Tinkercad is a powerful yet beginner-friendly 3D design and modeling tool ideal for makers, students, and educators. In this course, you’ll learn how to create stunning 3D models using Tinkercad’s simple, intuitive interface. From building basic shapes and designing prototypes to exporting files for 3D printing, you’ll discover how to bring your ideas to life in a virtual workspace quickly and creatively.

In this video lesson, we’ll discuss about Using Using Shape Generators in Tinkercad

00:00There are different sort of shape generators that you can access inside of Tinkercad as well. So to
00:11do that, over here where you see the basic shapes, you simply need to click right here. And then once
00:17you do that, you'll be able to see shape generators. And then you can access out different shape
00:22generators that you see right here. You can see that it is loading and there's different sort of
00:27shapes that can be generated as you can see right here. For example, there is this shape. Let me
00:32just go ahead and click and then click right here and you can see that this is a crack. I can go ahead
00:38and resize this out right here just like this as well. So you can go ahead and change around the
00:43randomizer right here for the cracks right here and you get a random sort of cracks. You can change the
00:49number of cells right here as well and even change the tile size right here. Change the cell spacing
00:55right here just like this as well for the cracks that you can see right here. So you can create
00:59different sort of tiles as you can see just like this. So this is what you have. Apart from that,
01:05you can see that this is what you have right here. And now I can go ahead right here and then change
01:10around the cell spacing right here just like this. Change around the cell height and even change around
01:15the peaks right here. I can even go ahead and add in some peaks as well. You can also add a varying height
01:21right here just like this so that the height of the tiles vary out and it looks like gravel as well.
01:28And this is one of the type of safe generator. Apart from that, there's different sort of generators
01:34like the spring as you can see right here. So this is what you have. I can go ahead and change around
01:38the R1 right here. So radius 1, radius 2 right here just like this and then you can change the offset as
01:46well and then even go ahead and change around the rotation right here just like this as well. So I can
01:52go ahead and change around the rotation right here just like this. Change around the offset as well. And
01:57this is the type of spring that you have right here. And that is how you can go ahead and generate
02:02different sort of shapes right here according to how you want. Like let's say for example you got the
02:07text right here. So you can change the inner diameter of the text. You can change around the arc of the
02:13text. You can invert the curves of the text and so forth. So you can go ahead and change and play
02:18around with these as you can see right here. So you can see that I got the fan. I can go around onto the
02:24length. I can change the blades right here just like this as well and even change the angle according
02:29to how you want as well. So that is how you can work around with shape generators inside of Tinkercad.
