00:00What is rugby? It's a sport that originated in England in the 19th century.
00:06It's S played with an oval ball, and the objective of the game is to score more points than the other team
00:13by carrying or kicking the ball over the opposition S goal line.
00:17Now, the field is rectangular, much like soccer or football, and each team has 15 players on the field at a time.
00:26The game is divided into two halves, each lasting 40 minutes,
00:31and the team that scores the most points at the end of the game wins.
00:35There are several ways to score points.
00:38You can score a try, which is worth 5 points, or you can kick a conversion, which is worth 2 points,
00:45or you can kick a penalty kick, which is also worth 3 points.
00:50The sport is known for being very physical and fast-paced.
00:53With players often colliding with each other, and the ball being moved quickly from one player to the next,
01:00if you're new to the sport, it might seem a bit confusing.
