00:00Surreal, to be quite honest. This has been a huge long journey to get here. It's been an extremely emotional journey.
00:05I've spent most of the last several months talking about death and dying, and that does weigh heavily on me individually,
00:10but also on lots of other people as well. But it was the right thing to happen.
00:14I've had some abuse and some unpleasantness. That sadly is the nature of politics these days.
00:20But I've also engaged with people who have a different view, and have been prepared to sit down and have a respectful debate about that.
00:25And I will continue to do that. And whatever reassurances anybody needs about the legislation itself,
00:30but also about the other issues that have come up as a result of this debate, I will keep talking about those issues.
00:35Whether it's palliative care and the need to invest more in that. We'll put the pressure on the government to do that.
00:39If it's about the rights of disabled people. And some of the things that I've heard have really upset me, thinking,
00:43goodness me, is that how you feel? Let's work together to combat some of those other issues as well.
