not delivering.
00:55Or so we thought.
00:57Maybe his plan just needed to take a little time,
00:59give these young players a little bit of connection,
01:02these young homegrown players, these local guys,
01:05and let it kind of work itself out.
01:07And I think we might be starting to see that 5-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.
01:11Okay, not a huge team, not a huge opponent,
01:13but I think that that was a win that we really needed to calm people's nerves,
01:17to calm the ease and the pressure on the coach, on the team, on everybody,
01:21so that they can actually do what they're trying to do.
01:23And I think this was a good first step.
01:255-0, that's a good opening match.
01:27Okay, we're not Bayern Munich here, but, you know, we needed this.
01:30And I'm hoping things come to fruition and keep playing out.
01:32We saw, I don't know, PSG shine when Neymar and Messi left.
01:36So, I mean, I think maybe the U.S. needs a more balanced squad,
01:40and maybe that's how you do it.
01:41And then afterwards, when Pulisic decides it's time to come in,
01:43maybe he'll come in and add his magic to it.
01:46Or maybe it's too late.
01:46Or maybe they won't need him.
01:47Let me tell you, maybe they got rid of the cancer of the team,
01:51because it happens many times where la super estrella superstar, you know,
01:55acts like a diva and takes the energy away from the rest of the players.
01:59Now, let's bring it all home with the last team of this trifecta, which is Canada.
02:05Canada, the most convincing team.
02:07I was talking to you guys last week about it.
02:10For me, the candidate to be the winner of this tournament.
02:14What is the future of Canada in this tournament?
02:17I mean, it's amazing.
02:18You just mentioned it.
02:19Jesse March, I know him personally.
02:21Such an amazing human being and a great coach.
02:24He's been all around the world.
02:25And for Canada to have him, I mean, they won the lottery with Jesse March.
02:29Very passionate coach that is going to make a difference in the results for Canada.
02:33Not just in the Gold Cup, but also in the World Cup.
