00:00You know, I had to reinvent what I wanted to do with judo because it was such an important
00:14part of my life and, you know, your training and your competing and the camaraderie and
00:19the friendship.
00:20So then I began, like, getting into coaching and then, you know, doing refereeing and then
00:25it became another extension of what I've done since I was six, seven years old.
00:32My job is to listen to people, find a solution to problems and listen to what their solutions
00:37are for their problems so that we all are doing the best for judo aid in Canada and I
00:41think that's really important.
00:47We've actually really built a strong national team now and I think, you know, before people
00:53didn't look as Canadians as being that strong of international competitors, but I think
00:58one of the projects and goals that we really worked hard on was trying to get that established
01:03and I think we definitely have done that.
01:23I'm proud that we actually did a Grand Prix on the IJF circuit.
01:36I think that was good for not only Judo Canada, but also for the athletes that just participate.
