00:00Flash floods hit low-lying areas in several parts of Selangor on Friday morning.

00:06The heavy rain that started from 6am caught many by surprises causing floods in Jalan Kebun in Klang

00:12and Kota Kemuning Township in Shah Alam.

00:19Roads and homes were inundated by 8am, with many being stuck in traffic jams

00:24and being forced to move belongings to higher ground.

00:26Vehicles that were not able to be moved in time were left stranded in floodwaters.

00:32Reports said that an elderly woman was briefly trapped in her home in Taman Bukit Kemuning

00:37before being rescued by members of the public.

00:41Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said water levels reached about 1 metre high,

00:46though no evacuation centres were opened.
